Nick hates managing people, according to him. He cannot give the most basic instructions to employees. They should know exactly what he wants ans just do it. According to him, at least...

I personally think Nick is just a push-over and doesn't want to take responsibility for holding people to task.
No, I believe he actually is the kind of passive-aggressive piece of shit who doesn't tell employees what he wants then whines incessantly about them not reading his fucking mind, like the woman he is.
Why are we supposing the Nanny doesn't have explicit instructions to spend $3,000 on snacks?

The man has a demonstrable history of spending money on stupid crap, and he seems totally cool with the fact his diet is garbage. Proud even.

Let's not pawn any of this off on the nanny.

Maybe the Nannie has a gay husband and is embezzling money to "save the marriage."
The nanny supposedly has a boyfriend.

I agree with whomever said that he hired somebody young and dumb, who genuinely doesn't give a shit, and will just do whatever he says. Hence, the current situation.

I assume he has some Bill Clinton "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" definition where taking it up the ass from Hedonism II bulls doesn't count.
"Look chat, it's only gay if you push back......I'll get Doug and Joker on here and they'll back me up on this. Do you think Drex has been lying to me for the past 20 years?"

Thank you! Tried a dozen times & kept getting error mssg.

He cannot STOP talking about American Beauty.

Also, HOLY FUCK, he says that when Lester tries to 'improve himself by indulging his fantasy' ans the 'one time he employs his morality' he dies. 'He is 40, his wife is a bitch and... has soured his relationship with his duaghter...' 'Sometimes Life punishes you for doing the right thing' and if he'd had fucked the virgin, 'he'd be alive'.. But it is alright 'becuase he knows he's prepared his daughter for thr world'

If you clip that out of context, you could think Nick is talking about himself ans following this as a prescription for life!

Haven’t seen the movie but get the idea enough from Nick going on about it & from comments here but haven’t been able to puzzle out why exactly Nick is so enamored with this film.

Nick saying the movie didn’t clarify if the girl is 17 or 18 is giving vibes of when people say “well ackshully, Epstein wasn’t a pedophile, he’s an ephebophile…”
Whatever, the Lester character is still trying to screw a teenage girl in high school, the legal or technical age distinction isn’t really the point here. Dude in the movie was a loser who deserved a bullet either way.

Nick is trying to make like Lester was some hero or martyr because he died after not molesting a teenager? Saying in the end Lester did the “right” thing & Nick puts air quotes on “right”, like if only Lester didn’t take the prude route he would have lived, tragic.

Nick painting Lester as the good guy because he had a shrew wife & lusted after a teenaged friend of his daughter but didn’t go through with any sex is similar to when Vito tweeted something about how society should accept “non-offending” (sure, bud) pedos.
It really does seem like Nick sees himself as a version of Lester & if so, what the hell.

@Balldo's Gate

Sorry video isn’t playing for you. Idk site’s been acting janky lately. This is what Nick says in the video:

Nick tells Dick they have a nanny they hired to help with the driving because the kids schedules are so hectic. Sometimes when she is in town waiting on a kid to finish an activity she goes to Walmart & buys food. She wasn’t hired for that, but that’s what she does. Everything she buys is just “bullshit”, Nick can’t cook any of it. It’s all just sugary treats & other snacks. Nick wonders “why does she shop like this? Is this what goes wrong with people’s lives? Is this why people are fat?” Nick tells Dick he is going to send him the amount that is spent on snacks for his family every month. He doesn’t want to say the amount aloud & he doesn’t remember that he already told it in the clip with Sean. ($3,300, up from the previous 2k per mo.)
Dick flips out over the amount when he sees it. Dick wonders how that much is spent. Nick does not know. He’s completely mystified but notes that the amount now spent on snacks is more than the food budget was back when he was cooking every day. (Unclear when that was but implies he now doesn’t cook. As was said upthread, its been 2k on snacks for a long time)
Nick & Dick continue to marvel until Nick admits he should maybe have a word with the nanny & ask her how she spends so much or tell her to not do that because shopping isn’t even her job. Nick says he has never before questioned her on why so much is spent on snacks nor has he asked her not to shop. She brings him the receipts & he gives her the money, says nothing, then ponders it in his mind & seethes over it (& talks about it on video) but thus far he’s not spoken to her directly. Dick suggests he should accept the receipts & then go yell in another room loud enough for the nanny to hear & then she will catch on to not spend so much or not to shop like that etc.
Nick has a better idea, he is going to hang all his guns on the wall. Ordered from biggest to smallest…. He doesn’t get to finish how this would send the appropriate message or how the nanny would intuitively know what he means because Dick cuts him off with something stupid & Nick looses his train of thought & they move off the topic. The gun thing was weird though, because yeah its obviously a joke, but intimidating people with a weapon is an actual crime & that aside, what a little bitch he is that he can’t have a normal conversation with a woman he employs & instead must plot with Dick on a livestream.

