I really don't think the purpose of radical feminism is to sigh that women are weak eternal victims and the only way out is to "join the other team" and become the oppressor instead of the oppressed. More accurate to say men systematically devalue women as weak, vulnerable, unskilled labor, a follower not a leader, valued more highly for her looks than for what she does, and always a potential victim for a man's violence (sexual or otherwise..) The radical feminist solution to this paradigm isn't to give up the ship, it's to redefine masculinity and femininity so that biological sex is no longer a self-fulfilling prophecy enforced by rigid gender norms. Radfems also endorse political lesbianism, which is when women socially boycott men in protest of the foul things they believe and do.

And tbh the sexual assault does happen really often, I don't think that's the only reason pooners poon out, but I suspect a substantial chunk of them have experienced some kind of violation early on that makes them hate their breasts and other maturing parts of the body, as they see these as the reason men are being creeps to them now. I've read that women who were sexually assaulted in childhood sometimes intentionally gain a lot of weight, surrounding themselves with food and their own flesh in the belief that it'll protect them from a future violation. The pooners think that if they make themselves more like men, the creeps will leave them alone.

I also think that some number of pooners actually "legitimately" (as legitimate as cross-sex hormones get) want to get on testosterone for the non-gendered benefits. Testosterone has proven benefits for both sexes (as well as some major downsides, but those are more long-term) like anti-depressant effects, increased muscle, and greater energy as well as some that are more subjective like weight loss, lower voice, and increased libido. Men get sold on testosterone supplements for these exact same reasons.

I don't think that there's much of an equivalent for males and estrogen other than acne prevention (and various unproven tranny rumors about how "estrogen is magic").

So these women decide that they want to try testosterone and one of two things draw them to identify as transsexual. 1) They lie in order to get access to a controlled substance hat they would otherwise have no shot at 2) they get convinced that the desire to try testosterone itself proves that they're trans. I suspect that 2 happens far more often than 1.

Meh. I don't think there are that many women who want to become more muscular and jacked up, a lot of women who go to the gym want to have elbows bigger than their biceps. If you're a straight woman buying into what men want, then you want to be weak so that men will feel stronger for having helped you (open a jar, reach something off a high shelf, etc.) Men like their women weak and small.

There's the unconscious assumption that surgery is plug-and-play, and I don't know if that's a modern thing, a young person thing, or a listened-to-too-much-trans-propaganda thing.

I say "modern" because before the mid-2010s, there wasn't this intense focus on genital surgery for pooners. They were still highly motivated to get their tits off, and phalloplasties were known, but the consensus was that they weren't worth it; a functional vagina with clitoral hypertrophy was better than a numb and infected surgical site that wasn't going to feel or perform like a penis.

The technology hasn't advanced but somehow its reputation has, and the fact that it's a ticket to debt and urinary tract infections and permanent debility is just... overlooked. It's amazing.

To be fair, that’s not a troon thing. Or a farms thing. It’s a common assumption in the general public: That the road to transition has an end point that is GRS.

I don’t remember where I saw this study, but only about 20% of male troons have had surgery done, and less than half are considering it. BUT… Something like 70 or 80% of the general public thought they all had it done or were aiming for it.

(If you talk to regular folks about trannies, it’s also obvious that they think they’re all either want it/are waiting or already had it or are on a waiting list.)

I think it’s partly a cope in the general public. The thought of having a population of “women” with penises and “men” with vaginas running around is just too horrifying/absurd to ponder.
