Lily in her MLP phase liked to take tv tropes pages and read them out without credit for her in a minute videos. People have pointed this out as early as 2017 and her early Glass of Waters which wore her Sterling and MovieBob ripping off on their sleeves.

She only took them down to avoid a headache. Devil probably has it all saved but at this point Lily knows what she did wrong and was embarrassed into shaping up. Good enough for me.
2024 will be a rebuilding year for our girl. Future proofing her channel this way she will build it back up from zero. Unfortunately her name is still poison in any space on the internet and will have a tough time ahead of her.

Speaking of Devil I watched the most recent streams on his Dailymotion channel, and...nothing. Fuck. Nothing. Happens. They just play Botw and fawn over Zelda. Lily is angry we never get to play as Zelda or a girl, she refuses to play Tears of the Kingdom because we can't, even though Zelda is busy being a dragon in that one. I guess Metroid is just chopped liver over here.
The only interesting part was in the second stream where they are still angry about Ink Rose.

That's...very optimistic, and relies on that Peet can stop fucking around, and actually gather skills to salvage the channel like Trend following, marketing, selecting a niche, standing out, making something doesn't run on the cocktails from someone else, apologizing to people, rebuild bridges, create a network that isn't fucking "me, me, and only me.", etc.
All effort that Peet is too fucking lazy, and/or doesn't care enough to learn because the audience the asshole has been taken for granted. It's only till the Patreon, and the ads stop being sustainable when you'll see actual cracks over the facade that has been built around Peet's image both on YT, and Tumblr.
I'm betting 2024 is when every single chicken finally comes back to roost upon Peet's house.

For the curious, this is the initial proposal. Let's have a look here...
So humans had enough time from present-day Earth to figure out star travel, build colony ships, and somehow locate four Earth-like planets within possible travel distance, yet in the time it would take them to exhaust the resources of entire planets human curiosity died, nobody decided to search for other planets, and they all collapsed at pretty much the exact same time.
For the curious, our present-day scientists have directly identified sixteen planets in the 'Goldilocks zone' of their respective stars and speculate there could be 50 million or more in a place that would be theoretically habitable to humans. It's difficult to imagine that in the hundreds of years it would take for humans to reach this point we wouldn't be able to find more planets.
One of Lily's later responses states that when humans left Earth there were three billion people, but when space-society collapses there are only fifty-million left. Across four habitable worlds plus seven long-term mining colonies. I don't think Lily understands numbers.
Not entirely out of the question, but one wonders how they manage to be nomads when resources are so scarce. It's not like they can live off the land. I don't think spacefaring is really a viable option at this juncture, especially when Lily will also clarify that these ships are generally manned by pairs of people. Where are they getting their resources? Their food? She goes on to mention that one of the ships has a hydroponics bay, which begs the question of how large these two-person ships are. They seem to use a lot of resources for very small groups
'To settle alone', in these tiny family units. You know what's necessary for procreation at that point, riiiiiight?
To summarize, the Tortoise is the 'sapphic romance' ship piloted by two black lesbians. The Big Sister is the 'found family co-parenting' ship, where a brother and sister duo wind up adopting a child together.

This doesn't even make sense logistically. Why would 'less scientifically minded' colonies be inclined toward this kind of arrangement? It also seems weird to say that the nuclear family no longer exists 'as a concept' yet you still have two parents raising kids. The dynamics might be kind of fucked up but that's still a nuclear family, you aren't doing things like having only single parents or communally-raised kids.
Final Note:
I don't understand why she felt the need to have a really dumb apocalypse to catalyze this idea. You could just have 'humans have entered a space-faring age' and you can still have your lesbians and your definitely-not-incest ships. Since those family dynamics are what she's interested in the rest of the idea seems fundamentally pointless, especially since the difference between 3 billion humans and 50 million, across the expanse of the Milky Way, is entirely negligible. Those are still infinitesimal numbers compared to the vastness of space.
Why the backstory? Why not just 'humans are exploring space'? She says elsewhere that the 'theme' is supposed to be 'hope even in the face of terrible circumstances' but, like... unless there's an active war or something those circumstances don't MEAN anything. And apparently the collapse happened hundreds of years ago so it matters even less? Why not just have fun space adventures in space? Why this need to have a disaster?
I don't understand what she's doing. I doubt she does, either.

Best case scenario is she's writing it this way because that's just what she thinks she's supposed to write about. Like she thinks she needs an apocalypse to have happened in order to justify this spacefaring and low population numbers to justify the sapphic ship and incest ship. Like for someone who hates world building and lore (it shows) this is a lot of thought when her preferences for episodic stories would have sufficed. Like, it's just space adventures. That's all it has to be. There's two human ships. Humans explore space. This is what happens.

