I don't agree. Granted I only have listened to Putin a couple of times. But he made fun of Tucker Carlson a little bit by mentioning how he wasn't accepted into the CIA. He definitely has some sharpness to him.
I think what has happened is that he doesn't care about appealing to the populace anymore when he speaks. He says things how he wants to say them.
Granted that I don't really know that much about Putin especially since I don't even speak Russian.

Actually embarrassing how Putin makes US politicians seem retarded. Not saying Putin is the greatest statesmen today or of all time and I do think he did meander a bit, but in comparison our politicians are glorified AP gov students. Compare anything putin said to "Hah ish issah use to make the brew beer here... Issh da-finer... Oooooh Earth Rider... Thanks for the Great Lakes!"

He talks pretty fine, a lot of his trademark charisma is lost in translation because the guy dubbing him speaks in pretty dull monotone, Also a lot of Russian jargon is lost.

I think you're over-estimating the ability of the average westoid to absorb more information than can be conveyed in a 30 second TikTok...
But, to a large extent, those people don't matter. Either you care enough about history and nuance to absorb a chunk of background information before drawing a conclusion - or at least, understanding how and why Putin drew his conclusion - or you're a fucking retard who wasn't going to watch the interview anyway, and will be told what to think by CNN. Again.

It would probably be better if you listened to the original Russian. But you have to realize that Putin isn't trying to win a popularity contest or use a lot of flowery language to defend his actions. He's giving a lecture explaining what happened and how that affects and defines what is happening and what will happen. It's easy enough to make a statement that you just pull out of your ass, but he is backing up his reasoning with an explanation of Russian culture and history.

Putin clearly doesn't know how to engage western audience. If his goal was to make them learn Russian history, he should've done ether a series of short vertical videos or 5 hours long Autistic video essay about the topic.

The special counsel investigating him for holding classified documents said that Biden, though guilty, should not be charged because he was a doddering senile old man who can't remember much of anything.
Biden declared that he was not senile and that the special counsel had found him not guilty of anything. Biden in essence had a self-destructive public tantrum which only helped to highlight the conclusions of the special counsel.

haha that said I understand why it won't appeal much to anyone who isn't already convinced or apathetic to the russian case. Most people I talk to who are vehemently pro-ukraine couldn't even tell me what euromaiden is or about anything that happened in 2014 or point to me what the donbass is.

Honestly the US is likely the most historically illiterate country in the world. On sites like this, you'll run into a lot of Americans that know at least some history, but that's not the average normie American. If you talk to a mutt that was in school before about 1980, the US is this country that never did anything wrong, won every single war it ever fought, was the only nation to ever exist with any kind of basic human rights and all previous societies took men's virgin wives on their wedding nights because their deflowering was a noble privilege. The US also won its independence from the evil British who are now somehow second greatest allies with zero help from France which was always a nation of surrender monkeys. Rome and ancient Greece may or may not have even existed, but if they did they would have loved the US system unanimously, and people like Aristotle and Plato were great proponents of democracy. The Crusades didn't exist and Christianity wasn't invented prior to the early 1600s. Spain also = Mexico and Spanish people wear sombreros and eat tacos.
Talk to mutts that went to school past 1980 and everything was invented by a black guy, a gay, or a woman, and there are no examples of any members of one of those groups having done anything wrong whatsoever.
