RIA news agency said at least three people in camouflage clothing had opened fire at the Crocus City Hall, and that some people had been wounded.

Police had arrived at the scene, RIA said.

Video footage published on Russian social media channels showed chaotic scenes, with a large crowd of concertgoers attempting to flee the hall, followed by gunshots.

Other video footage showed a number of people lying motionless in pools of blood outside the hall

Reuters was unable immediately to verify the footage.

TASS news agency reported an explosion and a fire in the building where the shooting took place.

The Kommersant newspaper posted footage online showing smoke billowing from what it said was the concert venue building.

Angry people from Armenia perhaps? They were a once firm ally of Russia but are now on bad terms since that whole annexation of Artsakh by Azerbaijan debacle last year where Russian forces were criticized for not helping the Armenians. They only have more and more reasons to be bitter to if recent news is to go by.

My money is on Georgians, tbh.

I know it's on the website. You're saying Russia ignored the warning so you're suggesting that they should have... what? Shut down all "public gatherings" in Moscow? That doesn't seem realistic to me. And we don't know what they did to try and mitigate the risk or prepare. Obviously it still happened I'm just saying I wouldn't be so sure they "ignored" the warning unless you expect them to have shut down Moscow entirely.
Which is fair, but this thread seems to be determined to blame the US, Ukraine, NATO or anyone else BUT the Russian Security forces for what happens.

Personally I am in the camp of shit happens. But the idea that the US, or even Ukraine is behind this is absurd. Especially since atrocities like this serve nobody interests.

The spade is a spade, and this was a massacre carried out by Syrian extremists as pay back for Russias support of Assad. The USA caught wind something was up due to its activities in the region and rang the alarm bell.

For whatever reason something fell through the cracks.

When someone tells you what they are you should probably believe them. This is the side you're on.

Since when did Islamist terrorists have escape plans?
This reminded me of a scene in the war movie Anthropoid starring Cillian Murphy, which is about the real-life assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. The SOE-trained Czech commandos are poring over a map at a table, plotting the hit, when one of the men brings up the matter of an escape plan, as in, there isn't any. The other men around the table go silent and just look at him for a long moment and then get on with planning the hit. They had no illusions--and they were right. No one in that mission survived, not even their families, who the Germans killed afterwards in reprisal.

It's one of the few war movies I've seen where a gun jams at the critical moment and they're forced to improvise. They get the job done but it's messy and brutal, not at all like most action movies. Combat isn't choreographed and slick.

Since when did Islamist terrorists have escape plans?
They did in Paris

And many times in Pakistan and Iraq

And in Africa all the time

And uh you may remember this one, the recent pogromaloo in Israel?

I dunno where you got the idea that every derka derka Muhammad jihad habbening is a suicide attack

Oh hay did you guys n gals, pooners n trooners, furries n ERPers, know that 3 days ago Putin made some remarks dismissing Western warnings of derka derkaing in Russia as "provocative statements"?
“I’ll remind you of recent, let’s say directly, provocative statements of certain official Western structures about potential terror attacks in Russia,” Putin said.

“All of this looks like obvious blackmail and an attempt to intimidate, destabilize our country,” he said before the state security agency FSB.
Guess Putin is in on it with Netanyahu and the CIA and the reptile lizard aliens, HOW DEEP DOES THE RABBIT HOLE GO?!
KyleSo then, who was responsible for 9/11?
StanWhattaya mean? A bunch of pissed-off Muslims.
Frank[giggles] Yeah. What are you, retarded? [The President and his staff laugh heartily]

More footage from inside the mall

I buy it. Looking at the footage, looking at how they kill people, they don't come off as any kind of soldier. They come off as goat fuckers who can only do as much damage as they did, which while a lot pales in comparison to the reported 6k sold out theater audience members, because they're shooting poorly at unarmed civilians. The guy who kills the people huddled in a corner shoots like this is the first time he's shot anything outside of his cave. They don't look or act like professionals. I hope they are all found. I hope they are all caught alive. I hope they are all fed raw pork. I hope they are all killed in the most haram way possible.
Is that a single shot from a shotgun at one point? It sounds like it to me.
Now that you mention it those doors they try at the beginning look like they lead to some other part of the hall rather than outside. I don't speak Russia so I have no idea what they're saying and was relying on the tweet. If they were saying that they were locked in it was probably just the fear of the situation that they were in. A completely understandable situation. I'd be scared too if I got lost at the Grand Ole Opry after a mess of people opened fire.
I don't speak or read Cabbage-nigger, but from what I can tell, the paper on the door more or less says "It is forbidden to block this door"... More accurately: "Emergency Exit. Do not Block"

Doesn’t it seem strange everyone is walking so slowly in these videos? People’s faces look downright unconcerned in the auditorium video. I don’t mean this as an insult just more like I think people in Russia respond very differently than people in US during these types of situations. Am I alone in thinking this?

