The graft looked even worse at my 2nd follow up yesterday. So, they will be regrafting it. I’m nervous it will fail again, and worried I won’t be able to go home at the planned time.

Feeling bummed, but grateful that my new dude is healing really well and both surgeons are thrilled with my progress.

It looks like the surgeon was drunk and performed the bulk of this surgery with a fucking Shop-Vac. A bit surprising that the doctor who did this is experienced performing mastectomies on cancer patients, people on here were speculating that ftms might end up with less god awful results/scarring if they went to one of these docs vs an SRS butcher, that is evidently not the case. Maybe the surgeon has a deep hatred for ftms, because I'd hate to think women with cancer end up with work this shoddy on top of everything else.

Lmao I was just about to point out the juxtaposition of these statements. The other one had a mastectomy and kept a thick multi-grease coating in order to reduce scars, and was very eager to tell everyone about her skin care routine in between experiencing injustice.

Idk what the specific case was, but keeping the incisions moist with an antibiotic ointment (or vaseline) and not letting them dry is effective for reducing scar formation. You do have to to wash them clean daily, then reapply. Knowing its a tranny however means that they probably did the aftercare entirely wrong.

None of it matters if your surgeon did a literal hack job with a complete disregard for incision and suture technique.

u/SisuMan72 has graced us with a look at a rare type of phalloplasty called gracilis phalloplasty.
Done in 2012 in Finland. TiF is now 50yo and the phallus length is 3.2inches. Skin used is from thighs and labia according to comments on her profile. Glans is a different color due to donor area being the thigh. Surgeons are Sinikka Suominen and Maija Kolehmainen from Finland Helsinki Töölö hospital.
She seems to have issues peeing though. She uses a catheter regularly and has "silicon mushrooms" handy to keep the tip open.

She basically has to dilate like a TiM does.

RFF Phallo with sh scars - TW for SH scar photos

I had first stage RFF phallo with Mr Christopher, UK, in June 2023.

I've seen a few posts regarding sh scars and phallo, so wanted to share some pics, in case this can help anyone in a similar circumstance.

Scars were quite significant and formed over a period of about 10 years, some fairly large, but were at least 3 years old at the time of surgery.

My surgeon performed a prep/exploratory surgery before hand to check for circulation, where the flap was lifted and replaced, in Feb 2020. This all went fine, and I was told if it heals well, then all would be fine to go ahead for stage 1.

Stage 1 went really well, and I was lucky and had 0 complications.

In terms of sensation, my surgeon informed me, as long as I could feel sensation on my arm/scars that this should not effect the results of sensation. At 7 months post op, I now have fairly good sensation, I can feel most of the shaft, as well as cold temp at the base and tip, so hopefully this will only get better in time.

In terms of aesthetics, He does have some dips/raised bits on the larger scars, that you can feel when touching, but this does not bother me, and I joke that he has natural ribbing, for others pleasure! haha!

The scars do not bother me at all, and I love my dick very much, and would not change it.

I’m not that surprised the breast cancer surgeon here left pooner with a saggy chest, TBH. So here’s my theory: a mastectomy for cancer requires all breast tissue to be removed. Without reconstruction, the chest will be basically skin over ribs. It doesn’t look like a man’s chest - it’s much, much flatter.

A mastectomy for a pooner however can’t remove all the tissue because the goal is a realistic male chest, which has some tissue in it, plus they are trying to retain the nipple, which will also be sitting in a different position. It’s technically tougher, and unsurprisingly goes wrong. Add in the fact that, unlike a mastectomy for cancer, no-one dies if this goes wrong, and you have shitter results all round.

Ladies and I mean real women, this is a reminder that breast tissue goes almost all the behind your shoulder. So when you do breast exams, make sure you are checking all of the tissue.

Breast self exam has not demonstrated significant effect for either early cancer detection or increased survival in women who do turn out to have cancer. Overdiagnosis is a real phenomenon.

You can still do them if you want, but they're no longer recommended by any reputable organizations.
