granted I was being a little hyperbolic regarding the wooden bat thing but regardless even the "nudge nudge wink wink I totally got this from reddit guies" is something that the farms doesn't have the luxury of allowing to the same extent that ona can. When onaforums loses cloudflare, has ding dong jones going after every level of the OSI stack for "girl talks" and has literal cia glow in the dark nigger fathers of hamster-killing psychos coming after it maybe then there's a place to complain about why the farms does things the way it does.

What if Leslie is the main speaker at said event?
I should think in general however, the staff at most events they would be at would side with Leslie.
Unless it’s a SFWA event and Fatrick tells them that Leslie doesn’t approve of adult men in relationships with young boys.

Eh, it's more like Null fighting furiously while we call people fat and cheer him on or actively try to hamper him. But I agree with the sentiment. It certainly is part of what makes this place unique.
It's not uncommon for people involved in the literary professions to host business events in private homes.
It would be hilarious if Rick tried to get Leslie kicked out of her own house cause she thinks Shane Nokes is a dillweed.

If or when Quasi closes OnA then I am sure some other person will either start another forum or whatever for them.
It’s not expensive or hard to get a basic hosting setup for a forum and provided they don’t name it something like Patrick-Tomlinson-Is-a-fat-cunt-and-here-is-where-we-are-planning-to-murder-him.com, then there is literally nothing the fat wanker can do.
He might try another lolsuit, but they can just point to the previous lolsuit as precedent and the courts will throw it out.
Maybe Quasi is unique because some people claimed he could wrangle the pests, but from what I have seen of them they are not going to publicly say anything too extreme or that realistically would indicate they are a threat to Fatrick’s life.
They won’t need much wrangling. It will just be another place that they store screenshots of Fatrick’s xitter oinks and fails.

I don't know if Quasi received his full costs, but of the $83,736.99 that Pat paid, $48,984.74 was interest due to piggy digging in his hooves and acting like a dumbass. If Quasi's costs were only the $34,762.25 original judgement against Patrick, then the rest of that is pure profit for him. I'm guessing it's somewhere in between, but I don't know if he's ever spoken in detail about his actual costs.
This also me realize that it's a good thing that 1.2 GPA Fatrick never went to college. His student loan debt would probably make this amount look paltry in comparison.
You could probably remain anonymous if you paid a lawyer to register the website for you through some legal entity constructed just for that purpose and to accept initial service for any lawsuits. Obviously more expensive that way, I don't know if that could withstand every attempt to identify you, but it would make it a lot more difficult. For most people that's probably not needed and the anonymous domain name registry services are more than sufficient to keep nutcases away. Maybe someone like @AnOminous could speak more to what steps someone could take to make it more difficult for someone to dox you in a situation like this.
Building up a $150k legal defense fund is probably the best deterrent to prevent getting fucked with though. Sneed softly, but carry a big stick.

tl;dr Depends on how he & his lawyer arranged for the lawyer to be paid and when. If he didn't owe the lawyer money, it'll all be his. If the lawyer was being paid out of fees, lawyer gets paid fees (plus interest very likely) and then the rest to quasi.

What is more likely is they immediately file a 12(b)(6) motion which is immediately granted (at least in law years).
Sounds like a threat. She should consider a restraining order if she attends anywhere Pat is, and be packing if he violates it.
Postjudgment interest in California is only 10% so that couldn't be the full explanation for it going up that much.
Null would probably know more and probably would have put more effort into not being doxed had he known exactly how crazy things would get. That is to say, technical measures are more likely to be the key than legal ones. Using a lawyer as a front from somewhere they don't give a shit about troons and are hostile to foreign subpoenas, especially from the U.S., might be one way. Or if you had more money than sense, something like the (largely criminal) Russian Business Network would be pretty bulletproof, but expensive. And they might turn on you and blackmail you if you didn't maintain your anonymity even from them since it's literally the Russian Mafia.

I believe the reason it increased by so much was that it was two different payments plus fees getting interest yearly. It was two suns growing separately, and he didn't even tried to pay the Google squash one until this year. If Quasi had the hindsight to pay his lawyers outright, he netted essentially a 50k profit from running the ONA forums

The reason it went up so such was the initial orders were for what he owed when the judgment was made + any costs associated with retrieving that money + 10%.
Quasi spent a lot getting it reinforced. Every letter to chase up was paid by quasi and could be tacked onto the bill for fatty. Because there were so many costs going on + interest it was getting to the point that by the time fatty or his lawyer had answered, there was another $1k that could be collected and not part of the most recent claim for $x.
Just the attorney sending them a letter every month asking when they are paying up was costing Quasi>pat>nikki>lynn a few hundred bucks + interest. So things like the debtor exam he blew off, fatty (lynn) paid for all parties. the entire lawsuit ended up being funded by SWFA and Robisnsons on Patricks side and Robinsons on Quasi's side.
Quasi didnt lose any money, he lost a lot of hours of his time and the potential for better returns on the money that was locked up. He probaly made a little profit which pales in comparison to the time sink it was.
Pat on the Flipside lost:
~$100k of swfa money
~$83k of Nikki's money paid to Quasi
~$10k at least of Nikki's money for their own lawyers once SFWA had ditched them.
The only people that won were the lawyers and funsters.
