Think of it as a cautionary tale for others.

This ends in two ways: he has a health scare/run in with the law/some other occurrence that brings him to a moment of clarity and he gets into recovery, or he continues to alienate everyone around him and ends up drinking himself to death in a meth shack in the woods and his estranged family has to make arrangements for the body. Since he can look in the mirror every day, or hell, even see his haggard appearance in thumbnails of his own streams and he "doesn't have a problem" my money's on the latter resolution.

Yeah, that’s how he was telling it, the reasons for why he takes Provigil instead of the alternatives. Idk what the issue with Ritalin was, or if he mentioned it, but the comments about Adderall stood out so much because what he was saying was alarming. He explicitly said it wasn’t that it made him feel like murdering someone, but that if he’d stayed on it, he could / would actually snap & murder. He highlighted that he was meaning it literally, without exaggeration or hyperbole.

As far as I know, while Rekieta has mentioned his prescription to Provigil/Modafinil, he has never mentioned that he took Ritalin for narcolepsy in the past, or if he did, it hasn't really made a mark in the thread. There is only one person mentioning it and they may have confused it with Provigil.

He has mentioned it on some occasions, but not very often. He said that he used to be on Ritalin "for a long time" for narcolepsy, because his insurance didn't want to pay for provigil. He was switched to Adderall after he drove to Texas and had "pulled" his forearms. He also talked about how he could hear his heartbeat on Ritalin and he has a family history of heart issues. First time he took Adderall, he passed out on his recliner while standing and holding one of his kids, so his doctor said he should not take it.
That is based on his stories from livestreams, so its a good idea to take it with a grain of salt.
