Phil is a 40-year-old man who by all accounts was handed multiple opportunities to achieve success by conventional (i.e. a traditional office job) and unconventional (i.e. YouTube, Twitch, etc.) means and he's arguably done so via the latter. Yet, he is starkly different from most other successful content creators, er, sorry, curator. Phil was on top of the YouTube world at one point. He could have leveraged his early mover advantage to catapult him to success but this opportunity quickly faded. Phil could also have joined with other creators to produce something successful and combined fanbases, but he's largely irrelevant now so that opportunity has passed, too. He is also utterly shameless and harmless and this is why I find laughing at Phil's antics easier than, say, some tranny that is out there causing problems for more than just themselves.
Phil is the lolcow to laugh at when you're simply not in the mood to dig into heavier stuff and he serves that purpose well. Look, I could laugh at Rekeita but the reality is the guy is self-destructing and he has a family. Ralph is physically killing himself, too, and it would be crazy to argue that such behaviors won't have a negative, perhaps temporary, impact on his children. CRP is another great example. Phil is one of the lolcows you can absolutely laugh at and it's both not punching down and whose antics are totally inconsequential (unlike someone like Elliot Fong). Realistically, a board dedicated to Philis probably not justifiable based on his popularity. Rather, keeping the board is the lesser of the two evils vs. threads about his bankruptcy, BG3 play though, Derich, etc. littering the rest of the website.
