I still think the show should have been a "sinner of the week" type thing about different wacky residents of the hotel and their story of what brought them there as Charlie tries to redeem them, I always thought Mrs. Maysberry from Helluva Boss would have been a great addition to the cast and the themes of redemption, because she did one or two really bad things, but aside from that, seemed like a genuinely good person aside from the murder-suicide and hiring some assassins.
Abandoning the idea of basically R-rated Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends was probably one of the biggest mistakes in regards to this show's story.

So, Angel Dust's sister, Molly, can be seen in heaven in one of the episodes, and her design along with a bunch of others' just raises so many questions.

Do you still turn into a furry/monster/thing even when you go to heaven in this universe? I thought the reason there were so many anthros in hell was because that's where furfags deserve to go they were turned into that as punishment, and the reason that some of the cherubs in HB were anthros too is because they were never human to begin with, and were just supposed to be uwu cutesy things in general.

Now? I have no idea what the fuck is going on.

Okay, I’m off work. Time for my thoughts on episode three.

I liked when Alastor was visibly suppressing the urge to murder the egg bois. Also, I liked the ending. Oddly adorable and wholesome for this show. It’s always nice to see a snake boi sleep aside his egg bois.

Also, I got jumpscared when the Hispanic-sounding demon bitch started singing to the black girl. Like, goddamn, there was no buildup to that.

More snake and egg shenanigans, please.

I'm not even gonna ask why Alastor thinks it's a good idea to curse at Lucifer
You see it in a lot of recent series/movies/etc. Usually by a woman, it's treated as some sort of astoundingly witty comeback when they lose an argument and rather than accepting the loss they swear. The audience is meant to react like they've come up some manner of epic comeback that trumps whatever was last said. The most common appearance of it is is a pair of raised middle fingers.
- Heaven isn't entirely evil at least, the executor designs are just edgy masks, and it seems like It's something Adam started up than anything else. So it isn't full Heaven bad, but "good is dumb" instead which while not great, it isn't full blown reddit atheist.
I'd have quite liked it if the twist turned out to be that they wear those masks to hide that they weep when required to destroy such as when sent out to do the purging. Would have been a nice nod to them being largely beings associated with creation/protection normally.

Why are some randos on a gossip forum coming up with better ideas in random off the cuff comments than multiple writers working for the largest corporation on the planet with the benefit of having 4 years to refine their plots?

I don't know. Ask in 4chan too.
Not go into Reddit. Probably they still sucking Viv's pussy right now.

Okay, I just watched episode four.

What the actual fuck.

I wanted to see Charlie grow a spine when she almost stood up to Angel’s boss. Too bad she wasn’t allowed to.

Also, I’m just gonna assume that Angel’s musical number took place in his head. And not to sound like a pussy, but the abuse he went through in this episode actually made me feel uncomfortable. The fact that it’s played in a weirdly erotic way unsettles me. This better not be a fucking fetish for Viv. (I know we can be edgy on this website. But the truth is that we don’t wish for anybody to be sexually abused.)

Oh, and Keith David. Love the guy. Always great to hear him voice Husk in this show. It’s the little things that prevent it from being 100% shit. Too bad he fucking jumpscared me with his song.

By the way, one thing I forgot to mention about the earlier episodes. How exactly does death work? Like, when angels and demons are killed, where do they go? Do they just cease to exist, like what atheists believe? Do they regenerate? Do they go to some sort of super afterlife? Viv needs to think this shit through.

I feel great shame for knowing the answer to this, allah forgive me.

Short story, they're crazy durable, unless killed by angelic weaponry. Damned souls just kinda...regen and get back up later. Hellborn, like Angel Charlie, fade into the background. That's the 'totally for real' lore reason why everything has eyes and teeth and shit. It's not Viv only has one style, it's D E E P E S T L O R E.

Fucking kill me.

Oh it is. Both Viv and the staff member who storyboarded that episode, Raphielle, have a rape kink and ship Angel with Valentino. Some dialogue from the episode was even taken from a Valentino x Angel rape comic said staff member drew.

If that weren't bad enough for you: Raphielle is also a FTM tranny who changed their name to Tony, cosplays as Angel (they recently uploaded a picture to their Instagram of them being held and seemingly kissed a Valentino cosplayer), and does sex work, basically kinning him.