It's like the anime worship going on atm, instead of kicking doors in and unfucking US animation we got people projecting themselves on media not even made for their culture and the end result is rampant porn addicts and people that think Chainsaw Man is good and not a show for powerbottoms.
Go Korean. Anime and manga is degenerate garbage for the most part. Manhwa is pretty solid on all fronts. They write better, write for adults, draw WOMEN, and don't base all of their fucking stories in a high school about some lame faggot that can't tell some THOT he wants to pentrate.

I've observed the blunted and slow reactions in videos of other shootings, sadly. It's not a uniquely Russian thing. Some people just don't react quickly.

Several people in the lobby area are just casually walking after the shots ring out. You'd think they'd react instantly to gunfire, especially when it's so close. But many people have a delayed reaction I guess.

A lot of people only know gunfire from movies and not what it sounds like irl. Plus a lot of people's reaction to something they've never experienced before is to freeze. They train soldiers for a couple-three months at least and still half of them freeze the first time they're in real combat

Well if you really want to go there...it serves the interests of those looking to plunge us into WW3.
Yes, I can see how this would help cement Putin's grip on power.
Get the masses afraid and panicking and then strongman.jpg
I mean I assume you are talking about Putin since he is the only world leader that is currently invading an other country.

Well if you really want to go there...it serves the interests of those looking to plunge us into WW3.
I’d say invading your neighbors every six years or so for shameless landgrabs and constantly threatening to nuke anyone who looks at you sideways for it is serving the interests of those looking to plunge us into WW3 to a far greater extent, but for some reason the party doing so is constantly characterized as an innocent victim of circumstance and as the only force pushing for peace in the world.

European countries and Russia don’t really have police like the US which are former GWOT vets trained in advanced pavement ape circumvention and /pol/tard/pooner manifesto response tactics. They’re more to browbeat the local population into compliance and hand out tickets.
Not really. Police only handle stuff like that when they have overwhelming firepower.
These days they respond to evacuate and secure the scene while SWAT, or more tactically armed units respond.
Your average cop is a wage faggot with no constraints and a monopoly on force. Their only job is to generate revenue and murder you if it means getting home. American Police only look like they can handle shit like this because they LARP in tactical gear that they never need because the 2A community is also pro-Police for some stupid fucking reason.
That's why they stand in front of moving cars so they can shoot drivers obviously trying to flee. They only risk their lives if they know it's minimal and they get to kill you.
Once round start coming THEIR way, it's hunker down, wait for backup.

I said manhwa, not Pornwha... And either way it's better than what the Japanese are writing.

I was at a car event with hundreds of people, recording the cars when a fight broke out and multiple people started firing into the air. Upon watching the video the next day sober, I noticed how it took me about 5 seconds to realize this bullets are going to rain back down and went for cover.

I'm in the camp I hate my current life situation and want an excuse to take it out on my neighbors. I'm not very geo-political but hey lets turn the neighborhood into into a live ammo airsoft match because jews or something. I'm sure this is what my almighty overlords are leading me to.

A description of 98% of Manwha plots:

1. A bunch of portals opened up in Seoul, monsters are coming through, people are getting super powers
2. A villainous noblewoman's consciousness went back in time to before her downfall/a Korean OL isekai'd into the body of a villainess from a story she read before the downfall happens
3. Miscellaneous "returner" fantasy
4. Endless tower-climbing powerwank tournaments

There are a few gems here and there (A Stepmother's Marchen, Skeleton Soldier, and The Greatest Estate Developer, for example), but the medium as a whole is extremely repetitive and full of lazy asset-reuse for backgrounds (e.g., "Castle-nim"). Even the latter two of the three I mentioned are still powerleveling fantasies, just better executed and/or funnier.
