For my money, it's because of the "cutesey monster" aesthetic that also made Undertale popular over there. For example, Nelnal / Medoropop was drawing fanart of/shilling it before even the pilot came out.

Well, as someone else already said, some people aren’t mentally capable of living and surviving in this world.

Their mental state is fragile and easily breakable.

The person probably already had suicidal tendencies. The bullying pushed them over the edge. They mentioned how during the Hunicast times everything was simpler. The Hazbin Hotel community was probably keeping them alive in the first place.

I gotta admit, I wanna hate both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva boss so bad. But the more I'm exposed to it, the more i realize the main thing i truly don't like is the writing and character designs. And the constant music numbers.

There's a lot of creativity and passion put into it. The ideas and concepts are actually pretty cool. But the writing is just so fucking BAD, dude. Hazbin Hotel is way worse than Helluva. Yet they both suck. How hard is it to not have sex jokes in every scene? How hard is it to not have all the characters be gay or be in a romantic quarrels? Its that type of stuff that makes it come across like one big immature DeviantART fanfiction than an actual adult animated show.

Theres plenty of cool and unexplored concepts regarding the setting and character dymanics. I dont mind Stolas and Blitz, and personally i actually love Ozz's and Fizz's relationship / backstory. But the way they go about Stolas and Blitz compared to Ozz and Fizz is very telling. And why did they have to make Fizz and Blitz like each other romantically, why was that thrown in there? Why does everything and everyone have to be involved with each other? Again, it comes across like something a preteen would write.

Its annoying seeing how much of it could be improved, how the issues with it are so obvious yet the creator is too egotistical to do anything. You got some cool concepts and ideas but its overshadowed by its poor writing. Its not even a budget issue.

If Adam and Eve is canon, then the humanity in this universe is a descendant of incest generations.
Why demons would repenpt anyway? Hell seem to be a cool place (at least when the angels aren't there), they can snort crack, have sex and kill each others all day. They don't care about redeemption, they also had their mortal life to change and didn't, why they would do it now?
Why do demons even care about angels extermination when they already kill each others all the time?
Hell exists for thousands of years and it's only now that they realize they can kill angels? And use their own weapon against them? Vaggie has her eye and wings cut, didn't she think for a second about what happened? Is she stupid?
What's stoppnig the angels to come up with another way to defense themselves, like making the weapon useless against them? Becoming stronger?
If adam can destroy everything with a holy light, why he needs an army of angels anyway?
What's the implication of redemption? For example, if Angel Dust is redeemed, does that mean he is not under Val's contract anymore? If so, why would Husk and every others souls sold to Allastor don't try to redeem too? It's not like Allastor would do anything anyway against it, right?
Btw, do Husk even have a soul since his got sold? If not, does it make him immune to angel extermination? Because that would make Allastor genuinely OP this time (because so far his powers are shown to be both powerful and useless one episode to another)
I haven't watch Helluva Boss btw

Late reply, but afaik SCAD is known in the art-school world as a college for (or infested with) furries. Atlanta is a furry hotspot too. Combine that with Bento Box (the studio that animated HH) and other smaller animation studios being based in Atlanta, I'm not really surprised that there was a crowd. If I was an aspiring 2D animator in the area, I would go for the networking opportunity. Animators are desperate for jobs because despite indie projects popping up here and there, big industry work appears to be fucking dying.

The emote is apparently a reference to a non-oficial song made by the original singing voice of Alastor.

There is no sign of this being a oficial collaboration however looking at the scythe which is an original prop made only for this dance we can clearly see it was made with the HH art style in mind
