The occasions when people request he remove it entirely to free up space on the screen, he responds by claiming his fans want to see his expressions, so the vanity cam stays. He looks truly hideous, and he must know this. He has a face for radio at this point, and his gameplay footage would be more tolerable without a constant reminder of what he looks like. He seems to think you can only improve as a YouTube creator by adding elements to the screen, and to remove stuff would be backpedaling. Ego. Dave really believes he's a positive internet personality changing lives with his meaningful content.

It wasn't that long ago his pre streams had no face cam and were relatively short begging sessions. Dave was just a guy that played games and wanted to chill then.

As always, he finds new ways to be worse.

No, it was all the 'Hate' shit that he stole from the FGC group named Team Hate. So his forum name, his vlog channel name, the name he tried to give his fans calling them 'The Hate Army', etc. Phil for a short while was a member Team Hate, so imagine how fucking cringy it was for him to quit competing in tournaments and then later be calling himself 'The King of Hate'.
He took the 'DarkSyde' thing from the Crazy Town song 'Dark Side' and he stole the 3 letter acronym thing from the wrestler Rob Van Damme a.k.a. RVD. He changed the 'i' to a 'y' because he didn't want people mistaking him for some nerdy Star Wars fagot. He's a badass edgelord, totally not some spastic awkward loser.

Whoa Moses was Phil's initial username on forums starting when he was 16 because he said he couldn't think of a name and he was such an edgelord teenager that he "didn't care" so he just had the system auto-generate one and that was the first one so he just stuck with it.
So like everything about Phil he just took it from something else. Guy doesn't have a creative bone in his body.

He named his fucking rabbit bunny. No pop culture name, nothing in reference to some rabbit shit, just straight up bunny. I don't think DSP has ever had a single productive thought in his head. I'm actually shocked Jasper Kitty has a fucking name, but if I am remembering my Jasper lore right Jasper came with that name, so maybe he would have just been Kitty.

He believes the facecam is essential in making his slop into transformative interactive robust content. He has promoted replaying old games like Chrono Trigger as "new and improved" because now you get his ugly mug taking up part of the screen and constant pausing to read tips or get handheld.

The narc, of course, loves his face. His face must be plastered everywhere possible.
I'm sure you've seen his gay twitter avatars, his tip animations where his face is edited onto completely unrelated footage (have you seen the Sydney Sweeney edit? Vilest thing I've seen in 5 minutes), his reacks thumbnails with the brokeback face, the characters in video games he makes to his image as much as possible.
It's just narcissism. Me. Me. REEE.

Did his dents name some of these? Almost all of them have the pattern NounNoun or AdjectiveNoun. I'm guessing Phil named those, while his dents chose Delicious and ILikeToPinch..

It reminds me of older Cooking with Jack videos where he inserts commercial breaks "we'll be right back after these words from our sponsor" followed by his own reused in every video clip of his sauces being advertised like a low rent local commercial, then back to the main video. It's such an ego thing to pretend like it's a production for these people so lazy they can't do anything. Jack even pretends like he still edits his videos even though he's only got use of one hand since the strokes.

The past 20 minutes have been absolutely bat-shit crazy. "Sir Ed Sheeran the Pure" (Canadian Kirk) has been tipping DSP ($50 in total so far today) about being banned for the 5th time or so.

The weird part is: DSP keeps confirming he knows Canadian Kirk has been saying racist stuff in chat, but is actively trying to unban him live on stream while Canadian Kirk keeps sending $10 tips to plea for his unban and DSP at the same time claiming Canadian Kirk "can' t buy immunity"...

The amount of hypocrisy is absolutely staggering.
