Now for a change, here's a good new from Canada. BASED and RED-PILLED Quebec Prime Minister François Legault has done it again: from November 1st, all returnable cans are worth 10 cent (35 cent for >500ml containers).
Previously, it was a whole mess: the same container size could have an tax of 20, 5, or NO cents. It was done for recycling concerns, but I believe over the years, the tax was more about the content than the container. A 500ml can of ice tea was not returnable, a 500ml can of pepsi was 5 cent, and a 500ml can of beer was worth 20 cent. It was retarded.
But now BASED François Legault said (in his french accent): ze cans vill be worth dix cent, et ze people vill be happy.
My cynical brain tells me they want more tax money, and that's a way to kill two birds with one stone.
