Hey peter made a 30 minute video crying about how no one watched his blazblue LORE video. He admitted he would delete videos and reupload them if they didn't get enough views in the first hours. That's gamedude level behavior. He can do what he wants but if you're trying to make videos with that behavior you're headed straight for a mental breakdown or linkara status.

Watched the Crawley and SH one and both made me really just sad and irritated.

The SH story is just heartbreaking. I can't even put it into words. Book sperging powerlevel here but it reminds me of this one book I read once about a teacher dealing with a special needs child.

Torey Hayden, btw. She has written a lot of those books which are based on her real experience as a sped teacher.

This story also makes me think of something @SpergPatrol once said in this thread about how society doesn't give a shit about the disabled or the mentally challenged. That stuck with me on an existential level and I suspect that the same thing happened to Genie after she was taken to another care facility.

Tl;dr: It's about a girl named "Genie" (a pseudonym given to her to protect her identity) who was locked away in a room for the first 13 years of her life because her father was a fucking monster, and her mother was too disabled to stop him. Because of that isolation, and because her father hated noise so much that nobody in the house was ever permitted to talk much, or even do things like watch TV, or listen to the radio, Genie herself never learned how to speak, and was severely developmentally, and physically delayed.

She eventually did gain the ability to talk (albeit poorly), and made considerable other progress, but due to her past trauma as well passed from place to place where she'd be further victimized, she regressed, and was eventually dropped off in some undisclosed asylum in California where she remains to this day.

Honestly that's one of the reasons why I dropped Disturban. It comes across as sensational garbage, when you consider how he used to title videos.

In less words, easy to consume content. Easy to consume content pays the bills for other personal videos that they want to do like the Ted video or Martin Luther King. It's like the old Hollywood trend with some directors that start small, do one large marvel movie and then a small indie film or other passion project. The average YouTuber viewer expectations are rediculous to the point that I don't think anyone from traditional/legacy media would be able to survive in the landscape. Just like television, just change the channel if there is nothing on the screen worth watching.
