Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

For all I hated the Galar starters, those are clearly bunny front and hind legs and paws. I have no issue with them.
It's the shape of the legs and the size of the feet that looks uncanny. It looks like there's a pair of human legs inside.

I can't agree that they look like bunny legs. To me this is what a humanoid with bunny legs looks like

Battle Revolution has the best animations, it's unreal.

Galar Tards shitting at DistantKingdom for pointing this out, saying he's a pedo and a foot fetishist, just proves they are butthurt
Pokemon fans, especially the newer breed, calling anyone a pedophile carries as much weight as a tranny calling you a "weirdo"
Cue to "They hated Jesus because he told them the truth" pic
Speaking of SwSh mods there is one that makes Nessa white, I really like that one
Fixed Nessa.jpg
Shame the game itself is so shit, so short of overhauling the entire thing nothing will fix it. Fixing models and animations is a start, at least.

Here is a mobile bootleg Pokemon game. Notice anything?
Remember, biggest media franchise in the world owned by NINTENDO vs some random chinks who made the game on a budget of 3 bowls of rice and a shoestring.
Fun fact: /vp/ jannies got so mad when these videos/webms were posted that they started BANNING posters for "offtopic". Joe Merrick of Serebii also got pissy when this was brought up, you tell me if the two are connected
*ugh*
I remember this. People were hyping up this game soon after Sword and Shield was released. I was worried about others overhyping this game, but others ay that others were UNDERHYPING the game. There were a few bringing up tha the game had far fewer mon tha they needed to animate... or tha the animations were stolen from other sources. Eventually, a blog mentioned tha this CHINESE app harvested tonnes of infornation from users, which petered ou the hype. (A lot of the servers hutting also got rid of a lot of hype...)

That is the reason why I wan to demake Sword and Shield after demaking Scarlet and Violet. I saw the GBA demake, bu that demake does not feel righ to me.

I checked out the SwSh modding scene. It's surprisingly extensive, even SV, PLA and BDSP are rather indepth compared to the paltry offerings of 3DS titles in the past.
Of note is that SwSh has plenty of outfit selections, basically letting you play as any previous Pokemon protagonist(that includes Wes from Colosseum). Combine that with the proto-open world nature and following Pokemon and you got yourself a recipe for the ultimate Pokemon game...
...Until you realize you're still playing Sword and Shield, with all it's awful technical problems, shitty writing and animation, laughable difficulty and ugly world. This is not something you can easily fix, however the biggest issue is the lack of all the Pokemon after Dexit. Turns out I found a mod that claims to fix that, with an *(you have to do something manually, but I don't speak French)
Things are looking good for the modding community, shame that it's one of the shittiest games that has to be used as a base

Kind of an aside, but I like Cinccino's voice:
Most Pokémon I see clips of and think "Really? That's the voice they went with?" I find Cinccino's really fitting, though. The "Cin cin cin cino cin" near the end is adorable. When/if I get around to BW, I hope I can find a spot on my team for this little guy.
Cincinno is pretty solid as long as you don't get Cute Charm. It has the movepool to support Skill Link and Technician and enough speed to blaze past anything relevant in-game.

We’ve got less than ten minutes until Pokémon drops an Indigo Disk-centric video, get your theories and guesses in a row.

