I think he should let people turn sticker notifications back on and every time they get a dumb rating their device plays an "OOF!" sound effect to demoralise them further.
it's all very embarrassing really isn't it. behold the big bad doxxing kiwi farms. oh what's this, everyone's sad? oh it's because they don't get instant alerts when someone else likes or hearts their post?
very gay and cringe. if it was happening on resetera we'd be posting and making fun of it

I'm not re-enabling alerts. I have used this forum continuously for a decade without alerts for reactions without issues. If anything, it appears to have ingrained into people bad habits that they don't want to break.
"I can't remember where I post; I am a retard."
User Flyout Tab > Your Content
"I want to see what posts of mine are active."
User Flyout Tab > Reactions Received
"I want to know other people's score to see if I can dismiss them wholesale."
I **might** add something that indicates if someone's score is greater than or less than 0, but otherwise you're just going to have to use your brain.

I want instant alerts because it's the easiest and most efficient way to keep tabs on multiple threads at once on phone. The fact Null is conflating that convenience with a need to see sticker points is missing the point.

Because I am seeing a bunch of dopemaine addicts freak out over the score and it conviced me that the ratings as a whole have trained people to be retarded.

"Gee! I'm on a website where I get repeatedly and regularly reminded to practice web hygiene and the entire site is about mongs who couldn't keep from spilling every single detail about their private lives online, I'm also told to use a different email address and an alias that can't be linked to my real life!..."

"... now lemme get into faggy DM's to talk about my private life, hobbies and a massive amount of identifiable information!"

Absolute Somalian level IQ.
Why does every place online have to turn into a social circle? I don't want to be friends with any of you and I thought that was sort of a silently agreed upon rule when you make an account on the farms but apparently not, apparently there's a shitload of you that can't go 5 seconds without talking about your hecking privaterinos and trying to make some of those cool frienderinos. Maybe learn to deal with not being able to say Nigger, Kike and Faggot and go to Reddit, since apparently you're treating this place as such anyway. I'm amazed how much I know about some of you just from your public posting so I shudder to think how much shit you apes are giving away in private!
I can't believe I have to say this on the farms but, If you want to talk about your private life:
Go get some friends, and no, online faggots on a website about documenting and mocking lolcows aren't friends.
I'll even do you one better: The "boys" online that you're playing videogames with aren't your friends either but are a thousand times better to confide in than people on a LOLCOW FORUM.
As far as the "ReAcTiOnS" being turned off: Good riddance, I turned that shit off the moment I made my account, how sad do you have to be to give a flying fuck about some random updoots or "numbers" in general, again: Absolutely Reddit-brained.
I still can't believe the farms has an actual heckin-shadow-society in it's DM's and active like-farmers tugging their cocks (or rubbing their clit, whatever) to some little icons. It's a good thing Null is taking a broom to this place.
This is some legit shit based on a real experience I've had a few weeks ago: Null Xeeted something and I read a few of the replies, 15 min later I found a post with the exact same reply on the Farms, absolutely braindead. It was incredibly easy to find a chain of accounts leading to some real ass shit about this person. Now since I'm not a psychopath I won't do anything with this info. I just found it hilarious. I wonder how many of you are doing the same thing without thinking about it?
Because I am seeing a bunch of dopemaine addicts freak out over the score and it conviced me that the ratings as a whole have trained people to be retarded.
Then why not kill ratings altogether? This isn't a "haha you won't" kind of post, I'm not sure what the point of ratings are if they're not instant feedback on what people think of your posts.

But you also had complete control over your own and others' scores. Of course they don't matter to you, and you probably don't want to see hundreds of notifications every day with people reacting to what you've said, but for everyone else it's nice to see when someone's reacted to something you've posted, even if it's bad.
You're taking away a nice numeric statistic from the autism forum, you can't possibly expect it to've been something people would be happy with
Because ratings are still useful as an overall barometer by which to measure the feelings of the majority who browse the thread, and select thread highlights.

Null, my man, I insist that this isnt the way to go, the score/reaction notification is just based on simple convenience for most people and its just how people are used to do this for a while now. Im not saying you cant change it, Im just saying that this is bound to be an unpopular opinion even with people who dont act like fucking retards. You are on the money with the DM shit tho.
The farms are more stable than ever and we should be thankful for that instead of jumping the gun on decisions like that. Decisions that, as you can see, many people without a reputation of being idiots arent particular fans of so I insist you re-think this.
We shouldnt let the retardery of the few affect the non retarded majority
Because I am seeing a bunch of dopemaine addicts freak out over the score and it conviced me that the ratings as a whole have trained people to be retarded.
Then let them be retarded and they will be properly made fun of, its kind of our thing, ya know? Its their choice to act this way and thus the mockery is the natural consequence.
Them idiots arent making the farms look bad but merely themselves.
Sometimes you get a medal, sometimes a puzzle, thats life, ya know?
Except I've been getting notifications for threads I'm watching for the past 3 days and to this morning without any issue, so it's sounding more like a you problem.
