To some extent, I'm not surprised he tried to incorporate more of his personality into his content. Following niche internet lawsuits is okay when you don't have any competition, but when you attempt to cover more exposed cases like Johnny Depp you're against a dozen other people doing the same thing. I'd say he struck a good balance during the Johnny Depp case. He appeared somewhat-respectable and just edgy enough to appeal to your more cynical or edgy Gen-X/Late boomer demographic. This is actually one of the saddest things related to Nick I have seen. Some guy who enthusiastically watched all of his streams, made them significantly more watchable for free and seemed to genuinely enjoy them just silently moved on and started the same work for the people who are destroying him.

He lost an actual fan who wrote "Hello, Nick!" out of the goodness of his heart and he will never regain that, that relationship is gone forever.

It feels bad until you think of all the wasted time, effort, and money people spent on this guy.
