So an episode of Comedy Central's Ren & Stimpy reboot got leaked and it is literally “What if Stimpy got an iPhone?” It's like an episode of Tiny Toons wearing Ren & Stimpy like skinsuits, very generic and homogenized.

Considering that Comedy Central are some of the cheapest folks around, I suppose at least it didn't end up looking like Brickleberry.

I know it's getting old to say "howdy do fellow kids." But that is litterally all these new shows give me. Old people desperate to climb to their adolescence by trying to be "kids at heart.'' As I said there's a right way to do that and a wrong way. When done right we get a work like the wimpy kid books, or James Pattersons kids books, or really anything Roald Dahl wrote in his life. When done wrong we get cringe like looniversity and stimpy with an iphone.

R&S was gross and disturbing to me when I was younger (and still is now), during the days of SNICK and that orange couch. The best part of the show was the ending credits.

I fucking hate smartphones and I just wish they'd stay the hell out of culture. It's a great way to date everything and they're generally a good signifier of decline.
I could get into how they're a literal symbol of decline with apple fucking over the phone market but that's another topic.

I find it pretty funny and also grating that they changed/retconned the main characters AND her moms natural hair texture because she wasnt black enough for the sjws.
Its even curlier in her new form with longer hair.

Was she just straightenig her hair everyday while trapped in a whole other world? Did this spunky child have a perm for some reason? Who knows

That's kinda the point. It's part of why the show was popular to begin with, and considering what has come out about John K and the interviews and commentaries he's given, it's no wonder why the series as a whole is fucked up. You either like it or you don't. It's not for everyone.

I'm just still fucking salty about the way the DVDs were handled. Uncut & Uncensored my fucking nutsack, more like butchered to fucking hell and back thanks to MTV.

Kinda poetic in that they took what was originally a sweet kid who was a little weird and by tge shows end turned into a retarded rug munched complete with pride pins, studid hat and wasting her education on a useless degree (bi history) but like Kim boggs wanted Edward sissorhands to remember her how she was not what she'd become....I orefer to remember luz as the quirky but weird kid trapped in a strange land....you know its funny...



Daily wire and other conservatives have started making their own animation to rival Disney and its wokeness...why would they rip off stiff like bluey with chip chilla or whatever the Tuttle twins (shows I think deserve discussions here if they're not in the daily wire plus board already) are ripping off? Bleuys already a harmless family safe show. Really its the non parent Fandom parents have to be careful of. Why not make your own version of owl house with straight leads? Or something like that?

The best way for adults to reconnect with what it was like to be a kid is to have kids themselves. once you do, it brings back alot of childhood memories, as well as gives you the outside looking in on the childhood experience.

Sadly, most show runners these days are non reproductive. either full on homo/gender queer, or else spinster box wine bitches with fur babies instead of actual babies.

This is probably a big factor in why bluey is seen as a distant first place in kids media today - it's actually written by a man with a child, not a manchild.

As a kid who was lucky to have satellite TV to watch Nicktoons Network back in the day, I didn't become a fan of the show until it first started to premiere back on that channel for reruns in 2005 (exactly the same time as when its old company that created it Spumco went dormant, not kidding).

I think the gross aesthetic the show had to offer was tolerable, but it's the verbal humor that makes up for the uncomfortable moments. At first, I didn't even like the Spumco-era episodes and was more into Games-era, but as time went along, I considered the Spumco-era episodes to be iconic, even though creator John K. has always been seen as such a hellish person to deal with, and I kinda viewed this as his one-hit wonder while other projects he's made was hot garbo, especially APC. But yes, he is a sick fuck who may be good at drawing and animating, but is also a fucking child grooming psycho that needs to be locked up.

Saw The Iron Giant in a theater for the first time last night. Last time I saw it in full was a little over a decade ago. Going to sound a bit like a soyboy here, but it was a religious experience. The movie still holds up tremendously, as evidenced by the kinda-packed theater genuinely laughing at the jokes, and the animation hits a lot different when seen on the big screen. Also I noticed that, much like Cats Don't Dance, the pacing is perfect. 10 out of 10

Bingo. If owl house had been made In a non clown world boiling isles history would have been a pun that HINTED at that sort of thing and thats it. But no danna and Alex went batshit insane after gravity falls and had to be as blatant about that sorta thing even when the mouse specifically told them it wasn't gonna save them from tanking ratings.
