Let me save people 20+ minutes: larger companies are buying various media outlets, specifically sites like Kotaku, so they can bank on the brand name recognition while churning out heavily SEO-based AI-generated crap. Which might be a clever idea if this was 2012, which is about the last time sites like Kotaku still had any credibility or broad appeal.
As an aside, this shit is why I stopped watching Bellular News. That boring fat faggot will drone on for half an hour delivering a message that could be conveyed in a sentence, while making a wild ass claim without expanding on it and with zero evidence. In this video he claims that Bobby Kotick was going to buy Kotaku to keep them from accidentally doing real journalism. Instead of going into details about that, something actually interesting, he instead goes back to blandly reciting the same talking point everyone watching was already aware of, slightly rephrased, over and over.
