Of course they can. The world is filled with bad ideas that continue to proliferate even when challenged.

Ideological bubbles are fine because most people aren't looking to challenge their own ideas, I know I'm not most of the time.

It is a difficult, intensive and expensive endeavor to challenge the ideas you hold. People should have some degree of choice when and if they want to take such a journey.

I think we disagree on this.
I think objective reality should be pursued and that ideas that are obviously based on lies should be demolished.
And in the cases where we don't know enough to make an objective reality driven decision, we should strive to find out more.
The world is filled with bad ideas because they get state/wealth/institutional protection.
I want those protections and privileges removed.

She pushed the boundaries of the overton window with her transgressive screeds and played a part in the fact that people are generally more open to a broad range of feminist ideas than they would have been without her and people like her.
