Darksiders really did do the whole "Flawed Heaven and morally grey Hell" better than Viv, didn't they?
True, Heaven in Darksiders is still overall the "good guys" but do to all the shenanigans Hell does some of the angels becoming more and more desperate is understandable.

We even have scenes whare an angel outright admits they fucked up and are ready to face the consequences. Man, Darksiders is such and underrated series!

It's baffling that Vaggie would keep the name that Adam gave her as well, Adam helped cut out her eye and wings, then left her for dead. Did she seriously not have a name before she met Adam?
Seriously, that line throws so much of her character into question as well. I'm trying to disregard supplemental material, as basic details belong in the show, but she is still Hispanic for some reason? If Adam named her, and she kept that name instead of her "human" one, I just don't get it. Others have raised enough points on how many interesting character details leading to neat plot concepts she has that will result in nothing, so I'll stop ranting.

This is why this stuff should have been season 2 material
Completely agree that all of this needed more time to cook and season 1 should've only been core character building. I like all the ideas they are putting down, but it's just a bulleted list of them with no substance. Once again, a world filled with neat ideas and characters set up to use them, but nothing happens instead.

Viv seems to have some obsession with the idea that if a character is a not a famous special over powered super villain, which now amounts to pretty much all the cast, then they aren't important. I miss assuming Husk was just some random ass drunk but now he's been revealed also being just another famous powerful resident.

Angel might be the only person in the hotel who's actually normal. Of the residents there are now:
The princess of Hell
Overlord
Former overlord
Fallen angel (not Dust)

Show needs like a more grounded character thats just there, I'm thinking someone that gives Tim Curry in Home Alone 2 vibes. Some kind of guy who was criminal on earth before dying and is punished by being the hotel's concierge. You know, someone who can be slapsticked around, has to take all the shit he gets with a smile but then takes out his frustration on his coworkers behind the scenes, only sticking around cuz he thinks that doing this kind of job might be his ticket out of Hell. Not an Overlord, not a pornstar, just a dude.
The lack of residents and with the season speeding through five months is clear fact that most, if not all, the sinners don't care about redeeming themselves and Charlie's project is an absolute failure. With the main storyline being rushed, it would have made sense to have the next extermination happen in one month. That way each new episode feels like it a few days or a week after the other.

Got some specifics about Sir Pentious and Adam in the finale:

Also apparently Pentious confesses to Cherri, kisses her and then runs away at some point.

Edit: Gabriel Brown did a little Q&A about the pilot VAs and the farewell song they did/were supposed to do together.

I think it’s only a sin if you become addicted to it. See 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
The Abrahamic religions are all screwed up when it comes to booze. They lived in a society that NEEDED alcohol cause clean drinking water was almost non existent, but addiction and drunkenness? Best case scenario ostracized (Christians) worse case scenario painful punishment or death (the Arabs of course)

She seems to be a master at that. (I can’t believe Verbalase wants to fuck… this.)
Have you seen the amount of Charlie and/or pomni lewd art? Never underestimate the power clussy/jussy has over coomers.
Viv's main intention, I think it's pretty safe to say at this point that the show is promotional of Satanism,
It's funny how Knowles and daily wire will bash anyone as an "evil satanist" if they don't totally embrace their ideals or in vivs case made a show that tries to portray the "villians" of Christianity in a sympathetic light. These guys really are the remnants of the puritans who ran moral crusades against everything from Harry Potter to rock and roll way back when. These guys wonder why few people take them seriously? Or why even forums like ours while we do agree whether some of their opinions, will stall call them out for bs when we see it?

It's cause they're the opposite end of the spectrum. If vivziepop is the end result of left leaning thinking taking over the entertainment industry daily wire and what it produces be it news, cartoons, or movies is the end game of right leaning thinking doing the same.

But seriously, Alister openly shit talked the whole concept of the hotel multiple times right to Charley face, even in the first two episodes. Even if the story actually ends up that he's owned by Lilith, what causes the sudden change for him acting like he cares now? It's not like he was facing getting kicked out, or the situation had changed. It didn't stop him from getting accepted at the start of the hotel even though that was the prime point for him to be turned away.

If I had to make a guess, Alastor was just messing around. I doubt he actually cares about Charlie at all, It's likely that, due to his close friendship with Rose/Lilith, he just wanted to piss off Lucifer and try to separate Charlie from him more (remember when Lilith went into his office and took away baby Charlie?).

It's just "Lilith hates you, Lilith is my bestie so I hate you, fuck you, your daughter calls me Daddy too"

I don't know, it doesn't seem like he's doing it for a friend when the cat said he's on a leash and the way Alister reacted to that being said. Seems pretty hostile relationship if you ask me.

That lines up with the song called "Pentious returns" from the leaks. I'm envisioning that he confesses and bolts in episode 7, only to return at the beginning of episode 8 dressed in that old commander style outfit with a bunch of war machines as seen in his 'General Pentious' card.

Still, I consider it a coinflip whether or not his death will actually stick or not. Not only since it would make sense storywise that a sacrifice would earn someone redemption regardless of Sera giving the OK because not even angels know or control someone getting into Heaven, or that Pentious is a fan favorite that will just piss people off if they kill him super early in the series, but also because Viv is a massive Alex Brightman fangirl and writing both his characters out of the show at the end of season 1 would be surprising to me.

You'd think this would be obvious, but lots of people are taking Alastor seriously. He's a massive troll and was just trying to get under Lucifer's skin - he looks right at him with the biggest shit-eating grin when he sings "You could almost call me 'Dad'."

Honestly I really liked 5+6. I feel like the show should just be 1,5 and 6. The conversation with Angel Dust and Valentino in the club covered everything about the horrors Angel Dust goes through, and didn't feel like fetish shit.
Also the story/tone is less confusing if you go in that order.

And holy shit Charlie is an actual character that's being developed now.

So, basically Naruto.
C'mon; you can't be serious about seeing in a specific order to follow a plot. That's horrible schedule and writing phase.

Now? That should be made in the first episode, not 4th onwards.

Oh I agree it's handled terribly. I've been very judgmental of the show-- but it shows fun potential. I really didn't expect to like 5+6. I'm a bit shell shocked, actually.

I'll say one good thing about this show, it strikes the perfect balance where both people who love and hate the show are fun to laugh at
