I don’t know much about Alok’s thing besides his little girls are kinky quote
I agree with the rest of your comment regarding Alok being someone who gets off on being so repulsive and daring people to say something, but just for the sake of being accurate I will point out that the little girls are kinky thing, it was Janani Balasubramanian (the pooner from DarkMatter) who said it -

Alok kept quiet about who exactly said it for a while, but since their falling out (
which I detailed in their thread here) he's been quite open that it was Janani. They both refuse to acknowledge DarkMatter so I think they're both embarrassed about it. He did keep working with Janani for a while after (and they even reposted it) so he's not exactly blameless, but he did at least not type the words "little girls are kinky" and "I was a kinky little girl".
I suspect he gets the majority of his duds for free and for a very limited time, depending on some fashion marketer’s plan. With a whole outfit thrown his way like a bone now and then for being a good boy. He (or his wranglers) probably charge different rates depending on whether he casually wears the clothes in a video or formally at an event.
It’d be a pretty sad state of affairs for him if he was expected to buy that stuff. I suspect that his fashion work is the only thing bringing in money these days. And he may only get a cut of what his agency gets.
I sometimes wonder if he had any misgivings about the Bud Light gig. Given his class & status before trooning out as a gay actor wannabee, probably not.
He definitely is getting some of his outfits for free - we
know he got styled for a runway by Gaga's Haus Labs, for example (since they did a TikTok about it) and he's been a brand ambassador a couple of times (notably for Kate Spade, who was trying to target a more youthful audience... I think he was quietly dropped as he's not worn Kate Spade in ages). He's apparently been a "muse" (vehicle) for Christian Siriano and he has also had Brad Goreski as a stylist who might have opened some doors. But I think he
is buying at least some of the stuff, because Max Mara would never have sent him out in their bodysuit styled like this -

Chanel would never have signed off on this -

Miu Miu are unlikely to have signed off on this (he acknowledges he styled the "chocker" himself, which was a belt from a fanny pack)

and this is vintage Vivienne Westwood which doesn't fit him (and I'm fairly sure I found when it was auctioned to him) so it's not from their archive -

I do genuinely believe that he is spending a good chunk of money on designer clothing. He's absolutely still getting some stuff from designers (more than once, he seems to have worn samples that never made it to production) but while smaller designers may see him as a means to an end, I doubt the bigger houses want anything to do with him, which is why his more expensive pieces tend to be so ludicrous. Wearing a designer's outfits to a designer-sponsored event (even if they didn't give it to you and you had to buy it) is a known tactic for social climbers. Then again, maybe there's a drunk fashion PR handmaiden somewhere willing to lend things out to him.
