Baffling design decisions, devs either don't know what to do with the balance or wiggle things around, so it seems they are working on the game. No idea what they have done to Pot. The game has good things going for it but has been probably worse mishandled than SF6 at this point.

Could just be misinterpretation of the art; but in her XX+ days, I thought the shading around her eyes were more of a she's sick/insomnia, not just heavy makeup. Not really sure what's with the hair color change either. Can scream I'm just worried about nothing; but seriously worrying about her love of Paracelsus (the key she carries around) is gonna make her gender/sex special. While no doubt it's good to have a unique character back, I see where the gay flag brigade are gonna latch on.

Depends on what you're looking for; if you want a better overall game, yes Xrd Rev 2. If you want the biggest player base, Strive, because it's the newest.

Even with him toned down; Happy Chaos is several steps above Xrd Elphelt at her worse.

I'm actually way more bothered than I should be by a 20 year old man being depicted as a young teen uwu trap who's really a girl on the inside. The new Testament kind of grosses me out too in similar ways. Maybe I've just outgrown the anime rock and roll fetish fighting game series.

That was my impression too. Isn't the key (Paracelus? I can't remember anymore) powered by her blood?

I don't remember too much about her, as I was more into HOS when Accent Core came out. I just remember her having 3 blood pack icons, the key having 2 forms, and certain abilities would eat her own life, I think she had a way to regain it if you did something in a certain amount of time. But the key was a blood drinker, hers, the blood packs, or opponents.

she could transform into moroha mode by either landing her keygrab or using one of her 3 blood packs.

while transformed all her attacks, even on block, would do a bit of self damage, and you were also on a timer. if you land another keygrab you could transform back to normal mode safely and recover 80% of self-inflicted damage, or you could use a blood pack and recover 120%. if the timer ran out without doing either, you just lost all of it.

i didn't see anything about blood packs in the trailer so i wouldn't be surprised if they completely removed them. i'm honestly surprised that she even still has moroha, i expect it to be massively toned down from +R where it made her easily S-tier while in it. this also means that she definitely won't have her upgraded transformation, goku moroha, which requires you to be in moroha and spend meter + one blood pack. the transformation super alone is one of the most broken moves in fighting games with probably my favorite hitbox ever:

and goku moroha makes her absurdly strong for a short while: all gatling limits are removed, she can chain infinitely both up and down however you want (HS vacuums, 2HS moves her forward, cranks guard bar like crazy, and is plus, then you can backwards gatling to S and then back to HS and start all over. hope you didn't block her lmao) on top of some buffs like being able to jump cancel her butt slam move, even on block.

anyway, i could talk about this character all day. she's so much fun. it makes me sad that i can't even be excited to see her returning because strive is so trash. i was actually thinking about her being in strive a while back and i came to the realization that her normal mode in +R already basically plays like a strive character (:_(

Here you have the how to play, and yeah, no blood pack in sight. Seems like a relatively simple stance character. But I'm pretty much out of the loop about Strive, the Testament + Bridget thing soured me a lot just in general though I have opened it once or twice to fuck with people using May. I'm still amazed I can stay in the 9-10 floor consistently playing her, I would have expected only tryhards to be left.

That better be a fucking mistranslation. I'm not gonna make some grandiose statement about Xrd's accomplishments. But you don't fucking say you want to destroy the game you made when you finally wrestled the rights away from Sega. You weren't sure if GG would ever see the light of day again, so you had Mori make, what you billed as "The Spiritual Successor to Guilty Gear," but when you did get the rights back you fucking hit it out of the park. And you fucking made Strive to destroy that? Fall on your sword faggot, maybe Daisuke can be convinced to cut your head off to make it quick.

That appears to be every fucking Japanese company that might still have some good will to burn. Open up an American branch, in California, systematically destroy their history.
