I have a feeling the change to reaction stickers will just lead to people quote-replying people with reaction images now. But the change only happened today, so who knows how this plays out.

Quote replaying with sticker emotes will die off. However I do feel more inclined to post more stupid things since it's not like I can tell if people think my posts are shit.

This is a great site-wide change. I disabled ratings notifications several months ago and I’ve been very happy with the experience. IMO it will only improve user interactions.

i think reactions are were a motivator for people to contribute positively

I predict people using less stickers in general and if users really like or dislike a post, they'll bother to reply and quote it. An element of a particular kind of site interaction will decline and some may end up seeing the existence of reaction stickers as superfluous.

Look, Im all for taking away my sticker score, but instant notifications for stickers are much easier for forum engagement than actively following threads you only have a passing interest in.

and taking away the sticker notifications is the wrong move. I like being sure that people saw me thanking them for correcting me or adding more information to something I said/speculated about. Plus it's good shorthand for telling someone they're being retarded

Honestly, Null might think this isnt a big deal, but breaking notifications is going to be a literal deal-breaker— pun entirely intended.

It's also unrelated to why Null even took away stickers in the first place; it's just overly hostile UI design for a forum.
