David Steel / LazerPig / Ricewynd / Malquistion - Pathological Liar, Reddit Historian, Femboy Thirster, and Vore Connoisseur

Fuck you David and fuck your countries stupid tank and it's fucking rifled gun.
But muh squash head.
You could potentially have a missile that is shot from the gun with a small charge and then ignites its motor outside the barrel but then you're adding a lot of complexity and need good hardening for the missile itself so that the internals can survive that sudden shock from the charge accelerating it.
Cockerill has a 105mm gun launched ATGM. I'm 80% certain I watched one kill a Russian tank.
The Sheridan had a few "turret Ka-booms" , IIRC, and were cancelled shortly
The shillelagh missile had a concerning tendency to randomly explode. That included the 30% that passed depot level inspection. The missile lingered on much longer than it should have just from the inertia of the money involved.

But only when you didn't want it to. It also had a concerning tendency to not explode when it hit the target and a third concerning tendency to shear it's wire guidance systems and then just go off in a random direction like a drunken figure skater with a machine gun.
I like the Walker Bulldog and the Chaffee, they seem like cool tanks.
The Bulldog is a super solid light tank and the Chaffee is the cutest little rascal.

That thing was such a massive piece of shit, and in typical MIC fashion no one was ever responsible and no one lost their ass. Despicable.

Cockerill is Belgian and therefore below my notice. Buncha Sam's Choice brand Germans.

The Sheridan is one of my favorite tanks for just how weird it is. But it was built on a very flawed concept, okay many flawed concepts, and was just a generally unpleasant and shitty machine.
The Sheridan is like a pug, it's deformed nature is what makes it special.

If I remember correctly, this still happened with conventional rounds as well.

Shitty or not the Sheridan didn't get retired until 1997. During Vietnam it and the USMC's Ontos have proven to be remarkably effective at chucking HE and beehives.
Yeah, still was useful in a way.

The United States didn't had the urge or need to try and make an gun-launched missile smaller then 6 inch (152mm) diameter. The derpy part is the either or situation of the Sheridan can either fire the missiles or completely wrecked the FCS for the missiles if it shoots anything else due to the recoil.

They were also semi-combustible case ammunition that are just as inflammable and explosive as current gen ammunition if something hot touches them.

my bad...thought I was in the NAFO fag thread

The WP prohibition is the dumbest fucking thing in the world, man like yeah I get why but it's still retarded.
Thankfully now we have Red Phosphorous. It glows better in IR. For marking. In case you find yourself in a situation where you can identify the enemy position enough to call in 60s, but still need to mark it for someone and regular fire isn't showing up in IR.

It's so fucking dumb. We're never gonna stop burning people alive if it's expedient and everyone knows it but still the song and dance goes on. I had an Army munitions tech tell me that he was instructed, if asked by the media, to say the blades on the Ginsu missile were 'stabilizing sabots' and deny we created an anti-Hadji flying Judgement Cut weapon. Despite everyone knowing what it's for and why we did it.

IMO them using a rifled gun is not that big of a deal since HESH is a handy general-purpose round and one could compensate the lack of a proper SABOT round by utilizing a gun-fired ATGM for the same job like the Indians do with the Arjun and SAMHO which also happens to use the exact same rifled gun design as the Challenger. The problem is that they literally can't even build new chassis any more and the newest Challenger tanks rolled out of the factory in 2002. It might be just as penny-wise, pound-foolish on par with the Nimrod AEW3 thing where the MoD thought they were being very clever and frugal trying to make an old BRITISH design do new things, only for the whole thing to cost more than just buying new E-3s from the Americans.
Incorrect, HESH is obsolete as fuck, even basic HE-FRAG the Soviets were using on T-62s is superior to HESH at this point, HESH is plastic explosive with absolutely zero fragmentation as the walls of the shell are extremely thin, absolutely terrible for anti infantry, and modern Programmable HE have surpassed it on antistructure as well. The Challenger 2 has an APFSDS round, L27A1 (CHARM3) it is similar to 3BM59 Svinets that modern Russian tanks use, it's a DU projectile with a modern projectile construction, but the C2s 2 piece ammo prevent its penetrator from being as long as M829A4 and DM53, so it's inferior. GLATGMs are useful, the Russians have used them to engage a variety of vehicles in Ukraine, but their purpose is to extend the range of your tank and replacing AFPSDS with them is both stupidly expensive, and provides worse first shot potential as they're slower than a dart, it'd also make your tanks main armament vulnerable to an APS system which would be horrible.

Well here's a video of a Chally II firing from inside and it looks like it really is two piece ammo so I'm probably incorrect about a separate primer.
No you're correct, the C2 technically has three piece ammunition, the projectile (HESH/APFSDS), propellant, and electric vent tube (this part is fed automatically from a magazine attached to the gun breech). I refer to it as two piece for simplicities sake as the loader will very rarely have to manually change vent tubes.

Falarick 105 has not been used in combat yet, the Ukrainians have no means of fielding them as their 105MM AFVs do not have BLATGM guidance capability.

Is there any actual proof (Images, documents, etc ) that Lazerpig was in the army or worked for an intelligence company? I know nobody posted in the reply's so i assume that its a resounding "no" but I want to ask regardless.

This to my knowledge comes from a Twitter joke post by Michael Kofman. If you follow Ukraine war coverage then you likely know who is he. He is a military analyst, prominent enough to have his own Wikipedia page for whatever that's worth. The lazer bear was a joke regarding Russians fielding new threats and western intelligence overreacting to it like hypersonic missiles.

Though the tweet is about a whole year newer than the oldest lazerswine video. As far as I know, the lazer bear joke began with this. Though I could be wrong. If I'm not it could further prove that lazerpig is a pathological liar.

I unironically love how Jace went on long winded rants about being "a Marine in the Army" and the role of weed in the military. This guy is like a sex pest version of him.

Actually his oldest video's from 2013.

Still, the consensus is pretty much "LazerPig never was in intelligence" or something akin to that.

I wonder how actual Marines think about that quote.

One of those guys who goes after fake veterans referred to Jace as an "ass monkey" but I don't really think he knows how far the rabbit hole goes.

Except Jace wasn't for real, as in just playing a character, and this guy apparently believes his own delusions.
