I think this comes from a fundamental difference in how you view the system(s) as an outsider to them.
The problem isn't money/capitalism, it's an inherent flaw in power, power dynamics, and large power structures.
Functionally nothing ever happens to the corrupt people in China sans a few particularly stupid, expendable idiots.Yes. But while the US laughs at China, seeing all the corrupt officials and Billionaires jailed, they must be so corrupt. Barely anything happens to those types in the West. Oh he just stepped down from his position. And kept all the money.
The difference between the wumao posts and the non-wumao posts is that generally the former generally seems to show a dislike for America while the latter goes more for a dislike of the leadership of America.
Eh, ceasefires pretty much exist to be violated. They're less of a "no shooting" agreement and more of a "We can't agree to stop shooting but we can agree to keep it from escalating" agreement. If this world had any balls, violating a ceasefire agreement should result in the whole country being wiped from existence. We have a Geneva Convention for a reason I hope. Obviously, they are exempt from being outright pariahs because they're Middle Eastern.
Speaking of that, I heard that pro-Hamas protesters tried to disrupt the Thanksgiving Day parade. I'm not surprised.
I gotta say that's far more likely than Terminator at this rate.>Be American
>Be busy doing American things
>Suddenly explosions go off
>Look up at the sky
>Missiles are streaking overhead
>Bombers are dropping their payloads all over your city
>Run in panic
>Even more shit explodes
>Take shelter in a roadside ditch
>Drones are attacking first responders
>Check your phone to see what's going on
>No signal
>All critical infrastructure is down
>Look back up
>See big ass cargo planes dropping paratroopers over your city
>They land in the streets
>They go building to building
>One of them says something in a language you can't understand
>He pulls his pants down
>He shits in the middle of the street
>Other foreign paratroopers start shitting in the street too
>They're Indian
>Get taken prisoner
>You hear one of the soldiers bragging to you in broken English
>Since they were the once to program the military AI, they got to decide who would be perceived as the enemy
>India is now the world's premier superpower
>They celebrate by declaring toilets racist
Our politicians used to call each other slave rapists and hermaphrodites when they weren't busy dueling each other or beating the fuck out of one another.Well it's more about the casual attitude of Americans. About who they think should be nuked. "The whole Middle East should be nuked" "2 nukes wasn't enough for Japan". "Russia should be nuked" "China should be nuked". Why do Americans seem so invested in nuking everyone? They come across as homicidal maniacs.
"It's just a joke, we don't really want to nuke them, just carpet bomb them like Laos."
I miss dueling being encouraged. Our politicians used to call each other slave rapists and hermaphrodites when they weren't busy dueling each other or beating the fuck out of one another.
Tl;dr: "Boohoo, we're upset that American hegemony makes Chinese hegemony hard!"Interesting commentary I came across:
"The point is that there’s something unique about US geopolitics, and that of Western colonial states before it, in that they have these extremely aggressive characteristics - the impulse to subjugate and pillage others - that actually often harm their security rather than safeguard it. With the undue power the moneyed class has over the state in those systems of government. Which is hard to deny if one looks at things historically: for instance it is the East India Company that initiated the colonization and pillage of India, not the British state that only came afterwards to essentially pacify growing rebellion in India so as to perpetuate the ongoing pillage.
Or take a more recent example: the war in Iraq. It makes very little sense from an American security or survival perspective but it makes eminently good sense from a US oil company or economic hegemony perspective. Or again the current conflict in Gaza, which is extremely negative for American security as it generates busloads of hatred throughout the Muslim world against America and diverts American attention from more consequential geopolitical challenges. But it makes sense if you look at it from the standpoint of perpetrating a hegemonic system.
In other words, the point is that the key characteristic of the “rules-based international order” relates to the actual structure of the American (or British, French, Australian, etc) social and economic system, which seeks to enforce an order where the whole world is open to the penetration and control of their respective national moneyed classes. Which is why the order is about hegemony, and not about security, and why the former so often comes at the expense of the latter."
I wouldn't be surprised if Vivek ripped that off Obama, but from an American point of view, allow me to just point out that these are some very common political talking points. E Pluribus Unum is on our money. I have a dream is from Martin Luther King.
The irony of commies complaining about insane ravingsWell it's more about the casual attitude of Americans. About who they think should be nuked. If we were going Soviet, you would have been thread banned already.Isn't this thread constantly pointing out massive voter fraud, corporate and billionaire backed puppet candidates, and people going to jail over memes? I thought you guys were going Soviet.
Because all those people should be. Simple as. Whether we do so or not is a different matter.Well it's more about the casual attitude of Americans. About who they think should be nuked. To be fair I've fucked up my post editing like that before too.
You forgot that Americans want to nuke American cities as well, gotta nuke something. Nukes are the best we have until we come up with some orbital drop system and then we'll switch to saying "we need to colony drop those fuckers in New York"Why do Americans seem so invested in nuking everyone?
Wait until we get out to the asteroid belt and start attaching rocket engines to those fuckersYou forgot that Americans want to nuke American cities as well, gotta nuke something. The fact you don't understand it at all and could not understand it no matter how long we explain it to you is why your posts are pretty much just taking up space to scroll by.Well it's more about the casual attitude of Americans. Interesting it seems to be the same guys that hang out on the "Support Israel" and "Support Ukraine" threads that seem to lose it. You guys all NAFO or something?
