I can think of five possibilites:

1) Rumble contract renewed: got everything he wanted
2) Rumble contract renewed: less money, fewer obligations, high hopes that his increased freedom will allow him to go back to his glory days
3) No Rumble contract: signed with some other platform that is eager to scoop up Rumble's sloppy seconds
4) No Rumble contract: deludes himself that his decline was due to contractual obligations; expects to make a million dollars now he's free
5) No Rumble contract: knows he's fucked but tries to save face

He seems too giddy for (5) and Rumble probably isn't stupid enough for (1). (3) seems unlikely. (2) and (4) seem like strong contenders given the little info we have.

5) No Rumble contract. It seemed like fake optimism. He is now free to fail on his own merit.

Nick's talking about big changes ahead, changes regarding "a bunch of different entities involved in the show". No obligation to do the Locals aftershow anymore. Has been "hamstrung" by other people's ideas about the show, had to show them that it doesn't work by "subverting expectations". Now the social media expert is in charge again.

Wants to "explore masculinity" on Locals.

It's throughout the superchat segment, beginning around 2h46m.

He seems smug about it, so some poor idiot might have given him a contract.
That sounds more like he didn't get a contract to me. Particularly the not hamstrung bit and not having to do lolcals.

I agree with this assessment. I lean toward Nick cobbling together some guerilla-type sponsorship with an entity (or group of them) that is not Rumble and possibly a reduced Rumble contract with fewer obligations. Him wishing Rumble a billion dollars would be funny though.

I am curious to see what he does and how motivated he is. If he actually puts in effort and maintains some consistency with a new format or slate of content, that will tell me how much he knows he fucked up. If nothing comes of it, this is just another broken promise and Nick will continue to stagnate as he is now.

I prefer the former because it provides new content and chance for laughs. If Nick actually puts in work, I will give him all the credit for it, but he will never regain the fanbase he destroyed. I just doubt his ability to be mildly successful ans ignore his detractors. Nick thinks we hate him when all we do is laugh at his stupidity. Stop being stupid and we stop laughing and get bored.

I'm leaning on it's a cope since he did unbreaded. It signals to me that he thinks all the plummeting he's been doing so far is all the fault of his 'schedule' and once he fixes that, he can just go back to doing the old things and things will be right again and he'll start climbing up again.

That stuff stopped being mildly amusing after the first read. I'll never understand the appeal of reading it everyday over and over again.
Because Nick's approach to humor and comedy is to take a funny joke and run it into the ground until he hits the center of the earth. Unbreaded is the obvious example, but just look at his stand up comedy with how repetitive the jokes are (if you can call them jokes). Or the balldo which started as a joke segment he went on and on about for and then became a recurring thing. Or back in the day how he do nothing but the Lungmoine song parodies which got old fast. Dude has no sense of comedic timing.

Dude has no sense of comedic timing.
Partial song parody:
He's quick with a joke
Or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace he'd rather be
He said Bill I believe this is killing me
as the smile ran away from his face
I'm sure I could be a gay pornstar
If I could just get out of this place
Oh Nicky Rekieta you're the balldoman
Cope and seethe more tonight
We're all in the mood for some lawsplaining
The balldo is on too tight

possibly a reduced Rumble contract with fewer obligations. Him wishing Rumble a billion dollars would be funny though.
I'm skeptical on it being a rumble renewal. Even if it was at a reduced rate/capacity, he would have gloated about it and be insufferably smug cause he thinks kf is convinced he wont be getting renewed. No way in hell he won't parade it around even if the contract is now super shit since he wont have to divulge the details. Dude is hankering for an own on kf.

I like how I make a joke about Rackets experimenting with the logistics of how three men can fuck each other in the ass at the same time and then it comes out that Rackets wants to make his show about "exploring masculinity"

This must be how Null feels when he says that he is the unmoved mover.

Hmm....
Best friend (Dick) launders drug money.
Follows a bunch of drug dealers and unsavory people.
Takes many clandestine late-night trips to the city.
Has lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time.
Has aged rapidly in the last year.
Blows off work with specious reasons.
Voice is drastically different and nasaly.
Mental health is clearly on the decline.
Openly talked about drug use in the past.

What could be wrong with Nick? What could be wrong with Nick? We may never know.
Fuck you just described people my slum lord clients would hire and then send me to deal with.

Only thing missing is needing 100 dollars to take his dog to the vet.

He's already off to a bad start because he seems to blame other people messing with his successful format for his troubles. He ignores that he drove away most of the audience that made him rich.

If he managed to talk someone into giving him guaranteed income, precedent suggests he'll slack off, vacation all summer, then halfheartedly try to pull up shortly before his assessment is due.

It could be a pity contract. Minimal money and requirements, but it lets Nick claim affiliation and Rumble use Nick as one of 'their exclusive creators' to pad out their numbers. If that is the case, Nick has to fill out the rest of his financial base (2k of snacks does not pay for itself) then he will drop it all as a big own on the haters.

I reserve judgement until something (most likely nothing) happens.

I am not here to cuntguard, but I will posit the idea that since Kayla has done theatre performances, she would present very wildly on-camera, as stage performances often have exaggerated gestures. With that said, she's pretty bonkers, as the many drama department students I engaged with aren't even a thousandth of a percentile as cookoo as she is (for women at least, the men can be more mercurial).
Theater could do it, but she also had a bunch of little kids in the last fifteen years, got a certificate in early childhood education and homeschools.

Have you ever been around any one who had taught little kids for years? Like a ten year veteran kindergarten teacher? It permanently alters their facial expressions and voice. Little kids rely heavily on facial expressions so teachers are trained to be very expressive and use exaggerated expressions. Voice must always be happy or soothing. Watch any YT videos adults make for the under 7 set. I’ve always wondered how kindergarten teachers manage in the adult world with their affectations.

Theater kids ending up in early childhood education careers is far more likely than ending up on the professional stage. TBF we actually need early childhood teachers, not more fucking musicals.

As one of the earlier "no contract" predictors, my default assumption is that he has not gotten a renewal, and I think his whole "subverted expectations" bit is about that and that he is coping. However, I will say that I think it is still too early to say that this is confirmation of Rumble completely kicking him to the curb.

Nick has loved to namedrop Rumble and Locals every time he talks to them, so the lack of that name drop makes me think that they haven't talked much, so a real high-money contract like he had last year is out.

I will add another possibility: Rumble's pity contract is essentially an equivalent to a "youtube partner" deal where he gets a slightly bigger share of the superchats and ad revenue (lol) on the platform, but is not acting as a brand ambassador the way he normally would. This would be a great way for him to save face and own the Farms, but I would not count it as "having a Rumble contract." The Rumble contract was about promoting Rumble/Locals by doing certain things (the flip, the mandatory streams, etc.), and I really doubt that Nick is getting another one of those given everything he has said.

For the would-be youtubers trying to learn from Nick - don't ever take one of these exclusivity deals with only a 1-year term. Lock in at least 4 years (see the Daily Wire contract) so you can actually cash out when you are cashing out your reputation.

What this says to me is he was pressured to cover Trump in hopes he'd boost superchats and it failed. So now they gave up and will let him go full degenerate again. The fact he doesn't have to do the locals streams tells me that deal is done. He seems hard set on the male feminist route. My prediction he is going to go left is still in place.

Rumble came in lower than YT ( $87 ) but both had low numbers for what was hyped up as a big thing. If this is the new show format it seems to have had a bad start. Nick(31197417) said 11 in chat.

This is a far cry from when the Monty suit started and he was bragging how much money he was going to make and how much fun it was going to be to cover.
