Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I don't believe in Ukraine's right to exist.

I denounce Ukraine.

I believe that there should be a boycott, defunding and sanctions campaign against people who support Ukraine like cocaine traffickers and the state governments of California and Jew York and national government of Canada and the entire race of the eternal Pole.

More pragmatic to just keep them in the pow camp cause any, even if former, enemy combatant is a potential liability and a spy.
I was talking about executions or not. Though if desperate, I'm sure some mercs could be persuaded to fight in a penal battalion or in Africa. Either with money or with an explosive collar. But the Russians are not in a desperate situation.

Is Russia building three modern ships in St Petersburg? This is a land war iirc.

Not sure if this is a meme post, but wanted to chime in since I find Russia's MIC interesting. Russia is building a lot more than three modern warships - USC has a half dozen Gorshkov's under construction in St. Petersburg, and the Amur shipyard (Russian Far East shipbuilder) was recently granted a license to build them as well. This is the future of Russia's "warship" backbone now that they've replaced the gas turbines originally supplied by Ukraine and the poorly built replacements from China. The Russian Navy also recently took delivery of a number of new Borei, Yasen and even the redesigned Lada class subs, so sub building hasn't really been effected by the war/sanctions. On the aviation front, the Russian AF is still receiving new builds, including Su-57 (more were delivered in December), and fulfilling export orders (initial Su-34 &Be-200 exports to Algeria occurred last year). Russia's ability to domesticate production has been one of their biggest gains from this war but is rarely discussed.

Does anyone has a good source for combat footage of the Russian side?, i looked on youtube but al i could find were Ukra heroics where it looked they killed political dissidents or PoW with drones, and i found some Russian ones but i cant stand the loud hardbass track or Sabaton knockoffs over every little clip. Would love to hear the sound of the weapons and the engines, also curious about tactics used by the Vodka warriors. No propaganda but raw unfiltered military autism, please.
I think Russia has been taking a different approach to opsec. Ukraine soldiers literally have GoPros strapped to their heads which are used to record their deaths.
Russia's ability to domesticate production has been one of their biggest gains from this war but is rarely discussed.
Being able to domesticate their production gets ignored because it contrasts with every European and North American nation stopping their production and slipping to poverty because of it.

If most of the Ukrainian garrison end up surrendering, Ukraine's manpower in this front may collapse.

I'm not so sure about that. Ukraine has somewhat written off the 110th Brigade that was holding Avdiivka itself and send in the 3rd Brigade (Azov) to stabilize the situation behind them. If the 3rd Brigade stays in its current position northwest of the city and does not attempt a relief of the 110th brigade inside the city, at the airbase to the south of the city and other remote locations - then the 3rd brigade should remain intact. They will also be able to avoid any sort of collapse on that area of the front.

They will have wrecked yet another brigade (110th) to no useful purpose, but the front will remain stable.

But if they were to send 3rd Brigade deep into the city and down to the airbase, the brigade will be wrecked and there will be a danger of collapse along the front.

Azog 3rd Brigade's captain killed in Adveevka.

Ummm, I didn't think the West was supposed to have ground troops actually fighting in Adveedka? This seems.. odd. Are they preparing the public for some bad casualty/POW news?

This is really really weird.
Let me guess, the footage doesn't show them killing 22 Russians, they only claim they did.
Is that right?

edit: I'm blind.

House Intel Chairman announces ‘serious national security threat,’ sources say it is related to Russia

https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/14/poli...n-serious-national-security-threat/index.html https://archive.is/oLzju
House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner has made intelligence around a “serious national security threat” available to all members of Congress to review. Two sources familiar with the matter and a US official tell CNN the threat is related to Russia.

Multiple sources familiar with the intelligence characterized the intelligence as “very sensitive.”

Earlier Wednesday, Turner sent his Congressional colleagues a letter saying the urgent matter is “with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability.”

One of the sources who has seen the intelligence confirmed that “it is, in fact, a highly concerning and destabilizing” Russian capability “that we were recently made aware of.”

