But in hindsight there were all kinds of signs. His obsession with futas and asking everybody about "balls or no-balls" should have been my first clue that he was a closet freak.
That's just a beaten horse zombie from the Weeb Wars Saga that should've been persevered for off-topic streams. It was awkward when he forced it where it didn't make sense because of his dumb superchat pledge.

I'll moralfag hard here though. What the hell he doing saying that during the Rittenhouse interview, which he then proceeded to cope about in post?

Nah, people never soured on spoony and to this day (me at least) wish he could've pulled up and stop being such a sad sack.
Also, when Spoony started spiraling, people were still able to look at his past work with the same level of appreciation as they did when they first watched them. Nick is has devolved so much that most of his former fans aren't even willing to watch the videos that made them fans in the first place.

Do I feel foolish for believing Nick? A little, yeah. But I also learned a very valuable lesson about the honestly (or lack thereof) of online streamers, and am comforted by the fact a hell of a lot of people were fooled too. I think I'm in good company
For me I don’t particularly care that he fooled me, it’s more that he’s a boring mess that is slow destroying his life now that the mask is off.

Jim mentioned that he thought at one time that Nick could make the jump to bigger media.

He didn’t get the cushy legal commentator on a conservative outlet contract
Between Nick's appearance at You Are Here podcast (which at the time was a Glenn Beck's The Blaze production) and his namedrops and 1 appearance on Crowder- it still seemed like it was possible, even within the last year.

I think the biggest reason it took me as long as it did to see the mask slip is that I avoided Drex streams like the plague. The first one was interesting, every single stream after that was monotonous repetition of both his previous points, as well as people's names.

"Nick. Nick. But Nick tho. Nick. Nick. Nick. German shepherds be trippin."

I also avoided the Dollhouse Phil streams and just assumed, incorrectly, that having him on was the joke. Turns out he's one of Nick's heroes.
Same. I avoided like 95% of the Drex streams because it was the same MGTOW shit over and over again with Drex. Others have told me the same thing. If there were some cracks appearing in Nick from those streams, that would be why I missed them. I presumed everything was above board from the glimpses I did catch. Such as the Jack Murphy thing, and the whole "we need to bring shame back." It's really bizzare watching that old content now in light of what's going on now.

It took the shit with Ralph for me before I perked up and realized something was off.

I think I missed the raccoon and skunk stream because I didn't give a shit about the guest he had on that night (Hard Bastard?). Truth be told, throughout most of 2019, I was mainly in it for Weebwars. There he came across as the wholesome family man who didn't like seeing decent people get railroaded. I might entertain the notion there was an "incomplete front," but he knew his audience in WW, and there was very much a front for that audience.

EDIT: Elaboration.

Here's an open question:

What would Balldoman have to do to feel shame, guilt and remorse at his own behavior?

Kill a child or disable someone.

It would have to be deathly serious. Nick is the one who acts out for attention like a toddler. This is the basis of his 'you are mad', response to criticism. The negative attention encourages him where it should dissuade. Nick learned the wrong lesson as a child.

Accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior.

"Guys. I. Already. Accepted. Jesus. The Holy Bible. Says nothing. About. Putting on the Balldo."

"I killed a kid drunk driving? I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what that's referring to. I hope you make a million dollars though, read more fiction."

I'm convinced at this point he has an excuse or cope for anything that he's accused of, regardless of the severity. He'll stream to Rumble from his car (that he's living in) parked in front of Salvation Army if it means looking like nothing is wrong.

Just to add to that, there was a legitimate fear in his chat and here that he was going completely abandon his night show and go squeaky clean law guy. Him going mega degenerate wasn't on anyone's radar.

Still, Id be interested in the opinions of the forum. I didn't watch Nicks early content, so I'm not qualified to comment either way. I don't really have a horse in this race....

I’m an outlier in that I was vocal about Nick being a degenerate alcoholic as far back as 2020.
I always thought he drank too much alcohol, I was always put off by his talk of sex shops, futas, hentai etc, but also felt that he was trying to be a cringy e-daddy with all of his “men shouldn’t cry” “men don’t get respect until they’re 35” etc etc.

There was never a moment when I thought he was a good person, where I thought he was an actual Christian, or a trad father. I also always saw through his bullshit, like when he milked YouTube temporarily banning him for a weekend to launch his rumble career, or those stupid toasts, which I had been complaining about for years.

All of that said, he definitely changed. Nick today is 2020 Nick 50x. He talks more shit, licks the bottle which he didn’t do, and makes more gay comments than ever before,

I think its more a question of getting him to accept responsibility for any of his own behavior. That seems to be more the issue.
I get the sense that there is alot of shame, guilt and remorse going on under the surface already. But he will never admit it or take responsibility for his actions.

🌈

Fully sober up, get completely dry of all the fun stuff(s), get off the internet completely and throw himself into family life for at least 6 months. The dawning realisations and mortification will surface to consciousness as the substances in him diminish and as he rebuilds all the meaningful relationships and connections he has irl. Then confession or therapy, whichever helps salve his conscience.

Maybe.

he needs to keep up the denial in order to prevent taking yet another step down on the ladder of humiliation.
being an alcoholic + pervert + balldo enthusiast is already pretty bad, but it's still a step above being an alcoholic + pervert + balldo enthusiast + BBC cuckold.
It's funny how a degenerate mind of a perverted alcoholic works.
"Why yes, my family and community avoids me out of disgust and pity, no decent person wants to collaborate with me anymore, and I destroyed everything that generations of people in my family worked for, the wealth, the reputation, the sheer comfort of being happy with who they were."
"BUT, I'll have you know that unlike other perverted alcoholics, I do not invite random black gentlemen to inseminate my spouse, whilst I unsuccessfully attempt to hold the tears and vomit mixed with bile from coming out, as I squeeze my johnson in the cuck corner. I'm just that great of a man, I'm doing fantastic".

If you got taken in by Nick during a time of emotional turbulence, I think you should just forgive yourself and not continuously do an autopsy on where you went wrong. Narcs like Nick prey on people who aren't in their right mind. Just know in the future that anyone taking money from you doesn't actually care about you and will snake you at a moment’s notice.

He really lost a great resource when he started to go degen, and then later told everybody here to get fucked. At least as far as covering Internet centric drama.

Nick was lost last year in terms of motivation for covering law content even if he had the legal documents themselves, as was the case for the Gunt's legal woes of the time. It was Null who who ended up providing coverage for his audience.

Sure, it wasn't a high-profile case, but it was law-related and entertaining which is more than what could be said of Nick's show at the time.

When Nick‘s doctor was seeing him last week, he remarked that he hadn’t seen such a great specimen of a tremor like that since he was doing the health checks on the local high school football team.
Not a thing wrong with the man!

“Whatever you’re doing, Nick” he said, “keep at it, and tell that fine looking wife of your‘s, that she’s on the right track, but maybe give her a few of your pointers to lose another ten pounds. We don’t want her looking like a porker beside you, when you are clearly in the best shape of your life! Now get on out of here, and here’s a prescription.… for a bottle of whiskey!”

Then, after Nick downed the whole bottle and licked it clean, everyone else's eyes were opened to Nick's greatness and how wrong they had been to judge him.

Oh, and that doctor? Albert Einstein.

Electroshock therapy. Jk.

I think his psychological problems run deep. He's like a perpetual 14-year-old edgelord who wants to scream, "Fuck you!" and flip you off if you criticize him or tell him to do anything he doesn't like. His whole life seems to revolve around spite. He'd probably have to hit rock bottom to get it through to him that instead of being the smartest person in the room, he's on the road to ruin.
