Total Solar Eclipse 2024 - Something strange seems to be going around this year's eclipse.

There's really nothing like it. I saw totality in 2017 and it was a magical experience. Anyone in the USA who hasn't seen one yet and won't see totality tomorrow, 2044 is your next chance to see it without leaving the lower 48, but realistically there's one the next year that covers much more states and is overall more accessible and will probably be a much better eclipse experience.

Everyone needs to see a total solar eclipse before they die. Partials won't cut it.

I was a little bit wtf about the state governments declaring emergency ahead of the eclipse until I thought about it and figured it's probably just a way for them to try to get federal money that they can then use for other things.

Schools closing made me nervous BUT then I remembered that people suck and even if the students were kept locked in a sub basement miles beneath the surface, there would be some asshole parent trying to say their kid was blind now and it's the school's fault for letting them look up while the eclipse happened.
Public schools suck in a lot of ways, but I get this one.

Good friend of mine who's spiritually attuned said don't look at it. So I'm just gonna go about my day and try not to look up.

Probably a pink elephant situation where you gotta look up now but im just sharing the advice. I can catch the online rerun

It seems like some of the eschatological excitement is tied up with CERN stuff, with supposed links between CERN and Abaddon/Apollyon, the destroyer from Revelations.

I remember the 2017 one, and just don't even try. It will hurt like a bitch.

Eclipse + Sun = Laser.

You don't want that in your eyeballs, you won't be able to read the Farms if you blind yourself.

Be like me. I last saw an eclipse as a kid 30 years ago. Because I used no eye protection I can still see it. One eclipse is all that anyone needs.

You guys are pussies, I still remember checking that eclipse out like my Onlyfans in 2017 and I was fine. I didn't even get totality on that way.
Another note, it's going to be raining in Houston when the eclipse comes so I'm hoping a photographer can nab a photo of the eclipse with a neat rainbow. That'll be kino.