EDIT: Here’s the video, no new Pokémon were shown off so there’s that.
  • A new cavern in Area Zero was shown off at the start and end of the video. Notable featrues include large crystals, a crystal tree, and Terapagos.
  • Double Battles are main battle format for The Indigo Disk as a lot of influencers have mentioned earlier, part of the video shows one featuring the player facing off against Carmine and others featuring the BB E4.
  • You can take part in missions known as “Blueberry Quests” (which I assume the Starter spawns will be tied to). One example shown is finding “Ditto Blocks” in certain areas with friends and includes other tasks like catching certain Pokémon, taking photos, battling, and other ones that have yet to be revealed. When completed you get Blueberry Points as reward.
  • A new feature called the Synchro Machine (which is accessible after you complete a side-quest) will allow players to control their Pokémon and battle wild Pokémon.
  • The “guest teacher” bit that was mentioned earlier is brought up. You can battle Paldea Gym Leaders again and you can trade Pokémon with ’em. Pokemon obtained via these trades will have a special Ribbon that will cause the Pokémon to display the original Trainer’s name when sent into battle.
  • You can encounter Legendary Pokémon via special snacks obtained with Blueberry Points. Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, Terrakion, Cobalion, Virizion, Latios, Latias, Kubfu, Glastrier, Spectrier, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Lunala, Solgaleo, Necrozma, Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem were shown off in the trailer as well.
  • Kieran is shown in the trailer with a new, angrier look. His hair has also been done up in a ponytail/topknot with scrunchie/band that shows off the purplish-pink portion. The scrunchie/band also looks an awful lot like Dokutaro or the Toxic Chains on The Loyal Three.
  • Raging Bolt and Iron Crown are shown off again.
  • The free flight feature is shown off in Paldea, confirming that it can indeed be permanently unlocked.
  • A small scene showing Koraidon/Miraidon spazzing out is shown. Koraidon glows red and fully extends its wings while Miraidon glows blue and its eyes go completely red.
  • Both forms of Terapagos are briefly shown at the near end, the player then charges up their Tera Orb and a partial reveal of what appears to be a third form is shown.
Some new events were also announced. You can get…
  • A Darkrai with the code NEWM00N1SC0M1NG (AFAICT it has no special moves) between now and December 21st
  • A Shiny Lucario with the code SH1NYBUDDY (moveset is Flash Cannon, Aura Sphere, Bullet Punch and Ice Punch) between now and January 3rd
  • A Master Ball can be obtained if you use Mystery Gift’s “Receive via Internet” function between now and January 3rd.
  • Dialga and Palkia are coming to 5-Star Tera Raids (both are Dragon Tera Type, expect them to be as tough as Walking Wake and Iron Leaves were) between December 8th and December 21st.
  • Special Mass Outbreaks featuring Flabébé, Litwick, and Milcery will take place between December 8th and December 21st. Flabébé is exclusive to Paldea, Litwick is exclusive to Kitakami, and Milcery is exclusive to the Terarium (yep, you‘ll actually have less time to hunt a Shiny Milcery than you will the other two). These Mass Outbreaks won’t have an increased chance of finding Marks like the last three but they apparently have a higher chance of spawning Shiny Pokémon.

A region based on the UK has so much to offer that didn't make it into the final games.

In 2019, Pokemon was still new-ish on the Switch, with Lets Go being more of a gimmick/pandering game instead of a full-blown mainline title.

Therefore, my expectations were high.

SwSh was announced as the first photorealistic open world pokeyman game. Photorealistic probably meant the photos from 1998s Pokemon snap. Honestly, those graphics are better than in SwSh.

Just to get things straight.
If i want to create a game with a UK based Region, why don't you take what the respective country is famous for?

There is no scary wood, the woods in the game are smaller than the First gym. Next, why is galar lacking a creepy castle in the style of Sinnohs old chateau, where is the creepy stuff in the game?
Maybe it's just because the creepapasta hype was long time dead in 2019, but the 3DS era was a glorious pandering to every enjoyer of a good fan theory, hence the slenderman reference in XY.

Where is Loch ness and the dangerous cliffs of Wales? The Regents park and the Buckingham palace?

What about the royal museum?
Instead we got a dumb scientist (a strong and Independent whamen of course) on a lonely route who puts together random parts to create flailing, gooning piles of twisted limbs that get banned from OU.

They added a snowy hallway and a desert instead.
Stonehenge became a goofy looking useless rock type i forgot about it even existed until now, when I was trying to remember if the monument got referred to in the game.

While some of the mon are flavorful for britain, like the grimmsnarl line, the hatterene line, Obstagoon and Corviknight, the Galar region is an excuse of a try at best.

There are so many iconic tropes, people and places associated with the UK that havent even been mentioned within the Games.
Like where is the looker, that man has been annoying players for three generations straight, but in a Region famous for Scorland Yard, where he would actually have fit in, there is not even a single police station, while Hawaii/Alola has multiple.

How does Eternatus fit into the region instead of gf adding more suitable creatures from britains folklore into the game. Eternatus does not fit in by any means and looks like a sweet more than it does look like a Pokemon.

The climax of the story feels displaced, is very uninspiring and like slapped on during the last 5 minutes of development.