But really, Lily opened up a 'wordbuilding workshop' for a shitty idea and is upset that people who actually care about the genre are asking pertinent questions. If she'd just said 'humanity is exploring the stars, here are their stories' and left it at that you could appeal to suspension of disbelief/science fantasy logic and people won't be asking about artificial gravity or FTL drives.
Again she appeals to 'I write fluffy family-oriented hopeful stuff!' (and please point me to a story where she's actually written cute fluff, 'cuz I'm drawing a blank) but she was the one who put forward 'environmental apocalypse followed by more environmental apocalypses and near decimation of humanity and everybody I arbitrarily hate is dead'. If you didn't want people asking questions then don't make a scenario that warrants those questions.
Yeah, now that I think about this even more, this doesn't make sense? If humanity was decimated to this degree then most people would be huddling together to maximize survival. Access to spaceships should be highly limited, and homosexual relationships largely frowned upon because they result in unions that terminate genetic diversity. The lesbians should be fleeing genetic marriages, not star-hopping for shits and giggles.
If she'd gone with 'a thousand years from now humans are a space-faring species exploring the corners of the Milky Way' then you lose nothing and gain all kinds of freedom. What other fun advancements might have been made? What kind of kooky settlements are out there in the stars? Are human terraforming planets? As it is she's set up four habitable planets, which humans proceeded to destroy, but there are somehow huge scatterings of tiny settlements? On what planets? She also mentions space stations so humans just made a bunch space stations even though they didn't bother looking for other habitable planets?
What's really baffling me is that, generally speaking, Lily gives these stupid convoluted backstories to justify why her characters are the biggest badasses in the room. Do you need to know all that crap about Aliana's ship's weapons or the lightsaber forms she uses? No, but it establishes that she has THE COOLEST SHIP and is THE BEST WARRIOR. Do you need to know Anevay's equipment loadout or skill point distribution? No, but it establishes she has THE COOLEST STUFF and THE MOST AWESOME PET and is THE BEST WARRIOR EVER. Does Lily's backstory in Madhouse mean anything? No, but she was A FEARED ENFORCER and one of THE MOST SKILLED TRAINER and Gardevoir is THE MOST POWERFUL POKEMON and G herslef is THE SPECIALEST GARDEVOIR.
Here, it's like... does this backstory mean anything? Does it impact anything? Because it sounds exactly like Generic Space Show. One ship is exploring the stars in a distant, uninhabited part of the galaxy, the other is jumping between stations and settlements. It sounds like Star Trek (and she compared them to Voyager and TNG, respectively), which didn't feel a need to decimate humanity. It just said 'space is cool, let's explore space' and off we go. The characters aren't rebels from the old days or enforcers or space wizards, they just exist and they don't even care that things used to be different. The background isn't even self-serving, I just don't get it.

She's rewriting Steven Universe
in that show, the aesthetics of a lost Gem empire were a big part of the show
so she's copying the feel of a big empire that decayed and the people that are left are surviving in the "wilderness" and meeting new people and things and concepts etc
of course, it's a complete inversion. instead of colonizing aliens coming to earth, it's colonizing humans in outer space. but everything else checks out. lesbians? got them. found family raising a child? yeah. being about love and surviving trauma and shit? yes
but i have to disagree with you, duine. the backstory is necessary, for two reasons 1. it estabilishes that the scavengers are alone and there isnt a big empire to help them 2. there are stories of decadence, of grandiosity in times past. im not good at explaining it, read this tumblr post to have an idea
maybe im giving lily too much credit, but the story seems to be about survivors, surviving the human apocalypse, surviving everything that gets thrown their way.
of course, this is lily orchard, so its going to fuuuuuuucking suck. she pays no attention to worldbuilding when creating a fucking sci-fi story, focus way too much on fluff on detriment of everything else and the character sheets look like fucking amazon descriptions on products. how the fuck is "storytelling" a skill? you're really saying that other characters can't fucking tell stories? only this one?
lily i know you read the farms so im going to give you two recommendations to check out
1st one is a manga called Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. it's about the earth quietly dying, while the survivors live in a cozy apocalypse. everything is full of plants and people are calm and friendly. there's even girl robots that kiss!
2nd is the backstory to iron lung. no need to pay attention to the gameplay but notice how the backstory is vague. something wiped out all the habitable planets and humans that weren't in space stations, and it resulted in many conflicts between the survivors and a mad dash for resources. you could get the same basis but go in a wildly different direction, of people uniting and trying their best to survive. it's an interesting backstory that leaves a lot to the imagination, while giving a reason for humans to spread and try their best against overwhelming odds
anyway, interested in seeing how this develops, though i think that nothing will come of it
