It is important to note a few things about NATSAP: they're in on the scam, indeed helping programs avoid investigations, and deeply wound up with the worst of the industry including Aspen Education, CEDU, Elan, and some of the worst programs out there, that are still fucking operating, such as Island View, and SUWS, which Dr Phil's stupid bald ass put kids in on TV.
Also, it's involved with Provo Canyon School (from 2005 onward) which has deep, deep
DEEP ties to WWASPS, so don't believe for a fucking second there are no connections.

obvious. If you look a little further back, you can see NATSAP more than happy to be in bed with WWASPS.
They cheerled a fucking bought and sold smokescreen legislation where a board made up of staff from programs, including the notorious WWASPS program known as Spring Creek Lodge, the alpine hell with a gravel pit, suicide, unheated isolation shack called the "hobbit" and all.

You already know about the seminars all WWASPS programs have, and the general gist of them, but let's look at SCL in particular for a second:

Spring Creek Lodge also had something called "the hobbit" where kids were put in isolation with no heat in the winter, had to wait for a chaperone to use a portajohn to relieve themselves, sometimes soiling themselves, and slept on a wooden board.
SCL also had a gravel pit about 1.2 miles away from the program proper:

As bad as this is, this is just scraping the surface. Michelle "Mickey" Manning, the woman who ran SCL, and even ran programs after WWASPS folded up in the same buildings with new names, is a fucking monster, but going into that would be another big long form post, and this is mostly me saying "NATSAP you suck and I can prove it trivially."
