Was going to do a writeup on this awhile ago since I didn't see anyone point it out, but since no further information is forthcoming on the topic, this post is for interested parties trying to account for Mandy's "KF apology" picture and for posterity if nothing else.
The Mandy's overall image was a composite of many images of different women, and as far as I can tell he only used the real Mandy's name (not her likeness, profession, or anything beyond the Shreveport, Louisiana connection). Of the different pictures that were posted, this one stands out as having a direct connection to whoever is behind "Mandy" since she is actually holding a (folded) picture of a Mandy drawing:
This looks to be someone from the Smith family. Reviewing the memorial video for Daniel's father, Randy Smith, shows pictures of Randy and his family. There is a very close match for the girl holding the folded picture in terms of
hair color,
bristly hair line, and
skin tone (darker skin with lighter palms and nail beds) and would be in Daniel's sphere of influence. Here are some images from the video:
Of note is the Titanic picture since it shows a date (June 22, 2013).
If Mandy is female, then it is possible that one of the girls above is the one creating a composite persona by mixing names and experiences of people close to her with some variations, like Daniel's vehicle collision to get attention, Randy or "other" Daniel (see below) working at GM as well as images from the Internet and solicited help from family members (used Daniel's phone) to try and cover her tracks.
If Mandy is male, then it is possible that Daniel Harris created a composite persona by mixing names and experiences of people close to him with some variations (the "sister-in-law" death, Randy working at GM) as well as images from the Internet and solicited some help from female family members (KF apology picture) to try and cover his tracks.
Though "Mandy" is a composite through and through, the phone dox on Joe's show and car accident combined with pictures of Randy Smith's and the time of his death as mentioned in Balldo's Gate's
post is the strongest contender for placing Daniel as Mandy proper.
I still have questions that can't be answered without knowing more about Daniel himself. Also, unsure who
this Dan Harris is who wrote on Randy's obituary, because he mentions meeting him at Shreveport (Mandy associates with that place), appears to have worked for GM as Mandy has claimed, passively brought up how hard their life has been like Mandy does, and also doesn't sound like one of Randy's children ("met" in Shreveport) on top of a slew of other questions this raises. Without knowing more facts about the Mandy-Daniel himself there isn't much of a reference point to discern what is(n't) true or appropriated from another source.
Such is the existence of a composite online persona. Interesting that there is so much disinformation about "Mandy" compared to actual information about Daniel in terms of volume. Daniel has no confirmed pictures, academic records, or the like from what I've seen on this thread. It may be enough to convince some that Mandy is a man, which is enough for some, but the trail goes cold PDQ after that.
Funny, all the effort to show that Mandy might be, in reality... someone who barely exists.
