What are some Youtuber gimmicks that make you instantly dislike them or their content?

7) video thumbnails where someone is being mocked or derided, so they photoshop a picture of them to be missing teeth or have boogers in their nose or other gross shit

Either this or when people use censor bars or insanely oversaturated closeups of faces.

exaaactly. I see it a lot too with people who cover Disney's shenanigans, they'll 'shoop Kathleen Kennedy's face to be full of snot and put her in a prison jumpsuit and I'm just like... "why?" Kids are the biggest suckers for clickbait, but they don't give a shit about the inner workings of corporations, and the adults who would be interested in the video don't even click on it since it's so off-putting.

costumes and skits in non-angry reviewer shit
"Black People React to White People Music" and the thumbnails of their big Bubba nigger lips making either a confused face or a face of pure astonishment.
all of those are fake because never once does the black guy go "yeah it was okay" when faced with something he knows his audience wants him to like

The one thing that immediately makes me click off a video is the stupid arrow coming out and clicking on the subscribe, thumbs up and bell icons, followed by very loud "CLICKS" that always interrupt whatever the person is talking about.
"The woman was found in her bed, CLICK with CLICK blood on CLICK her body-"
Fuck off with that shit.

I fucking hate it when they Photoshop the person's eyes to be bloodshot red like that viral Brendan Fraser picture. TheQuartering does this shit in all of his thumbnails. Another one that's really annoying is when they change a person's eyes to bright blue for some reason: for example, there was a video essay (ala SunnyV2) about Wendigoon, and the thumbnail had his eyes changed to bright blue -- despite Wendigoon's real eye color being a deep, dark brown.

I think the trend started with The Right Opinion, who would make peoples' eyes red, yellow, or green to appear demonic and evil.

They haven't the IQ to comprehend White people music, all they know is the same 808 trap beat, groid mumbling and pointing a gun at the camera guy filming the music video.
I will take your average black man listening to classic rock and going "YEAH THIS AIN'T BAD WHYTE BOI" over a pseudo intellectual like Fantano pretending he understand anything about music. I call for Total Music Critic Death.

At least the black man is honest, he doesn't know shit about music. NEITHER DO I. Where a Music Critic is pretending such a medium isn't subjective to taste.

Synthetic Man’s entire gimmick of “I’m just the most anti-woke edgy guy ever, lol gay people”. He comes across as incredibly cringy and tryhard and I do not understand the appeal he had.

Self proclaimed critics who don't know the difference between summaries and reviews.

Stopping during the middle of the video to shill bullshit.

Don't get me started on ASMR and Mukbangs.

The ones who call everything woke. Who are basically nihilists/pessimists about entertainment.

Anyone who uses a thumbnail of themselves making that gross gaping soyfag mouth

If they have some little pet name to call their group of simps/paypigs. Obvious parasocial relationships in general.

Obligatory “SMASH that like button and RING DAT BELL YO!” niggerfaggots

-When they purposely sound monotone (to make themselves seem neutral on the topic at hand)
-When they have those gay faggot avatars of themselves on screen
-When they just give a summary of something and add their worthless opinion in the last 2 minutes of the video
-They are gay and constantly try to brute-force gay memes/jokes to remind us that yes, they are indeed a gay homosex
-They are a woman

Oh God the monotone. I automatically flag them as autistic even if they aren't. I also hate the true crime youtubers that all talk exactly alike. And the female ones where the thumbnail is them all made up, sometimes with cleavage showing. The video isn't about you. It's about the crime that occurred. The horny losers clicking your thumbnail don't care about the story. They just need something to jack off to at 3am.

Youtube faggots who deliberately use Photoshopped thumbnails just to get you to click on the video when the actual "content" from the thumbnail isn't in the video.
Hell earlier today I was watching a "fast food freakouts" compilation video and the Youtuber purposely edited the thumbnail to make it look like the guy in the thumbnail got punched in the face by a fast food worker when that never actually happens in the actual video, which would explain why the video had so many dislikes.

When the fucking intro to the video acts like you haven't read the title.

Also, censoring words when you're trying to talk about serious topics. How the fuck are you gonna talk about a serial rapist and censor the word rape?
To be fair Youtube will blackhole their videos if they don't censor. The guideline fuckery is the reason I suspect "Jim Can't Swim" called it quits despite the team that made that making stupid money at their high point.

Scary binaural beats.

99% of horror channels do it.
"wubwubwuBWUBWuwbUWBuWbUWBwuBWb"
Oh nooo I'm losingmy fucking miiiiind I'm gonna KILL JOHN LENNON!!
I somehow never fucking sent this apperently so yeah, you put up with it now.

I never understood what kind of people watch gaming streams. At least when it's edited down or in a group it can be funny. Movie watchalong at least can have the movie be the main thing.
I've watched friends and random people I've run into online and sometimes gained somewhat acquaintance or friend level interactions with overtime stream games. the appeal is more or less just watching how other people handle a game while also not really having to put up with some bullshit in games. A lot of small communities and friendgroups form around this kinda stuff it's kind of wild. Also kind of is a much better thing to gage games you don't know if you want to try and get into instead of game jounros.
There's also sometimes occasional parasocial insane people too that keep donating like 100 something dollars and not even actually talking to the people they watch outside of superchats telling them what to say but we don't talk about them.
