If this was a anime, the plot would have hit already. Yeah the dead angel is kind of what's driving it... but it's so dull. We didn't even see the angel die! Just "here's the corpse, this lady killed her, no you don't even get a flashback.". I'm just asking for things to heat up. I'm just asking for a bit of action, please.
We'll surely see a flashback later, but the point for now is that while we know the "who", the "how" remains to be an intriguing mystery (though Helluva may have already spoiled it). I'd also like to add that it might be more dramatic to simply imagine how Carmilla saved her daughters from imminent death by an Exorcist instead of seeing whatever gets animated.
Just realized this show is sexist in the worst ways
Women are just trivial and shut up by men
Male sexual assault is treated either as a joke or fetish fuel.
I mean I DARE you to make that 'Poison' sequence with a female character instead of a twink. I fucking dare you.
Oh man, when I mentioned Poison appearing to be "sexy rape", I didn't even consider how it would come off with a female character instead. But then again, this just goes along with how laxed media is in general about violence against men compared to women, in which heroes can beat up and kill male villains in ways that simply won't fly when against female equivalents.
Some guy posted a thread of potential spoilers for the latter half of season 1. Take with a grain of salt as always, but at the same time, a couple of these aren't new and have been semi-confirmed...
As dismaying as it would be for Sir Pent to be done in, I can see it working out in a way that's beneficial to the overall story. Keep in mind that Sir Pent is essentially the hotel's first guest (nevermind Angel). Given his pathetic and unserious villainy, he's meant to be an easy proof of concept for the hotel, yet he continues to hang around because Charlie clearly has no idea what she's doing so far, and we're already halfway through the season. If Sir Pent does a heroic sacrifice, however, it could be that the selfless act is what redeems him and grants him entry to Heaven rather than double-death, thus concluding the season with proof that Charlie's redemption scheme actually can work.
But I don't have confidence in these potential spoilers being anything more than personal speculation and BS, pretty easy to come up with based on the solid things we do know so far about what's to come. In fact, to suggest that Sir Pent simply dies without mention of him going to Heaven is making me believe that this is most likely fake. I can see Alastor, as Viv's pet character, turning out to be super OP compared to all of his overlord peers, though, which is certainly lame. I'm liking Alastor generally, but it's nice to see when he can't simply walk all over everyone else, like when he quietly seethes when Carmilla refuses to stroke his ego.
