What are some Youtuber gimmicks that make you instantly dislike them or their content?

Max0r is the worst offender I know of, but probably half of all YouTube videos are plagued by this fucking shit now. It's just loud sound effects, cuts to the same 10 overused memes every 0.001 microseconds, seizure-inducing camera shaking. Watching even a minute of it makes me feel like I'm getting CTE.

People who over emphasize a letter when they're speaking. Hero Hei has this weird fucking habit of doing this with his T's. I don't know if it's a faggot accent thing, or it's a vocal tic, but I'm sure people know what I'm referring to.

I never understood what kind of people watch gaming streams. At least when it's edited down or in a group it can be funny. Movie watchalong at least can have the movie be the main thing.
I’ll do it if it’s a game I have enough interest in to be curious about but not enough interest in to actually play. Lack of free time/spare money can also be a factor.

Watching a listicle where some narrator explains everything that's about to happen in a news clip before it plays THAT EXACT NEWSCLIP. Bitch, I'm not retarded. I can derive information by watching the clip itself. I don't need someone to explain the content before subjecting myself to it. I know you're trying to pad the runtime, while wasting your viewer's time in the process...

The very idea that just because something is being narrated by a British guy with a dry sounding voice, it automatically means he's an authority who knows what the fuck he's talking about. Some of the biggest midwits I've ever seen on Youtube were British guys; coomer bugmen who knew nothing about religion, news, or their own country's history or culture. Just because a guy has a British accent, doesn't mean he's a graduate of Cambridge or Oxford. He could just be some rando with the British equivalent of a community college degree.

Leftist youtubers who twist themselves into knots apologizing to every oppressed minority group that's remotely connected to their topic of the day. We know you're a leftist faggot because you're ON YOUTUBE. You don't need to remind us.

Any youtuber that talks about Space and Space exploration when it goes around a hypothetical question like "XYZ in XYZ Years" or "What if XYZ became an XYZ". Dreksler Astral is the only one to get it done right because he doesn't sound like a bot, does a lot of research on the subjects he's talking about and doesn't use dumb royalty free cinematic clips. He eventually went onto more interesting topics like "Martian Dust Devils and Global Dust Storms". I don't subscribe to the space narrative so I treat it as a lore.

Also, any YouTuber that pretends to be an urban explorer and writes clickbait titles such as "XYZ almost killed me in the XYZ" or "we found a dead body at the XYZ". These were the people that 360 Investigations has called out (though I don't fully respect him either). I liked videos made by The Proper People, Freaktography and Abandoned Urbex Canada because these videos do feel like I am watching an Urbex Video that way they should be made. No stupid gimmicks like dead bodies and psychopaths and stuff like that. There were allegations of The Proper People and Freaktography faking things however I found very little evidence suggesting they were. 360 Investigations suggested that The Proper People only visited locations with very little decay which in my opinion is absolutely false because there is many evidence showing they have been in buildings that are abandoned for quite sometime. 360 Investigations also accused Freaktography of faking the money video and Freaktography told me there are 4 different narratives to this story.

This

I don't know how this is popular or why it exists but I hope he goes bankrupt.
To go one further, I hate when an established YouTuber throws away their gimmick for a vid or two to try and ride the coattails of an astroturfed meme (the Men Think About Rome thing being one).

To be fair Youtube will blackhole their videos if they don't censor.
One of my favorite guys just got a video struck down just cause he talked about DSBM.

I would like to know more? Or is this one of those that I shouldn't?
Here's the vid explaining the situation:

What's odd is that he's done vids praising Peste Noire and Arghoslent, yet somehow sadboy Black Metal is the vid that gets removed.

Ahh, okay. Yeah bit weird that of all things would set it off but I reckon it's arbitrary guidelines that cause he's saying suicidal, the bot flags that as if he's suicidal instead of him talking about DSMB. With AI it's gonna get worse.

Saying "Y'all" all the fucking time. Zoomer meme spam a la Dumbsville. Vocal fry. Neckbeard Quarter Pounder beard and wall of coonsomer shit in the back. Wanna be breadtuberisms like hawaiian shirts or Euphoria lights in your room and mike on hand.

As a Southerner, that is OUR word. These fucking Zoomers have over used it to the point where even *I* find it irritating as shit.

While I do like retrospectives, I have a pet peeve when the "retrospective" is just a drawn out synopsis where the reviewer talks about what they liked or didn't like in their playthrough. A good Morrowind retrospective might be broken up by faction /questline, maybe including lore about the faction or information about who at Bethesda wrote it, Kirbride or Howard or maybe it was Emil if Bloodmoon. Stuff like that. Show that you have some expertise on the subject or did some research. You don't just explain your playtime in Morrowind.

Doing a synopsis is the longform equivalent of top ten videos. It's lazy and people don't notice just because it's long.

A lot of the channels that complain about woke content in their mainstream capeshit, comics, fantasy or sci-fi franchises don't really offer much insight other than what's already been said. They don't even offer recommendations for their audience, which would be way more helpful. "Sick of what Star Wars has turned into? Check out an Italian rip-off from the 70s that's cheesy and entertaining!" The same applies to animetubers that go on rants about how anime is sexualized and problematic since it caters to men, only to discover that content creator is a hypocrite that likes shota/teen hentai and fanart. Same with the people that justify liking controversial or edgy by calling it a "problematic favorite" or "trash" as a caveat.

Saying "Y'all" all the fucking time.
I found out the perpetually online use it as a gender-neutral term, so that way all the weirdos with pronouns aren't offended.

I've seen a specifically bad one of a top X list that had every part of it made so each ranking can be uploaded later as a Youtuber short, with a "like and subscribe" plug. That's like a next level laziness.
