Just like that old Beach Boys song.

There was a youtube channel back in the early 2000's called JibJab. They did song parodies about election news and poorly animated them, but they were all pretty family friendly. I had a high school civics teacher that was obsessed with making us watch them. I recall one of their more popular videos was a Bomb Bomb Iran parody and it was pretty savage towards McCain being a war hawk. I went back to watch it and unfortunately they deleted a lot of videos from that era that trashed the military industrial complex.

It's breathtaking that they think they can do this now and get praise for it.
I'm some dumbass on the internet and I can see that the base won't support this chickenhawk shit anymore, why can't they see it?
You forgot the even more retarded part: they're blaring this signal in a medium where the boomers they're trying to appeal to can't even reach. because they're tech-illiterate boomers, or they kicked them out of fucking twitter in the first place cuz muh hate spee/misinformation

Everyone stereotypes California as blue woke hell but if you were to split SF, Oakland and LA into their own state the rest of it would be very, very red. There's nobody who hates California wokeness more than the rest of California and I have a feeling it's going to be incredibly funny if any sort of shit actually goes down, doubly so if it involves the internet going down and SF can't whinge on twitter about it.
Same for Illinois.

Cut out Shitcongo, and you have a red state. But nah, Prickster screams over us.

In a poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, 18 percent of voters say they're 'more likely' or 'significantly more likely' to vote for a candidate endorsed by Taylor Swift.

Her sway was more visible with voters under the age of 35.

This election will see 8 million new voters in the US electorate - and a total of 41 million Gen Z voters, many of whom are influenced by celebrities and social media.
However, 17 percent said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate backed by Swift - which could bode badly for Democrat Joe Biden.
So at best her endorsement is worth a net of 1%. And the base of her support is with the age group least likely to actually vote anyway.

Even if Swift said "vote Joepedo or I won't let you come to my concert," this is only really swaying maybe 5% of women who listen to her to vote for Biden. It's going to be made up and increase with the amount of young men who want to vote Trump so they can not be shit on financially, romantically, and not be sent to die in killing fields for dumb dykes in DC.

Why can’t the left take an L on anything?
Sunk cost fallacy combined with the fact that any sort of tactical retreat to live to fight another day at this point politically and socially, means ceding ground politically and culturally and they flat out refuse to do so because if they did so, they'll never regain that ground in their lifetime.

The left has won so much shit in the last 30+ years that you have multiple generations of lefties for whom defeat is a foreign concept culturally and where if they lose politically, it's only because "the right cheated". And worse, these victories have been based on basically going "all in" on every single fight since they've become accustomed to rigging the court system and the Supreme Court system in particular, to codify their crazy shit into law; especially after California told the left to fuck off and die by banning gay marriage.

But as I've said numerous times, the left don't know when to fold to preserve gains and just keeps doubling down/going all in risking everything every time they play the politics game. And that it's eventually going to wipe out all of their gains from the last century when their luck runs out and the lefties who lost everything politically and culturally for their side will die before the left can even TRY to regain those losses.

'Celebrity power in elections has grown because celebrity power itself has grown. And in a world awash in messages, it's the celebrity voices that really resonate.
These journalists are fucking delusional. We're literally in an age where Hollywood studios openly attack fans for not giving a fuck about their hugely overpriced "stars", as nobody watches a film for the lead actor anymore. That shit died off by the mid-90's, when even Arnold stopped being a draw and most of the old British actors aged out of starring roles. The closest thing we have to a film star today is Tom Cruise, and even he's not a box office guarantee.

Celebrity power is weaker today than any time in probably the last century. There's just too damned many celebrities now, every asshole Youtuber and Instagram "influencer" and Twitch Thot is a celebrity now, all of them hocking some product or show or shitty political message. Whatever power there still is in celebrity, it is diluted as all hell.

None of their "voices" resonate with anyone. A bunch of leading MCU actors endorsed Hillary, at the fucking height of the most successful, influential film series in history, that was routinely making a $1 billion a film, and it did nothing.

On the Swift front, she did have a ridiculously high earning concert tour last summer. While I won't say that was pushed by the powers that be, I do believe they saw that and went, 'Target Acquired'.
Pretty much that. And she's got dirty laundry up the wazoo with her being a deeply closeted dyke, not properly crediting writers and producers, and the true story of her IP war with Scooter Braun, which she lost and went scorched earth on him. Add to that she actually likes being seen as "America's Sweetheart" and not the shrewd business-saavy tribbing dom bitch she actually is and they probably didn't have to twist too hard to make her a propaganda asset.

I think you're reading too far into it. Its not that deep. The content machine has to be fed so journos come up with bs 'what-if' articles to stir the pot. Its bait. Taylor Swift is not winning any political races anytime soon. Her astro-turfed rise is as a pop star can be blamed on the media machine for whatever reasons which are unknown to me.

While there would be people wanting to stay in their areas who would get stuck in an unfriendly country (a Northern Californian, a Houston Texan), many would move. Moving freely from state to state is common. It's happening now with the exodus from CA and to TX and FL. I look at a lot of my family history and see constant moving and migration around the US through the early 1800s til now. There are always examples of someone owning the same land for 150 years, but it's a lot more natural for people in the US to move around. It's also not like Isreal and Palestine where two groups claim the exact same land and neither wants to move due to ancient ties.