Turner said in the dear colleagues letter that the House Intelligence Committee voted on February 13 to make certain information available for lawmakers to review and says members have time to view this between Wednesday and Friday.

Turner is also calling on President Joe Biden to declassify “all information relating to this threat.”

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said he had personally reached out to set a meeting with top lawmakers on national security committees before Turner warned publicly of what he termed the “serious national security threat.”

“I reached out earlier this week to the Gang of Eight to offer myself for up for a personal briefing to the Gang of Eight and, in fact, we scheduled a briefing for the for House members of the Gang of Eight tomorrow,” Sullivan said from the White House. “That’s been on the books. So I am a bit surprised that Congressman Turner came out publicly today in advance of a meeting on the books for me to go sit with him alongside our intelligence and defense professionals tomorrow.”

Sullivan said he remained focused on sitting down with Turner on Thursday for the meeting.

He declined to elaborate on the nature of the threat.

“I’m not in a position to say anything further from this podium at this time,” he said.

He emphasized the Biden administration has “gone further and in more creative, more strategic ways, dealt with the declassification of intelligence in the national interest of the United States than any administration in history.”

“So you definitely are not going to find an unwillingness to do that when it’s in our national security interest to do so,” he said

The article is much longer with a ton of pics and video. This is really really weird.
Those videos are from August 2023 though. ninja'ed by @SaidNoOneEver

But what is this?
“serious national security threat.”
Not a word about what it is, just that's it's

Yeah, this is bullshit spread by those that want the Ukraine money bill passed. "Sources say" and "serious threat" is how they used to get the public freaking about about Afghans/Iraq/Saddam/Bin Laden/Al Qaeda/ISIS/Al Shabab etc to get they Patriot Act passed, war funding and of course, limitless Pentagon funding.

Even more weird is that the footage is from August 23, 2023. I think its from a battle south of the Avdiivka area. Perhaps near Opytne.
Yes they say the video is from August but was only uploaded to this YT channel yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/@ButusovPlus/videos

I'm more taken aback by how casually they report all the Western troops, err, "volunteers" doing all the fighting. Remember when all the foreigners were just medics?

Yeah, gotta get US troops on the ground somehow! Now is as good a time as any! It's not like they'd tell us anyway if the CIA/NSA/DoD bunker in Adveedka was overrun before they could destroy all the code books or encryption keys or whatever.

There was a twitter thread about Ukraine's issues and peculiarities in its command structure. I found it very interesting.
I also attached a pdf if the link dies though the PDF isn't great

I have heard that this might be Russia's EW capability. I don't know if you guys remember but Russia did some tests in Kaliningrad and shut down cell service in poland.

This makes a lot of sense and is probably the most likely reason for this story

It is possible that this is a way to try and get the US actually involved. I assume the US doesn't want to actually get involved but it is not impossible for the US to do so.

Russia continues to impress.

They’re fielding equipment that didn’t even exist when the SMO began.

Yeah, it’s not like they designed a new tank from scratch or anything, but still: Considering that it takes half a decade or longer procurement typically takes in the Pentagon, it’s impressive.

A new tank is pointless at this point. Most of what both sides have are "good enough" if they have thermals.
The new meta is drones/arti/atgm, these need counters.

3rd Assault Brigade (Azov) has been geolocated to be in Avdiivka.

Let's hope for another Mariupol.

Well, POW are usually exchanged 1:1. So since the Russians are taking many more prisoners than the Ukes, naturally the majority of them will never be traded back.

My my, looks like torturing/shooting russian POW-s, shooting down planes that carry your POWs leaves you in an awkward position after all.

It's all wishing well crap at this point from the West. One doesn't have to like Putin at all to realize that the US had Ukraine goad Russia into finally invading and then with a little resistance from them combined with US super sanctions Russia would have collapsed and Putin would be gone. Well we all know how that turned out. The US should have gotten out of the empire business long ago since it hasn't been very good at it to begin with.
