Naruto/Boruto Griefing Thread

Sasuke is a boring character all throughout and the rivalry should have been between Naruto and Rock Lee. Sasuke's leaving the village should have ended with Naruto plunging a kunai into his chest as the climax to their fight and him turning his back on Sasuke as he sank into the water. You could even have Sasuke reflect on it, he reaches out to Naruto to apolgise for what he did but all he sees is Naruto with his back turned and walking away from him, Naruto with tears in his eyes for dramatic effect. Then make something up about Orochi watching him and Naruto fighting to see Sasuke's new power in action and how he pulled him out the water to save him so he can be in shippuden.

Sasuke would work if he wasn’t the other protagonist. He’d be better as a side character to give perspective outside the village. The issue is that he never stops being used by someone. He’d be fine if he was actually being hunted and showing the lifestyle of someone who broke from the system. I’d like it if he were a way to explore the setting rather than bend the world into revolving around the Uchiha.

If Sasuke paralleled Zabuza and had a moment where he’s realizing he’s compromising his morals the series would’ve been better.

So I read the most recent chapter just to be up to date with my fellow nerds and the first thing I thought was has the art always been this bad? Like I get that it’s not the same person doing the drawing anymore but fuck it’s not good.

Gundam SEED Destiny had a problem where people made up a lot of outrageous "interviews" about behind-the-scenes stuff, like the director cheating on his wife with one of the voice actresses and that "the villains won in SEED Destiny". This was back when people were more willing to believe stuff without proof, so a lot of utter nonsense became accepted as fact for a long time before people were able to do some digging and find out the rumors were just rumors and nothing more.

Reading all this, I lost interest during the "Find Sasuke!" fillers and it looks like jumping off there was the right call. Wish I could be surprised.

I usually see shirts and stuff on 20~40ish, some kids and teens though.
Lots of those lenticular stickers where it's, like, a guy, his super mode, his ANBU outfit, or whatever.

Seen a couple of other cars in my area but not for Naruto.

Something that has always bothered me about Naruto's ending and Boruto is that Naruto doesn't have more kids with Hinata. I wish he had at least four or five with her, it's disappointing he only has two. Tell me that Naruto isn't the type that would have a huge family. Sasuke only having Sarada doesn't bother me because he's always away in the first place and after realizing the truth about his clan and the Sharingan probably figured only having one kid was the smart thing.

Also jesus christ some of you guys are being autistic over the series. Reading some of these posts I feel like I've been teleported to /a/ fifteen years ago.

See, rumors are one thing but that's not what happens here. What happens with Boruto is very different. Take for example, Naruto's Baryon Mode. In the manga, ch.6 says specifically Shikamaru found out about Kawaki's swap one chapter ago. People are still saying "Ch. 6 confirms Shikamaru knew about the swap all along!!!!" They're just straight up lying about things the manga specifically says. It's like their reading comprehension levels caps at out at grade school.

Yes, the Boruto art has always been bad. However, now that Boruto has a dozen necklaces and pendants and pins everywhere, it's gotten worse. All of Ikemoto's little time and slight talent is going to drawing Boruto's overdesigned outfit. Like I said it would back in chapter 1 of Two Blue Vortex's. (Still a stupid fucking name)

I have a feeling Boruto's constant "Dad's never around" complaints are probably what caused them to stop at 2. In reality, Boruto's a little fucking shit. Talk to any kid with busy parents and most would be thrilled to have a parent who can clone themselves. At least they can fucking be there via clone. It's not like Naruto doesn't remember or experience what the clone does. The day they spend together doesn't magically vanish just because the clone does. Boruto's a dick.

Kishimoto always kind of chased trends without an editor. The fact that every kid is the same age and literally no one had another kid is more him designing a one shot.

I’d actually liked a prequel more, but sequel not present in the Leaf village would of been cool.

Togashi and Kishi were on good terms last I checked and acknowledged the similarities of the early parts in their series. Can't remember where I got that from though. Some screencap interview on /a/ I think.

Togashi is an infinitely better writer but too handicapped and dedicated to draw a fast paced story. Kishi is much better for the job but he's too fucking sloppy.

Honestly the more time goes on, the more credit you have to give to Oda. I fucking HATE One Piece. His paneling is shit. But he manages to still deliver week after week for this long. He seems like the only person geared for this sort of format.

Kubo failed
Fujimoto is showing cracks here and there
Togashi is fucking crippled
Clover constantly is on break.
MHA has been stagnant for years now.

Outside of comedy oriented series, the action oriented series seem to flounder nowadays.

I don't think praise should be given for production if the product itself is subpar. Loved early One Piece. I'm weirdly nostalgic for it, but it reuses the same overall plot structure for damn near every arc after a certain point. By the time of Thriller Bark, I just wanted things to end. Marineford, in hindsight, is a big heap of nothing. Just a bunch of fights and characters. The overall arc for that just dragged on and on. Timeskip killed what interest I had left. Pop in from time to time, and it seems to have only gotten worse, albeit with far more clear direction.