Again, not easy, but more possible than 160 years ago.

Excuse me while I do the Bender "hahahaha... oh wait you're serious? let me laugh at you louder and more hardier" thing.

It's financially impossible to move to another city/state these days unless you are upper middle class or rich and have a fat bank account (as is the case with all of the California exiles fucking up other states like Texas and Colorado).

Moving cost fucking money, especially if you have a family since you can't force your kids to live in a car by the river because the bulk of the working class/middle class can't even produce $500 out of their asses for an emergency car repair, let along have the money to fucking pay to uproot themselves, their entire lives to go someplace where they will be defacto homeless and jobless since they have no place to stay and can't even afford a sleazy hotel/motel which specializes in long term stays for people who can't afford to rent a place.

Taylor Swift could sway 2024 election outcome, new poll finds with a FIFTH of voters 'likely' to back candidate endorsed by singer

Taylor Swift could heavily influence the way that Americans vote in the presidential election - with a fifth of voters saying they're 'likely' to back a candidate she endorses.

The popstar's stratospheric influence on popular culture may sway the race to the White House, especially as new Gen Z voters join the electorate this year.

Although she has never publicly said who she votes for, in 2020 Swift vowed to kick Trump out of the White House with her vote.

A total of 55 percent said that they were neutral and wouldn't be swayed either way.

The data comes from a sample size of 1,500 people - 45 percent of which said they liked Taylor, with 54 percent saying they were not fans.

Six percent said they'd never heard of the Shake It Off billionaire singer.

Her popularity over the last 12 months has reached new highs. She was named Time magazine's 2023 'Person of the Year,' led the immensely-successful Eras tour that raked in over a billion dollars, and bloomed in her relationship with Travis Kelce.

Communications consultant James Haggerty said: 'She's influenced popular culture, sports, the economics of entire regions of the U.S.'

'Swift is in the class by herself. She's so talented and so popular and so ingrained in pop culture. No one is close to her.

'Celebrity power in elections has grown because celebrity power itself has grown. And in a world awash in messages, it's the celebrity voices that really resonate.

'In a world where a reality show star can become president—and maybe become president twice—all of this makes perfect sense.'

Taylor Swift, who often keeps her politics to herself, has previously criticized Republican Donald Trump - and vowed to 'vote him out' of the White House.

She accused then-President Trump of 'stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism' his entire presidency in 2020.

The Shake It Off singer took to social media to condemn Trump for his remarks over the violence that erupted after the police-related shooting death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

'After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?

'When the looting starts the shooting starts'??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump,' wrote Swift in the tweet.

In recent months, Trump has also snapped back at the popstar.

Trump has weighed in on the romance of Taylor and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and made his own predictions of the tryst.

The Republican candidate frontrunner congratulated the pair, but quickly predicted they may not last.

'I wish the best for both of them. I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not — most likely not,' Trump said in a candid response during an interview with the Daily Caller.

It came after the Washington Post published an opinion piece, saying: 'If anyone should be worried about Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce, it's Trump.

'These two have fan bases that are huge and devoted. Just from Swift attending that single Chiefs game, Kelce's merchandise sales jumped 400 percent,' columnist Rick Reilly wrote.

In one Instagram story, Swift urged her fans to exercise their democratic right to register and vote.

Her followers appeared to heed her advice with the number of users logging onto Vote.org skyrocketing 1,226 percent in the course of an hour, Reilly noted.

He explained how Swift had a massive 450 million followers on X while Kelce also had a significant fanbase although 'only 5 million.'

Reilly posed the question: 'What if they decided a fun couples thing to do would be to … I don't know … save democracy?'

The op-ed suggests that their diverse fanbase, many of whom could be potential Trump voters, the former U.S. President should give their relationship more thought.

I guess Soros is once again dicking Taylor, offering to sell her her old master back to her if she helps get Biden re-elected (and be his favorite football player's cock sleeve) and Taylor is desperate to get them back, especially since I can see Soros licensing her original works out for pennies to anyone who wants them or worse, declaring them public domain and irrevocably fucking Taylor over if she doesn't get on the "Biden or Bust" train.

I was about to say, Taylor Swift is such a weird has been artificial celebrity. If we were still on 2014 sure I might buy it but now? It really comes off as some sort of pathetic "how do you do fellow kids" push here.

Is she even popular at all with zoomers? All the women I see mention her are well into their late 20s and pushing 30. I don't think anyone born after 2000 cares about her.

Her current boost in popularity comes from her doing a lengthy greatest hits tour after several albums that were commercial busts (Lovers, aka her woke album) or were severely hampered promotional-wise by Covid, which she is doing all sorts of shameless shit to pimp out since her career has peaked and she's been compromised by globo-homo holding her first 5-6 albums (everything through Reputation) hostage.

Graham's job is to make the Republican party look bad so that people on the left have something to point at to say, "See! This is why we have to oppose them!" It's like anti-PR. He's a heel.