*and a 1/2”. Never forgot the 1/2”
- Nick talks about the nanny bringing him the Walmart receipts. Implying that the nanny is fronting the cost of these 3.3k monthly expenses from her own pocket and likely subsistence wages. Then at the mercy of good ole reliable Nick to ever hope she gets repaid in a reasonable time frame
Tbf, if I hand somebody my card I make sure to get a receipt back

And he didn't learn from the high school kill list thing? Dude is legit losing his mind.

Comes to show all libertarians are pedophiles.
Unironically, that matches my experience with multiple Lolberts and Anarchists
...
I know he's a libertine, not a libertarian, but since he insists on calling himself one I'd like to point out that a component of more than one libertarian argument is the idea that societal shaming and ostracization can prevent bad behaviors, for instance legalizing all drugs not leading to an outbreak necessarily of crackheads due to the poor perception of people who use crack in society. There's no argument in libertarianism that you shouldn't have the freedom, the right to mock, humiliate, deride, or otherwise negatively speak of people and actions you find distasteful.
I've pointed it out before but anybody who calls themself a "libertarian" or even an "anarchist" arguing in any way shape or form for pedophilia/pedophilic behavior is coming out of the closet as a libertine.
Wikipedia said:
A libertine is a person devoid of most moral principles, a sense of responsibility, or sexual restraints, which they see as unnecessary or undesirable, and is especially someone who ignores or even spurns accepted morals and forms of behaviour observed by the larger society.[1][2] The values and practices of libertines are known collectively as libertinism or libertinage and are described as an extreme form of hedonism.[3] Libertines put value on physical pleasures, meaning those experienced through the senses. As a philosophy, libertinism gained new-found adherents in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, particularly in France and Great Britain. Notable among these were John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester, and the Marquis de Sade.

Actual libertarians don't condone pedophilia for the same reason we don't condone rape, or rapists. You know, because in reality "pedophile" is just a word for "child rapist".

Nick you fucking retard and little bitch. Maybe call up a real man like Drexel to tell that babysitter bitch off because you’re so much of a pussy you can’t say “Hey can you not spend $3000 a month on snack? What are you trying to fuck the nanny or something and are too afraid you upset her? Jesus Christ be a man Balldo man! Next time before you confront her take a few swigs of liquid courage! Bottoms up Nick!

What is the source for this? I'd like to cite it in the new OP.
The artist is Bill Mack. The post below is what I found when I was looking for the particular stream he mentioned it in. I have only watched 3 of his streams so it’s pretty easy to narrow down who was on with him. If anyone wants to dig thru the archives it was most likely That Umbrella Guy. In case I’m mistaken it could also be YellowFlash, and this was around the time the new Modern Warfare II was released because I remember playing it while watching. Just checked my PS trophy list and it was between 10/26/2022 and 11/10/2022 2:23 am Central.
The artist that he paid $80k for that Johnny Depp painting was Bill Mack. In case anyone wants to dig thru his bullshit to find the stream where he is bragging about wasting that much on something that worthless. It was during his spat with Keffals, he mentions the commission in one of the streams during his banishment.

That may be so, but these people more often than not self-identify as "libertarian" and rarely, if ever, "libertine."

Like I said, I don't automatically assume all self-declared libertarians turn out like this, I understand that's probably unfair.

But god damn, a lot of them do. Thanks to that, I would be loathe in this day and age to identify as "libertarian" even if I agree with the philosophy in some respects and under certain circumstances.

It really does seem like Nick sees himself as a version of Lester & if so, what the hell.

The film was originally inspired by the "Amy Fisher/Joey Buttafuoco" case. A body shop owner (Buttafuoco) molested an underage girl who then shot his wife in the head out of "love" for Joey. The screenwriter thought Joey Buttafuoco was misunderstood by society.

The writer (Alan Ball) is very gay. So in the course of developing the script, the events of the story changed around and became really gay. "Ricky" is a self-insert for Ball's young gay self. The marine colonel is a insert of Ball's closeted gay father.

My interpretation of the film was that the message of the film was that gay men not aware of or accepting of that they are gay will molest young girls or kill people. And that Lester was supposed to be gay but not full accepting of the fact that he was gay as expressed by him not molesting the girl but also rejecting sex with the guy.

But the overall construction of the film and its story is so incoherent that over the years people have been able to find just about any meaning they want in the film. Lester is either a heroic version of Joey Buttafuoco or he is a gay guy struggling & failing to accept himself.

Based on Nick's behavior, I would guess in his case its more empathy with the middle-aged confused gay guy struggling to accept himself.

His favorite movie is American Beauty.... HOLY SHIT HE'S SUCH A CREEPY, GROSS OLD PERVERT
It's funny every time someone new realizes this. Hey @Himedall All-seeing Waifu it might be necessary to add American Beauty into the OP as optional reading. It comes up enough and the parallels to Nick are so strong it's hard to justify leaving it out.

Consider this: Nick has literally gone past being Lester in unlikeable degeneracy. And at least Lester was funny sometimes.

