I wholeheartedly agree. I went to high school with a guy like Cobes. He was high all the time, was obsessed with Rush, and played bass guitar. He also had the uncanny ability to show up right behind you moments after you spotted him in the neighborhood. For some odd reason, he was also a devout Christian and obsessed with bowling. Fast forward a decade or so later and he's too burnt out to realize who anyone around him is. I passed him buy and he had no idea who I was anymore. You can even see the rusty gears in his head struggling to turn to figure anything out.

Gothie made the critical mistake of not waiting until she was locked into a relationship to start with the borderline personality disorder shenanigans. She really wanted him to chase after her when she started with the "you have no idea how much of a ride-or-die I was for you" type of garbage, but Cobra just shrugged his shoulders and moved on.

Cobes is sometimes a Giga Chad when women try to manipulate him. Like gothie who immediately was trying to win sympathy points with the “woe is me I’m damaged goods” act and he just called her out and fucked off. Or when one of his ex’s who he was with for like a day or two and likely just needed a place to stay got kicked out by him and she started talking about being suicidal and killing herself and he just went “okay do it”.

It’s really bizarre that he can sniff out a dumb bitch trying to fish for compliments or sympathy and call it out. Or catch on that somebody is trying to guilt trip him and manipulate him with the whole “I got nowhere to stay if you kick me out I’m gonna kill myself”schtick and get at the same time is unable to grasp “better not ____ BOY!”

Edit: come to think of it maybe he’s not catching on that they’re trying to manipulate him. Maybe he just rebuffs them cause he hates women
