Yeah, it does feel tuned down a bit more than maybe necessary but Non-Lethal feels way more viable, which in turn helps with your officers’ mental health, which is nice. I just wish it was more like that in base, at least certain types of enemies should be more or less resilient to surrender. I’d understand a crack addict being so out of it they don’t care anymore, but an illegal crypto mine guard probably wouldn’t risk his life in an altercation with the police, especially for a furfag streamer.I use "No Crack for AI", it probably makes the suspect AI a bit too easy but I rather have them be too easy than too hard. There's a few others on Nexus that are probably worth a try too
Devs have said that they are focusing on hotfixes, so hopefully AI will be better soon enough, question is if the Hotfix will be out before or after ChristmasYeah, it does feel tuned down a bit more than maybe necessary but Non-Lethal feels way more viable, which in turn helps with your officers’ mental health, which is nice. Is it ever possible to get S ranks with just lethal weapons? AFAIK you can only do that without killing, which means only using non-lethal weapons.I still want S rank anyways just for the achievements, having a cosmetic is just a plus
You need perfect score to get a S rank, which means you can't have any suspects be knocked out, they have to surrender. Also can't have any civvies get knocked out either. Its bullshit that a suspect being knocked out is worth the same points as dead, yet it still counts as arresting them.Is it ever possible to get S ranks with just lethal weapons? if you want to cheese it, download a AI mod so the suspects are a more likely to give up, wear heavy armor and a ballistic mask, and bring the BeanBag shotgun. Tell your AI to wait at the entrance to the level and clear it yourself, this will prevent them from lighting up a suspect who fake surrenders. Bring door wedges too. You will probably Die a lot and undoubtly the Suspects will accidentally kill a civvie or catch a Beanbag directly to the dome and die a few times, but you'll get a S rank eventually. At least that's how I got 2 S ranks.Ides of March is fucking ridiculous, holy shit. The AI and lack of a restart button in single player completely turned me off this game. Removing different mission scenarios was retarded too. Desperately needs a fix soon.
Ah the good old days.At least we got pretty far. Remember this?

I miss the old Cherryessa Farm. It had no story attached to it at the time beyond "they shot a cop," and the place was loaded with a lot of dudes with rifles, SMGs and heavy armor, so I ended up creating my own story in my mind that we were raiding a small commune of sovereign citizens who shot a cop because they don't abide by the rule of tyrants.Ah the good old days.
I miss that hotel map
Basically, you have to arrest them instead of killing, which is ridiculous because everyone in the game, from idiot thieves to crack addicts, are so fucking trigger happy and they never listen to you yelling at them. They’re also irritatingly resistant to non lethal weapons, and even when you get them down they still have a chance to jump up at you. I get they want to make it somewhat intense, but they should be doing it without risking the fun of it. The mod that Serbian Peacekeepers suggests works well, and it might make it easier but it also makes it more enjoyable of an experience. Is it ever possible to get S ranks with just lethal weapons? The church is really weird and kinda crosses a line into "Lovecraft" that I don't like, it feels overtly supernatural and I dislike it. I like the whole Feminist cult thing if only because It lets me shoot annoying women with high power rifles and it be totally legal, but the map seems rather disconnected from the briefing.Neo-Cherryessa is okay. The radical feminist angle was believable at first, but then I found their church and found some massive effigy made of roots and vines and found myself completely drained of immersion. That's the sort of thing you'd find in a fantasy game like Resident Evil, not something that you'd expect to find out in the real world.
Honestly, it felt like they wanted to replicate that Child burrying cult, which you meet in SWAT4, but somewhere down the line one of the devs played Outlast 2 and went "Duuuudeee! Lete combine these two together!"The church is really weird and kinda crosses a line into "Lovecraft" that I don't like, it feels overtly supernatural and I dislike it. (There is no dead cop in the driveway, you do not find and rescue the other officer, despite that being the entire reason you are at the location.)
Honestly shocked there was only the 3 graves and the giant pile of clothes in the cellarHonestly, it felt like they wanted to replicate that Child burrying cult, which you meet in SWAT4, but somewhere down the line one of the devs played Outlast 2 and went "Duuuudeee! Are these devs /pol/sters?it feels overtly supernatural
I mean, I think that should have been a given, since when this game was in EA format, it still reeked of this SUPER edgy shit. Which made these guys seem like they really tried to see who could make the most fucked up shit.It is so ironic the game punishes you at every step of the way for killing suspects, while the AI makes non-lethal approach incredibly frustrating, or borderline impossible.
Are these devs /pol/sters?
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are willing to cover controversial topics, like pedo rings and cults, but they really went overboard with the edginess. The ridicolousness completely backfires and opens up an opportunity for apologists to lambast and downplay these issues. They should have handled these subjects far more tastefully.
Sure it was there from the get go, but I was just hoping they would refine it. I liked those little hints, here and there, which indicated that the various criminal groups are tangentially related. Unfortunately, lorefaggots latched onto "MUH environmental storytelling", which probably prompted the devs to go full retard.I mean, I think that should have been a given, since when this game was in EA format, it still reeked of this SUPER edgy shit. Yeah, they had a lot of props with placeholder textures that all contained jokes like these:I think that should have been a given, since when this game was in EA format, it still reeked of this SUPER edgy shit.
The game is basically Grimdark America, everything bad that could happen does happen and your entire job is fruitlessly fighting against the rot. It would be a haunting concept if everything in LS wasn't the result of 5 whole factions. Are these devs /pol/sters?

Half this shit seems like it should be in a GTA mod or well...a Postal game. Def not a game that tries to be all supah cerial.Yeah, they had a lot of props with placeholder textures that all contained jokes like these:

I tried to find screenshots of some other ones, but they were similarly edgy or referenced edgy topics. There was also of course the nut room in that early hotel prototype. Those were certainly funny, but it contradicted the developer's message. According to them, the game was an exploration of difficulties in law enforcement in the USA, much like how SWAT 4 was. You can't really have that and, at the same time, have props with joke labels like "Jizz" spray cans or whatever it was again. They can't seem to decide.
I have not played more of the game beyond the second level, but, from what I am reading here, it sounds like they still cannot get their shit straight. Very disappointing. I was hoping for a proper SWAT 4 successor.
When Judge Dredd sells this concept better, you know you fucked up.The game is basically Grimdark America, everything bad that could happen does happen and your entire job is fruitlessly fighting against the rot. I also miss the MLO.
