Null always told us to archive EVERYTHING.
It never occurred to anyone to archive reaction scores.

No, DMs are still good for digging into a target as a group without the threat of a DFE (the zoosadism investigation groups make heavy use of this). It's also good for drafting posts before posting them publicly (I did this for the Torswats thread). He should also disable DMs for all users, force people to chat in the open.
okay, nix the lounge, just give me my sticker score back, and nobody elseat this point you telling me what to do is probably the most surefire way to get me to not consider it.
I think there's a "cute animals" thread or something like that in the General Discussions board.I left my animal posting dm thread and regret it, should I just make a public thread or is there already one? it'd be titled similarly to the dm chain except it'd be "random animal videos in this thread"
It's dopamine-maxing.It's very normal to want the approval of the community. Humans are hard-wired for it.
Remove all except the thumbs-up like reaction. Go old-school.remove reactions
What if I offer $260?at this point you telling me what to do is probably the most surefire way to get me to not consider it.
And incentivize using Sneedchat, because it's so easy for spergery to arise when you can instantly post short text messages instead of full forum posts. He should also disable DMs for all users, force people to chat in the open.
Commit yourself to a keto diet, don't ever use cheddar on anything, cultivate as many banana peppers as you can.at this point you telling me what to do is probably the most surefire way to get me to not consider it.
You rode the short bus to school, didn't you?I'd like to see what is going wrong that people prefer sprawling message exchanges
If he's gonna keep one score it has to be Boxershort's, seeing that -6 million score was funny every timeokay, nix the lounge, just give me my sticker score back, and nobody else
just me
because that's possible, i'm sure
I don't want to get notifications for all the threads I have on the watched threads list. A lot of them I care enough to add them to the list to be able to jump to quickly, but do not necessarily care about being informed the instant there is a new post.does this not work? I get notifications very reliably.
I agreeI wonder if the stickers actually remove unnecesary "i agree" posts being made.
Could be a test run to see if it reduces junk posts
Yeah I like the stickernotifs as a soft way of gauging people reading and adding new activity to a thread but ill give this watched thingo a whirlI think this is a good idea that way I can still have the satisfaction of knowing some faggot likely knows I gave them a trashcan.
Again, I agree with you fully. I like that part of the site’s culture. I just point all this out in response to this;I don't think we should be taking any efforts to make people like that more comfortable than they already are. If anything, I think we should be warning them that "hey retards, even in DMs your shit will get doxed and mad trannies will call up your boss and the guy you disagreed with four months ago will change his pfp to your face".
I don’t think Null or the jannies are doing anything wrong, I think the site’s culture is just inherently not friendly to casual conversation (at least in the off-topic boards as most of those are hobby-centric)I think that if people feel they can't talk conversationally on the main off-topic boards, I'm doing something really wrong and I'd like to see how it can be loosened up.
you know you could have just turned that off, right?I will say this is really nice, no need to sort through my MOUNTAINS of positivereddit karmareactions to see who responds to the gold that are my shit posts. I end up missing stuff sometimes when I check in the next day on the site.
no, it incentivizes making popular posts, not quality posts.Maintains incentive to post quality content, without gamifying it.
