Even before this I realized that a lot of what they were saying was fucking nuts. One TIM saying he was NEVER male, every response to that comment was agreeing with him.
I know this is likely about "I'm a woman so I'm female" but the wanton disregard of biology is peaking me even further
This guy claimed to have a rare condition called persistent mullerian duct syndrome. It's a real thing (just very very rare) where a man discovers he's got a uterus and fallopian tubes inside him.
Supposedly this kid went through a normal male puberty but doctors discovered a female reproductive system (and that the male reproductive system was infertile) so he took estrogen and had ivf, and was taking estrogen to bring the baby to term.
Except he obviously didn't. He had balls, so his gonads didn't turn into ovaries, they turned into balls. He didn't have two sets of gonads, that's not what PMDS does, those structures don't turn into gonads. Moreover there are more hormones involved in pregnancy than estrogen - just taking estrogen wouldn't help. Plus very obviously, if he was ovulating... where would the periods go? When girls suffer from vaginal agenisis it's a medical emergency when they get their first period. Plus how did they implant the fertilised eggs if he's got no vagina and no scars?
Not to mention this guy and his entire family are notorious grifters and he was also doing this to distract from the fact he was grooming little boys.
But journalists in the tabloid press are incapable of critical thinking and reported on this guy getting pregnant as fact. No retraction was published so this still gets linked to as proof that this is possible, and attempting to point out the obvious holes in this story is met with "I guess they didn't teach you this in high school biology". Except its this lot who are relying on high school biology plus one article they misread which said "some people aren't male or female, they're sort of both!".
