Even coworkers who had only passing knowledge of a suicide victim have a heightened chance of committing it themselves. Suicide is in itself a cognitohazard that makes everyone surrounding it, even without a previous history of mental illness, more likely to die.

If you were to kill yourself right now and we found out about it, every person in this thread would be at a heightened risk. I'd rather be selfish for wanting a person to live and improve than selfish for putting my personal satisfaction over damaging a multitude of others.
