No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

That anyone can even pantomime concern for people living within 100 miles of D.C. is astounding to me. If the cargo ship had instead been carrying a nuclear payload, its benefit to the world would be a net positive.

Spare me the plight of the commuters. I'm more concerned about the crabs.
Not a single person responsible for this act will see justice and 6 innocents are dead. You are cheering

Uhmmm based much guys???? xD

Grain dust or LNG.
Impact would not have set off a nuke, but a grain dust or LNG explosion caused by sparking during impact would have wiped out Baltimore's crime in under 10 seconds.
Baltimore is also a major terminal for shipping LNG.
Imagine the epic level of secondary explosions as tankers and transfer hubs also storing LNG ignited.

To the "but muh loss of life" whiners in the thread, I have zero sympathy at all.
These people vote 90% democrat and would happily goose step me to a mass grave and push me in to be buried alive.

They're not special. On the other hand, most of those 8,000 don't die on video. I think most people are just shocked by the footage of a huge bridge crumbling, but they are not actually emotionally affected, probably. But what do I know
I mean - it is pretty sad - you can see the services trucks on the bridge (flashing yellow lights) in the video, they probably had no idea it was coming as the horn probably didn't work either on the boat due to the power outage.

You also can see that most of them probably didnt survive the fall due to being crushed by the steel structure.

8,000 people die every day in the US. Do your hearts bleed equally for all of them? Why are these 6 so special?
This is such a fucking stupid take. How does 8,000 other people dying invalidate the worth of those 6 lives?

Even so, people can only care about what they see, and that’s 6 souls perishing on a collapsed bridge. It’s not your fat grandma dying in a nursing home.

Are you saying this was the harbor pilots fault? Like ffs, if the ship loses power that is 100% the crew's fault. The harbor pilot broadcast a mayday as soon as control was lost which was why the bridge was closed when it fell. Why even bring up the pilot at all?
No I'm not saying that at all! Pilots are awesome and highly skilled individuals. You are right, they don't have control whether a ships engine fails or not. No engine no steering.

The government is corrupt. The courts are broken. The demographics are ruined irreparably. The population is complacent and docile cattle. There's no where to run and no place safe; the rest of the world is just America's property.

I don't care about a bridge or the people on it. There is no combination of words in the English language that can persuade me to give a single shit. I'm happy to see something happen for once. I hope similar things happen every day. The more terrible things that happen, the fewer economic migrants we get.

This planet needs an enema, and you can stick the hose in California.

A coworker at my [REDACTED previous place of employment] actually had this happen at a former job of his. He said that a pajeet via a 3rd party employer interviewed for some low-level IT job and did well, but when actually hired a few months later, it ended up being a completely different pajeet who showed up. I guess it was a disaster from the get-go, because the pajeet who showed up could barely speak English, and things like Office and Excel were out of his league. Apparently because the whole "onboarding" process happened during Covid and most things were being done via Zoom or phone, it took them a while to realize it wasn't even the same guy who interviewed for the job. Apparently this is relatively common in the IT/office type employment realms.
One of the clients I'm assigned do has started outsourcing pajeets.

This is how it usually works. You get one alpha pajeet (Brahmin caste, basically Pajeet-Jews) who will speak for all the rest of them -- a tard wrangler. Then the rest will do work. Very, very poorly, very very slowly, and almost always in need of someone else to clean up after them. If you try to interact with those lesser Pajeet serfs, they will either completely ignore you or demand you speak to the Alpha pajeet. Often the Alpha pajeet will swoop into your DMs to DEMAND you stop speaking to his serfs directly.

They share credentials. Like if one person gets access to something, like say, HIPAA documentation, well, the entire Pajeet team has it because they'll just all use the same login to access it. If you don't get one of them a login? No worries, they'll "work" for 3-4 weeks before even mentioning it cause they're just using someone else's login the entire time. Something a manager needs to do, like some HR policy or procedure? Expect the lower level pajeets to be doing it using that manager's login.

This all comes up because occasionally they need help from someone on my team. Stuff like fixing accounts, or unfucking a server they've touched, or a tool is down, or what have you. And then we discover that they're logged in via the alpha Pajeet's account and the reason the entire team is down is because his password expired and all of them are slamming the AD server trying to login as him with the older password for hours. This is mostly hidden because the Alpha Pajeet is the only one generlaly who will complain, and immediately starts running interference the second he's involved.

Our current theory is that what they're actually doing is outsourcing the positions we hire for to entire teams. Like we hire 10 pajeets and that money is given to a subcontractor company who hires 2-100 pajeets to do the actual tasks + one Alpha pajeet to smooth things over. We haven't got proof of this, however.

We suspect Chinks do the same thing, by the way. Had a Chink call about 15 times demanding access to our systems weeks before his hire date. Eventually he got one of the FNG who just gave it to him rather than keep having him call back 5 minutes later saying "the previous guy was giving me access, you give access nao please." This is because as far as we can tell he had already started at the company they were subcontracting our stuff to, and he needed access to the systems before he was "hired."

When ChatGPT style LLMs reach the point that they can do the work of these Pajeets and Chinks, you'll see a fun overlap where they try to pass off LLM shit as their own work, then very rapidly companies like IBM will replace all outsourcers with LLM instances for pennies on the dollar, even compared to Pajeet labor. Presuming the Pajeets haven't completely taken over the US Tech sector by then.

The 8,000 deaths do not invalidate the worth of the 6 because they had no worth to begin with. It's six people, six people you didn't know, and would have never met even if they could have swam.

Alright hypothetically would you care more if Chris Chan was driving on that bridge as it collapsed but managed to run on the water to safety as he is Jesus Christ?

You're a single man. You don't have a lover. I can't have kids but I love the next generation of Marylanders. Is this so wrong?

I'm not defending his opinion about this horrid incident but if you listened to his podcast you'd known his absolute blackpill takes about the usa is not surprising. He regularly says it's a dying country that deserves to be robbed :dienull:
I even agree much of the time. I already alluded to having connections to the area, when something hits close it’s easy to forget everyone else is detached. I’m just rattled and should probably stop reading the thread. Sorry.
