ive been looking forward to alan wake 2 since 2010 and as soon as they showed a frizzy haired negress as the main character all my desire to play it died instantly.

Back then I even bought the collector's edition set that came with an art book, sountrack CD, and Alan Wake figurine. I played it/American Nightmare a few times and loved it so much. Somehow the trailers for AW2 went under my radar and the other day I realised the game came out so I haven't really seen what it looks like until I stumbled upon this thread, and... Yeah. I won't be buying this one. Not even on a sale. Hell, I won't even pirate it. Idk, it's just such a shame. It was a great game/story/gameplay.

If you force every AAA dev to get laid off, the good ones are going into indie games or the surviving studios, and will do good work there. It's a harsh filter, but they've earned it for failing to apply the easier filter when they had the chance.

I just can't wrap my mind around buying a game and never playing it. To me, there's nothing more consoomer whoring than having a library of a bunch of games you paid for and never played. Even if it's $5-10. Sure console players do it too, but PC gamers seem to do it the most.

A fair bit of my steam library was from humble bumbles where you get like 20 games for like $10 and yeah you are going to get some trash.

That's why they consistently try to muddy the waters. Not a single gamer gives a flying fuck about the latest brown person walking simulator. Gaming has been incredibly diverse from day 1 and it's never been an issue. They don't want to live and let live like we've all done for decades, they want their slop to be the only thing on the menu. They may preach peace and acceptance but they will brook no deviation from their gay plan. Everything else MUST be destroyed because they can't accept a different and varied world-view.

Consoles are extremely simple to mod these days. You can usually find a plug and play solution for pretty much any console. The ones that don't have that are so trivial to mod that it doesn't make sense to not mod them in the first place.

And this is exactly the lesson more people needed to have learned from Gamergate and hopefully more will learn from this round. It's the only real path to victory. Don't buy their shit and explore older games. If you insist on playing a more modern game, pirate it or find any other way to play it without giving them your money.