Galar was wasted potential, they should have kept the setting to advance and use for later generations.

The Shiny rates for the new Mass Outbreaks released today have been discovered and it functions a bit differently than one would think, it's applied as a 0.5% initial chance upon spawning with the 99.5 remainder having the usual Shiny rate and the various multipliers you can add on (Shiny Charm, clearing 30-60 Pokémon from a specific Mass Outbreak, and Sparkling Power LV. 3).

It's honestly pretty decent, it's not as often as GO's Community Day's chances (1/25 chance) but it's enough to satisfy some people.

As a TCG player I can at least say that Stonjourner has some presence in the meta despite being goofy-looking, Stonjourner VMAX was an annoying rogue deck when it was Standard-legal and Single Strike Stonjourner is a common 1-Prizer in current Lugia VSTAR/Archeops decks.

Also speaking of regions and real life, I haven't played SV, but I guess that Paldea is only very loosely based on Spain.
It seems way less based on the region than previous games have been. If I didn’t know it was Spain because they told us it was I would not know it was based on it.

I would have said SW/SH is the worst but they had Windon. So I could at least get what it was trying to be.

It was a horrible region. Probably my least favorite.

Based on the Box Legendaries and the backstory of the game, the UK is actually the perfect setting. And they did nothing with it.

Despite the fact the King Arthur and it’s monarchy are things known.

The internet memeing Girl MC as Scottish and Boy MC as Londoner was about the most flavorful the games got while making sense…

The fact that Looker isn’t in the game when we are known for our police and he looks like a Doctor from Doctor Who is beyond me. That was the reason the internet memed him into being British in the first place. He was a police officer that looked like the 10th Doctor and just so happened to jump through space and time. And yet he is nowhere. Despite Who being something the UK is very known for. Despite the plot almost being tailor made for him to show up. It’s real odd.

Hawaii and Alola are the same, they even added the Rainbow tower to the panorama and the guardian deitys resembling the tribal statues of real patrons was genius in terms of worldbuilding.

They not only have police offices but authority buildings and other public Institutions like a disposal company. So much detail on such a small map.
Galar has nothing like this and in paldea you can't even enter clothing stores.
Wyndon has a good view but nothing more, it's London during lockdown, four hallways and one gym where the most boring battles in the universe take places.

Those aren't maps to resemble a real world, those are designed to shove in the bare minimum.
The bagpipe music in the wild area is depressing instead of making you fired up for adventure, Masuda knew what he was doing here.
The Plot is boring even by Pokémon Standards. I still dont get Roses motives and Eternatus should have been an ancient swamp dragon instead of big bad from outta space discount ultra necrozma.
Y no Dr. Moriarty or corrupted soccer manager villain?

Total Galar death tbh.

Also why does Chewtle exist? It looks like a retarded zoomer who faps in the staff rooms during his shift at target.

Because the series needed a water turtle. You know, because that's never been a thing before.

I was going to say that they couldn't really research the UK on-location due to the lockdowns. Then I looked it up and realized the games came out in 2019.

Gen 7 is my favorite Gen honestly. I just wish USUM had let you choose between doing Mantine or not. If USUM just had that change and did not completely screw up the good story that SM had the games would have been perfect.

Not saying it was good just I could tell what Region the games were trying to be.

Why not both? Ross has the getup for it.
Total Galar death tbh.
I realise how I would have done the game now actually. I would have done 4 ‘Islands’ like Alola and just cut the wild into pieces to cover those areas

So you get England, Wales and Scottland as distinct areas to go through and a fourth area being the Pokemon version of Avalon. For Post Game

3 gyms for each Region, 2 for the UK (maybe some Alola Style Mini Challenges) as London would have the League also and then Avalon would be the Post Game Area. Because those areas usually now are strange and have Legendary Catching in em. A magical wizard area explains the howcto that. But also kust pack it with strong retired champions for it’s Battle Tower esc thing. As Avalon is where Champions rest.
Give each area a member of a Legendary Trio themed on it. Avalon gets the Box Legend or Eternatus.

Seeiously, modelling the entire plot off King Arthur works so well for a UK Region and they don’t do anything with it.

As is with SWSH I get the feeling they didn’t really feel comfortable commiting to what they wanted to do free roaming and base game suffered as a result.
