This looks even worse than Forspoken. For all it's faults, that game at least has a few moments of unintended brilliance with how stupid the writing and characters are, as well as a few memey quips from Frey. This game looks like the most generic "We want to be the new Game of Thrones!" ESG compliant slop I have seen since Final Fantasy 16. It will have no redeeming values, and since people are now paying attention to SBI you can bet that they will get even less sales than they normally would.

It's not like you're going to be examining characters' chromosomes in the average video game, so I'm not sure what is meant here. I'd like to see it spelled out in detail. Bioware became an umbrella for multiple studios. Some of them closed (after making stinkers) others were not. Like a lot of the video game companies that were bought up in the 2000's the name continues to exist as a ship of Theseus.

She almost seems reasonable, if you forget that Kim Belair admitted that their business model is a protection racket. "Terrify them of what will happen if they don't hire us" sure sounds like "You will eat the bugs, you will live in the pod, you will have a disproportionate amount of trans/disabled/brown people in your video game".

And I really appreciated how he tried to break down the issue with jamming "diversity" into every work without reason, but he could save himself the carpal tunnel. She won't get it. She probably had never even seen a suburb until adulthood, and she doesn't get that forcibly alienating the largest demographic makes for shit sales and irate ("uppity", even) white dudes.

Nothing wrong with a little diversity in some games. But if you're going to be shoehorning in "progress flags" on every street corner in Spiderman 2, putting in ladyboy and 'ginaman character creation in Baldur's Gate 3 (I know this wasn't Sweet Baby, but someone intentionally did this; also, all companions are bisexual and fuckable), a very non-passing troon bartender in Hogwarts Legacy (ditto on not SBI), raceswapping a major character in Alan Wake 2 (this isn't a remake or "reimagining") and putting a black goddess in the Greek pantheon of God of War: Ragnarok, this is all hamfisted and lazy. These are huge, highly anticipated titles and every single one of them has this pandering crap for what is essentially blackmail for a higher credit score. People have every right to say "tone it down a little" without being slandered as member of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei.

The game which kicked off the discussion Hyper Light Breaker is made by Heart Machine who are a progressive hellscape of a company whose first game was a Kickstarter baby Hyper Light Drifter. If you go back in time you'll see some interesting names in their list of employees. Removing reference to their game from Sweet Baby's website is much more likely helping out friends.
