I guess they don't teach the cold war in france but the domino theory means it would be within any other power's interests to coup or terrorize any of the EU countries once the US stops putting its finger on the scale against all the chaos.

i mean he was a graduate of west point and had combat experience as an officer. he wasn't Joan of Arc. as for tactics, he was just the only union general that didn't worry about casualties, everyone knew a war would be a bloodbath and a big reason for them firing so many generals in the union was because most were their version of blue checkmark libs so they got too shell shocked from the chaos of war. Grant was the only one willing to tolerate that sort of bloodshed, which is ironic because he also was notoriously sick of blood and spent most of his days and nights crying because of the bloodshed from his first experience of war.

From what people have said in this very thread, almost every time they pulled that shit in the middle east, asia, or latin america the oligarchs would act like the boyfriend in a rom com and go overboard trying to win back the US, and coup the people that got them in this mess. Unfortunately Russians considered themselves russians instead of rootless cosmopolitans and between that and Ukrainians not following the plan either it fucked us hard. Like i said most of the time we give billions in cash and prizes and they do what we say, instead Ukrainians didn't wait to sell off everything and then go "give us money or we'll surrender to russia anyway, lol we don't give a fuck" Its like an amazing used car salesman having someone actually leave the lot when given the price, its never happened before so he ends up giving it to them for pennis on the dollar.
