Are we really so retarded as a site that we need daddy Null to shield us from reaction scores and notifications instead of using our brain cells and seconds of our time to go to Privacy and Preferences? And clicking Leave when being invited to a DM chain you don't like?
Apparently so.
We really are autistic, aren't we? :stress:
We're posting on this site, aren't we?

I just want to shitpost in DMs. People that get invited to them have always had the ability to hit leave and decline future invites. Anybody complaining that they get invited to DMs and that hurts their feelings aren't cut out to use this website anyway.

Allow me to demonstrate the issue with the placement of Watched Threads.
Waste of space in blue, annoying placement in red.
So much fucking empty space. The entire layout of the page is off-balance. The colums were somewhat organized before and close enough to even. The left primary column was for the primary content of the site, while the right was informational. It just... doesn't make a lot of sense to me, especially when anybody who uses the Watched Threads list should go to the full page easily accessible with a single click on the top bar like a sane person. Just middle-click the threads into new tabs and reuse the same watch page.
Solution: Just make it collapsible.

Reactions: Myrtle the Turtle
In disappointing news, it's going to be a lot less funny when I piss off a sperg hard enough they spend hours giving me reddit downvotes as if I actually care. In less disappointing news, people are being spergs and that's funny.

Absolutely; I can understand Josh's desire for the a discussion forum to be about discussion and for people to not judge others by "points"--but then why have the pink triangles, or any other indication that a person could be "troublesome"? Hell, if the discussion is all that matters, why not just make the board entirely anonymous like one of the chans?
Stickers are supposed to exist to encourage self-moderation, but the only reason stickers would make someone self-moderate is if they matter. Post reactions and the reaction score, a proxy for your KF reputation, is what makes stickers matter.

What bothers me is that the way I browse the site has been forcibly changed for the worse because of this. It is now harder for me to find the content I want to read and I don't feel like putting in extra effort to learn a new way for what I feel are arbitrary reasons. The old way worked perfectly fine for years. There is no reason for this change except Null thinks people should enjoy the site in a specific way and I don't want to be told how to enjoy the site.

have you ever even looked at Q&A? There's no fucking moderators there. Nobody cares.
I very half ass mod it. See the disaster we are now witnessing. I constantly write that anything we say here should just be funposting and not thirstposting. Whatever I write and most others write is just a joke, but if it isn't, I want to know and deal with it like I did.

Without stickers I don't get the little rush of dopamine or notification that a thread is really active. Wish I could turn it back on to get my fix

Goddamit, I find myself agreeing with the JIDF nigga... like why not just have them off by default and let us enable the notifications if we so desire?