You're not wrong.

I always interpreted it as a cautionary tale about a man who went through a destructive mid life crisis, hurting his loved ones, only to discover at the very end how he didn't sufficiently appreciate his family and everything he had. I base that on the scene where he looks at a photograph of his family and smiles. Then he gets shot and killed.

My interpretation might not be shared by others. I might have taken from that movie what I wanted to see.

In any event, until Nick, I never met anybody who felt Lester's behavior was cool, or should be emulated.

It's fucking weird and creepy to me.

I think it boils down to Nick hating fat people. So being thin is virtuous and being thinner is even better.

Before his heel turn, Nick used to refer to himself as a reformed fatphobe, claiming he used to have a pathological hatred for the overweight but has made peace with it in present day.
The way he used to tell that story was self-aggrandizing and queer too though. It was something along the lines of "GUYS GUYS I got PAID to fatshame this bitch at wells fargo for a whole year!" I don't think it was even about the alleged fat itself and more of a vehicle for a jujuesque bit where he could frame himself as this cool edgy dudebro putting some dumpy suburban slag in her place (which she totally for real loved and asked him to do!) because he was pandering to the daxipad audience even back then.

That whole fixation seems like his critical theory loving English major side bleeding into his midlife crisis. Through that type of "lens" it's a modern adaptation of some ancient Greek tragedy (probably Agamemnon by Aeschylus with some hints of Icarus thrown in) that resonates more deeply with him as a Midwesterner who resents having to work and being tied down by societal/familial obligations. Bucking against the chains of middle aged suburban ennui even at the cost of one's life is an act of heroism to that specific type of weak, insecure modern man who feels emasculated by everyone around them on a daily basis. The ending is also reinterpreted as selfless because in chasing his own passions off a cliff he allows his daughter to successfully leave the nest so it was totally a good thing.

It's the kitschy navel-gazing Hollywood equivalent of those overpriced paintings he buys.

Hearing him talk about the people at church inviting him into the under-50 parents’ group for some support and fellowship was much more illuminating for me than reading everyone’s recaps.

It sounds to me like Nick is bringing a lot of drama into Kayla’s life with his online antics. They only go to that church because it’s important to her and she and the children have a solid social circle there. And here’s her husband — who can’t even pretend he’s there by choice — shit-talking them every time he streams.

We can take it as confirmed that whenever Nick talks about how he’s always “simped” for Kayla, even when she was a massive whale during pregnancy (“I loved that woman at 105 pounds and I still loved her at 110 pounds!”), it’s because he knows she hears all about his streams from her church friends and probably also family.

Nick thinks he’s fucking slick: All he has to do is tell people he’s a great husband and church friends will go “Oh wow, that changes everything” and tell Kayla how wrong they were about her drunk asshole husband whose life revolves around “exploring” deviant sexual behaviors online and drinking till 5AM every night while engaging with women who aren’t Kayla.

I’m pretty sure Kayla is fed up with Nick’s refusal to grow the fuck up and act like an adult instead of a rebellious high schooler who thinks drinking heavily on a daily basis and railing against the people in his family’s social circle is some kind of badass way to live. If he wants to alienate everyone, that’s one thing — but it affects his wife and children, too.

Nick doesn’t give a fuck about his family. All that matters to him is standing in defiance and doing whatever people suggest might not be the best idea. If his wife and kids lose their friends and support system, so be it.

He is such a piece of shit.

If Kayla doesn't want this affecting her life, then she shouldn't be going to winger resorts and gay bars with her husband "I am always honest" Nick. There are also two others outside of the marriage that implicate Kayla wanting to swing, once with Drexel tripped over his words and implicated Nick and Kayla, and again in the leaked Faran DM where it sounds like Nick confided in Faran that Kayla wanted to swing. Then there's her behavior on Locals which included her requesting permission from Nick to send them nudes/lewds and the open flirting with Branca on the November 2022 election night stream and she also planned the Gay90's birthday party for Nick and the subsequent glow party event.

There is plenty of evidence to show that Kayla brought a lot of this on herself too and trusting her alcoholic streamer husband to keep a secret is dumb. If Kayla doesn't want this crap in her life, recommend that she not do it in the first place. Anyone who requires hindsight to understand this deserves what they get. It wasn't all Nick's degeneracy and Kayla's own words and actions online helped to put her in this position.

The big bad ol' Internet and Nick weren't the only things keeping Kayla from having real fellowship at her church, and since they are "deprogramming" their kids afterward anyways, it begs the question of why/if this is actually important to Kayla at all. Kayla needs to sort her priorities out, have a very serious conversation with Nick, and learn some self-control for the sake of her kids.

What is the source for this? I'd like to cite it ij the new OP.

This might help.

What the fuck is wrong with you Nick? Just tell the nanny to stop buying bullshit, it's your money. What's the point of making a whole song and dance about it? Actually don't tell her to stop. She's earned the right to spend your money if this is what you have to do
