I think this is happening to alot of us. I tried to remain friends with people who suck the govt dick and who think that there is a "perfectly scientific or reasonable" explanation for all of this. Well except when you tell them its the government then they short circuit. Anywhoo I also snapped at one of my long term friends the other day because I just couldnt take the dick sucking stupidity and I told him he had his head so far up his ass he was burping farts. I never would have said that otherwise I am usually a live and let live kinda person.

It really isn't a huge issue unless you live in certain areas of certain cities of the US, certainly not to the same degree as it looks in Canada.

Blacks are like, what, 14% of the US population? And most of that is concentrated in city centers. The ones who live outside cities tend not to nig it up either, they try to be polite and fit in with everyone else. There are still lots of overwhelmingly white rural and suburban areas of the US.

As much as people love to talk about it, on an actual day to day basis it doesn't seem like racial politics are as much of an issue in America.

I don't feel sorry for anyone living in the Greater Toronto Area. These people want pajeets and brown people screaming about wars for some shitty dirty land. This government is not so subtly telling the pleb they should live like jeets, pull up your bootstraps, have multiple roommates in your thirties. The pleb exist to line the pockets of the rich (landlords).

Speaking of, purchase renovictions have become very common in my area. After the landlord sells, the new owners use every dirty trick in the book to make life as painful as possible for existing tenants to get them to leave. Maliciously cutting electricity/water, causing property damage, doing endless renovations (That are done by pajeets of course) in empty units that make every neighbor's unit unlivable due to excessive noise (And believe me, these fucks show up at the crack of dawn to make noise). All in all being a nuisance. It is difficult to fight, as with every public service, rental boards are petrified and take months to hear a case. All the while you get abused by the rich and powerful bourgeois class.

The new owners also tend to be corporate landlords who are betting on our elected officials to keep the immigration floodgates open. The insane demand for rental units allows landlords to make illegal demands, and for bidding wars for a rental unit to take place.

We end up subsidizing landlords using the basic personal amount (BPA) and then the government defenestrates you with endless income tax, contributions to services (pension plan anyone?) that you won't be able to make use of, and sales tax.

I don't think the conservative party will change this. PP has no tangible solutions other than screaming shitty soundbytes on Twitter about how "Trudeau is not worth the cost!". The permanent slave labour program is one of Harper's brainchildren.

I'm fortunate enough to live in a nice (and cheap) part of Toronto , but I am starting to see a slow and steady increase in homelessness, both in the streets and in the transit system. I have also had more encounters with shady/paranoid people then I have in my younger years.

I have considered other places, but the question here is: "are they any better?". When it comes to other places in Ontario, there isn't a whole lot I consider better than here. Windsor is nice, but suffers the same problems of shadiness and squalor (it is also a much smaller city). Places like Sarnia and Chatham-Kent are small as well. I used to live in Scarborough, but I find that it is too suburban.

I have also thought about moving to places in the US. New York seems like the most obvious choice, but its reputation for noise and overall dirtiness makes me uncertain. Places in New England (and nearby) have also been on my mind, but results were often mixed. Boston seems like a promising place to go, but on the other hand, a place like Providence is smaller and riddled with poverty.

In conclusion, my search for a better city has been... inconclusive. For anybody deciding to move out of Canada, where are you actually going? Feel free to leave your personal experiences and secondhand accounts here.

I visited NYC fifteen years ago, but I heard things deteriorated to the point where it's like the 70s and 80s again. The west coast is also a no-go because the nonstop BLM/Antifa riots made cities like Seattle and Portland unliveable. San Fran is too expensive and a shithole, LA is riddled with gangs and homeless, and San Diego doesn't look any better. Only those with a death wish would move to Chicagoland or Baltimore. Also, given how migrants from the southern border are getting bussed to all corners of the country, I'm certain that things will deteriorate.

You can also try Dallas and Nashville if you want to live in the US. The South has a ton of areas you can go to and start a new life without too much bullshit.

Montana's incredibly expensive these days. Bozeman has been referred to as Boz-Angeles for quite a while now. I think it's southern neighbor Wyoming is more affordable option... but unless you like raging winds blowing against you 24/7, there really isn't much that the state has going for it other than Yellowstone.
