While I generally agree with his sentiment I'm not sure I agree with the aggressive push to alienate all the site's old users and make it some kind of girlcow board refuge for all the middle aged women who got banned from Mumsnet and various blogs.

I've been here since early 2014 and lurked back before Null even owned the site. The people that contributed and built the site up to what it is today aren't bitter feminists but nerdy young men much like Null himself.

Yes incels are cringe but I think telling all the site's users to fuck off because this isn't a fun shitposting site anymore but some kind of super cereal #reeesistance for the future of wymnkind against the evil troon menace is fucking cringe and gay.

I just want to laugh at idiots that cum on plushies and talk about videogames man. When I first started posting here I didn't sign up to get drafted into some gay anti troon culture war bullshit.

No I don't hate women but I do think this site was generally a lot more fun before we absorbed all the girlcow board refugees and had to adjust the site's culture to accommodate them and make the entire thing about fighting troons Instead of having fun.

Fuck man maybe I've just gotten old and the new crop of users aren't interested in shitposting and having fun and everything has to be some gay crusade about gender or politics.

The troons are actively trying to take this place down, what exactly do you not understand? THEY started the crusade. Do you expect Null to sit back and say "well I am still cool with troons, I guess I will take down the mean threads about them because they don't like it, we will only talk about non-troon lolcows from now!"? Just a few years back, pretty much everyone on the internet's non-corporate side subscribed to "woman bad", but now woman good actually. 'TERF' was coined by TRAs as a derogatory label for their opponents. They want to program trans exclusion as radical feminism, when it's not radical anything, because it's actually normal to exclude trannies. Now as far as American attitudes in general, I had to leave for a while and go spend some time overseas. Seeing how the rest of the world behaves is a culture shock I haven’t entirely recovered from. Same with the food. Basically, if you don’t Americans, I get it. I’m starting to dislike them too.