I'm trying to watch the scenes with Alastor, but godd, they're not good.
They keep trying to make him all scary and badass, but the pilot's animation style and his old VA were doing pretty much all of the heavy lifting in doing that, now he just seems as goofy as he looks when he threatens to rip Husk's soul apart (which I don't know about that scene, Husk seems like he's worked for Al for awhile, I think he'd know never to touch a nerve like that) or he suddenly turns into fucking slender man defending the hotel.

My brain tried to protect me, but fuck you, bitch, I do what I want.

Can anyone tell me why Alastor suddenly gives a fuck? The wife thinks 'pride', but I think Viv only knows that word by the faggot meaning. (It would explain why the show takes place in the Pride ring...)

Wasn't this whole thing supposed to be a goof for him to laugh at? Shouldn't watching the crew try to fend off Z tier puns be a chuckle?

Edit: Also, I don't know why they keep trying to make Val intimidating. Bitch isn't even the most intimidating bug themed character. He's a fey spic. Who gives a shit?

It's due to whatever deal he struck with Lilith that consists of him essentially being Charlie's babysitter. On that note, it's weird Husk is even aware Lilith is the one holding his leash, since moments before that he admits he didn't know what Alastor was doing the past seven years. Unless he only knows that Alastor is indebted and not specifically to whom.

For me, a missed opportunity was to show how a person's life of sin led to their appearance when they died. Seeing how character appearances range from being slightly human (Niffty and Cherri), anthropomorphic/furry (Angel Dust, Husk, Sir Pentious, and Valentino), or something grotesque under a humanoid guise (Alastor), this could have been explored where someone ended up being less human because they did horrible things, like how Alastor was a serial killer and cannibal.

Given how Adam seems to be wearing his mask all the time, unlike his second-in-command, I'm guessing his face is really ugly to add to the "Adam is an incel" theory.

Is it me, or are HB's hell and HH's hell are being kept juuust different enough from each other to avoid any possible legal scenarios? Because if Heaven's so scared of hell and wants to keep them from being big enough to organize against them, would it not be smarter to go after hell's ACTUAL legions, Goetia Family, and/or seven deadly sins? Because if regular sinners stand an even slight chance against angels, than the ones miles above them in power should be the highest priority in taking out, but I guess not, if all their actual jobs seem to entail is singing, crying, and being gay.
I get the impression that Hazbin and Helluva Hells are being kept separated from each other as well, mainly in that Hazbin appears to be populated by foreign sinners and fallen (except for Charlie) while Helluva is populated by hellborn (except for one-off clients). You'd think that exclusively-hellborn imps are in abundance, but I don't think I've seen a single one in Hazbin. The best we have is Val's servant "Kitty" that has some semblance to a Fizzbot.

As you suggested, I suspect this is on purpose so that Viv will forever have free reign over Helluva while Hazbin and its characters might now be owned by Amazon, though I don't know if there's confirmation anywhere about who owns the rights to what. Things are just kept vague enough so that the two shows can plausibly have the same setting since there's cross-promotional value to be had in that, so I don't expect Helluva will ever go to the Pride ring, for example.

One silver lining of this is that despite all the fucked up fujo shit Vivz (unintentionally?) made a good point about how exploitative "sex work" is, and that people realize it's the depraved shit it is, even in the hell show where the demons say fuck.

Watched episodes 5 & 6: Decent but a bit rushed...
I liked the infighting between Alastor and Lucifer over Charlie.Lucifer's song was heartfelt and a decent lift emotionally.

The side characters Sera & Em were too quickly set up, some scenes in earlier episodes might have been better....

Reactions: Larry Trainor
As others have stated, the pacing has been thrown against the wall with episode 5-6.

But seriously, Alister openly shit talked the whole concept of the hotel multiple times right to Charley face, even in the first two episodes. Even if the story actually ends up that he's owned by Lilith, what causes the sudden change for him acting like he cares now? It's not like he was facing getting kicked out, or the situation had changed. It didn't stop him from getting accepted at the start of the hotel even though that was the prime point for him to be turned away.

And the little Angle I still don't know jack about.

Suspension of disbelief murdered just like the plot.
