Should I post what I found in page 294 of the crab shack chain I just got invited to?
That user is on a very positive trajectory and have successfully worked on fixing their problems in many ways, including getting a job and so on, instead of doubling down on being retarded like some of the other ones. Do what you want but it is a person that we are rooting for, in other words a potential lolcow turning into a normal person.

It's a discussion forum. This is not an issue. There's multiple off-topic boards and I'd like to see those grow so the site has some stability and activity even if we're in a slump content wise.

Edit: I think that if people feel they can't talk conversationally on the main off-topic boards, I'm doing something really wrong and I'd like to see how it can be loosened up.

A big issue is that the new topics section to the right gets swamped with assholes posting 10 unfunny threads an hour, and it gets saturated.

I hate to say it but a lot of regular users from my conversation also flinch a little because they expect you or one of the mods to come along and shit on the fun if it gets enough attention. There's too much moderation. I'm not saying that perception is earned or not but it definitely exists.

The best thread on this forum in my experience is the donator section spiderman thread because people are allowed to actually be funny without reprecusion. The website is surprisingly uptight for one that was born from keeping track of an autistic retard who likes Sonic.

inb4 some derogatory comment in response that doesn't address this message.

While I agree that people should try to remember there's plenty of space to start myriads of conversations, isn't it pretty normal for people to crave for more private instances of communication?

There's also issues of identity:

- The Catler drama had users talking in "private" about their disgusting fetish. There's is, of course, no place for them to chat about it outside of DMs, specially because of the ERP sessions. And, as everyone saw, all the weirdos that partaked in it got made fun of.

- While I doubt there's many more users with similar skeletons in their closet, the normal user may still feel like talking about certain subjects would give them a bad rep, or that it would be "unbecoming" of the identity they have formed in the forum to be seen writing about the subject. Thus, they form their own "sub community" with those they think they can feel free.

Regardless, yeah, it is a discussion forum, and one of its advantages is the ability to ignore users. So, if one of your gripes is retards shit talking you, just enter their profile and click ignore. And if your problem is shitters not contributing to your thread, report it, and they will, most likely, get threadbanned.

okay yes, I posted these while I was drunk out of my mind, I've not drank since then, I've been bettering my life as well
Why couldn't you have hid these in an password-protected folder? At least if you're drunk, you'll probably be too out of it to remember how to get in it

That was under a different account name lassy. No one would have known it was you unless you posted this. Why do it to yourself? Also add me to whatever crab shack is.
because someone would eventually said it was me, I'm owning up to it, I'm sorry for even doing it

because I'm obviously stupid

Finally.

I quit the Catler's furry PM chain someone put me on mostly because I wanted all my notifications to be for stuff that I was involved in (if I had written a PM to someone, then I would want to be notified if they called back) and figured that there was zero reason to be on it.

Best case was that it would always mean I had a notification that wasn't real, worst case someone would eventually out it and paint me as some sort of degenerate.

Still I'm mildly flattered that I was invited at least. I was in A&H for a while on my old account more than anything else, was clearly right-leaning, and STILL wasn't invited to the pro-Trump PM leaked around that time.
